We stayed at The Breakers Thanksgiving week. Being off season, the hotel and town were very quiet. We had a 4th floor, 2 bed, side-view room. The room was small, but sufficient for 2 people. The hotel is older, but updates have been made and it's very nice. The only thing we noticed were some squeaking spots on the floor.... More

Essentially there is only one way to experience this hotel/restaurant. Make sure that you make a reservation, make sure you arrive about a half hour before your reservation so you can enjoy the lounge and have a crisp martini and listen to the pianist that will take you away from your daily grind and have you in anticipation of the... This is an older hotel with tiny rooms which unfortunately show the wear and tear that goes with this vintage. We were ushered out of the bar area on Friday and Saturday evening at about 5:30 because of wedding parties. There were few places to gather as we were trying to reunite with extended family. However, the dining room was... More

Great old hotel with generous size rooms, many with fireplaces overlooking the ocean. We had a beautiful fall weekend to enjoy the boardwalk or just sitting on the large wrap around porch in comfortable chairs. Charming place.

Spring Lake is like going back 75 years. The beautiful old houses. the well cared for beach and boardwalk. The Breakers looks like an old mansion. The rooms are comfortable and the service is friendly. It is right across from the beach and also offers a pool. The restaurant is one the best in town. This was our second visit... More

Having made a reservation for 10, We joined relatives for a nice lunch at the Breakers. There was a large wedding there as well. We were promptly seated in the restaurant. We waited for about 10 minutes before anyone came to take drink orders. Then we waited another 15 - 20 minutes before our orders were taken. We then waited... More

I stayed for 5 nights at the Breakers towards the end of last month. I had a wonderful time. Front desk was helpful. Food in restaurant was good. Most of the time the service in the restaurant was also good. The exception was one server who appeared new and did not have much get up and go. Food was not... More

We have stayed at the Breakers approximately 10-14 times over the past 7 years. Recently I have been unhappy with their policies. Their website states: High Season Memorial Day Weekend (May) June Weekends Last weekend of June through Labor Day (September) September Weekends This year I called to book 3 week days during June and had to pay the High... This hotel is situated on the beachfront and we had a great room facing the shore. The staff were very helpful. The place was very busy with a number of weddings and this impacted the ability to use some of the public areas e.g. the cocktail bar. I thought this was a negative given that the bar is featured in... More

We had a wonderful week at the Breakers. Our room had an ocean front view and was comfortable and clean. Hotel staff was excellent, pleasant and helpful. Weather was great and boardwalk and beach are across the street. The veranda is very nice and we enjoyed complimentary coffee there one day. Towel service for beach has clean but small towels....
