For my wife and , we were unsure about booking a trip due to COVID, but we came across this establishment where all of our needs were met and more! From the very first phone call, the staff especially the owners were polite, and very helpful! The location is perfect, as it's only a block and half away from the beach! Another HUGE bonus with staying here are the seasonal beach badges which are included during you are staying at the motel. From check-in to checkout we felt very comfortable with our accommodations and would highly recommend this place to others. Looking forward to our next stay!

What a cute & updated hotel this is. Joe and his wife have got to be the most accommodating owners I have ever met. I won't give them 5 stars, I will give them 100 stars. Best value for a motel on the island

We have stayed here twice and hope to go back again this summer. The Islander is very clean, the owner is quite nice and helpful, and there is a microwave and a small refrigerator in the room as well as a t-v. The bathroom is a good size and has both a shower and a tub. There is free parking outside of this motel, and you are given beach badges for your stay. We stay on the first floor, and there is a little table and chairs outside the room if you want to sit outside. It's not fancy, but is fairly priced and suits our needs perfectly. Highly recommend.

Stayed here this weekend with my family....beautiful room! Very spacious, comfy beds, nice kitchen in the rooms too. Owner Joe was very accommodating and sweet. Everything was very clean! Only a block away from the beach (they even give badges and allow you to use their beach chairs/ umbrellas). Will definitely be coming back ASAP.

I had a wonderful stay here! The rooms are very clean, and I stayed in a nicely furnished efficiency with a cute little kitchen nook. The owner, Joe, was incredibly kind, friendly, helpful, and hospitable. The location is also fantastic--a short walk to the beach, and within easy walking distance of lots of restaurants and shops. Would absolutely recommend!

We stayed one night for a short trip on 6/26/20. What a great little motel! Make a right on Central as soon as you come onto island, down just a few blocks. What a pleasant surprise, wasn't sure what to expect. Greeted by Joe, the owner, one of the nicest guys you'll meet. We stayed in 1A on ground floor. The room was the cleanest room I have ever stayed in, and I have stayed at 5 star hotels!
It it not the newest motel, but that adds to the shore charm in my opinion. I'll take clean over new anytime.

Two Double beds, mini-fridge, microwave, Flat screen TV, free off-street parking.
1 and 1/2 blocks from beach. And we got free beach badges! Not on the main drag, so don't hear all the traffic. Just a few short blocks from Wawa, restaurants. Donut shop right around the corner. No water views, but rocking chairs in front of your room, to sit out at night.

Second floor patio with umbrellas. With all the Covid procedures in place, great place to eat your take-out if you don't choose to eat it in your room.

We will definitely return!!

Just returned from a four day stay with my daughter and a few of her friends for a belated birthday getaway. We all had a wonderful time. We stayed in adjoining rooms, one of them being an efficiency. It was perfect for our group. The rooms were clean, cozy and comfortable. The efficiency room had everything we needed and more. The motel was so convenient to the beach, stores, miniature golf and various restaurants. A great addition is being provided with beach badges during our stay. The owner, Joe, was kind and attentive. His recommendation for a local restaurant was spot on. We ordered dinner and enjoyed it on the outdoor deck. This is one of the nicest places to stay at on LBI. The owners make you feel right at home and are very attentive. I would highly recommend staying here. You won't be disappointed. A+++

Had a great visit at the Islander. It’s conveniently located near the entrance to the island, and there’s an incredible donut spot (Shore Good Donuts) on your way to the beach, which is just two blocks away. Joe was helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and reasonably-priced. We were able to use their beach tags and beach chairs. I would stay here again.

Even post hurricane and a power outage, we had a great time! Owners are so attentive and create a great family feeling establishment. Love that they have preserved this vintage style hotel. We stayed in connecting rooms 5A and 6A. Kitchenette, dishes, kitchen table were all very handy. Rooms were clean and very tastefully updated. We also loved gathering on the second floor patio in the evening. Convenient to everything and a taste of the island that is being lost to over-development. Relaxing! Can't wait to visit again!

We've been stating here for years. Joe Clark, the owner is the best. He will go the extra mile to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The rooms are immaculate, and well-appointed. His upstairs deck is one one of our favorite spots. There is a gas grill on-premises that we use all the time. The Islander Motel is also very convenient. I'd recommend it to anyone.
