This hotel is ranked as a 2 star. But it is nicer than a lot of 3 or 3 1/2 star hotels that I have stayed in over the past year!

It depends how you wish to travel. I travelled by car and by train. If you wish to take train, you have to take cab till Secaucus junction from there NJ transit to Pen Station. From Pen station you can then take subway to any destination within Manhattan. If you intend to travel by car, up to 10 AM there is a traffic for both Lincoln tunnel and Holland Tunnel. Its neutral after 11 AM, so that would be good time to go by car. Just so you know, they also have bus stop just across the street near Extended Stay, Secaucus and many local residents take bus everyday to Manhattan. You can take bus as well and get off at 42 port authority bus terminal. From there, again its very easy to go anywhere by Subway. Hope this helps. Have a great trip :)
