Enjoy your stay in Point Pleasant Beach!
I visited this weekend for a surprise party for an old friend. A group of nine of us rented four rooms. Each room was different, updated and modern. I believe the bathrooms will be the last thing to get done, but I like vintage so they didn’t bother me. It’s perfect for an overnight or two night stay for a weekend off-season. Close to the beach and town. A great bar restaurant across the street, The Ark, had great service, Michele was a great bartender and delicious burgers. I accidentally locked my keys in the trunk of my car, Marie and Gina went above and beyond to help me. I am in the service industry, and a tough critic. Marie and Gina made my visit a story that I will continue to tell and why I recommend Point Pleasant Manor. It’s not fancy, it’s a great motel “down the shore”. My bed was really comfortable and the pillows were perfect. The room and bathroom were clean. Bring your own lotions and potions, only shampoo and soap provided, but that worked for me. Hairdryer and iron by request at the front desk. Basic coffee and doughnut set up in the lobby, nothing fancy but got the job done. We had a perfect Jersey diner breakfast on Sunday and it finished off a great trip! I will be back. Thank you ladies, you made it a memorable stay.…
Super clean and updated room. As a solo traveler i felt very safe and secure here. Beautiful pool onsite and plenty of parking. Only downside is shower stall is on small side and not sure my 6’6 husband would have fit in there. I wouldn’t hesitate to book here again in the future
After our vacation had been booked for about a month, we had a family emergency and could no longer keep our reservation. Though we had to cancel our trip with less than 24 hours notice, we were graciously offered a credit when we explained our situation. We were able to reschedule for 2 weeks later and were greeted by friendly staff at our arrival. We got to our room to find it spotless and smelling fresh. I was happily surprised to have tub in our room as opposed to a stall shower, as we were traveling with an infant, therefore making it easy to bathe her after the beach. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone with children!
Overall, This is a nice place to stay; good location to points of interest in town, access to the beach, nice pub 2 blocks down (The Ark). A few negatives: My friend who booked was told that beds were queen size, but they were full. Online it says breakfast included and we were informed not the case when we arrived. The following day I showed the staff where it says that, and was told.. “Oh, we didn’t know that was still listed”... It’s been 3 days since I’ve returned home, and it’s still listed on this site! It should have been taken off by this time. Otherwise, the pool was nice and there was complimentary hot tea in the lobby, but no coffee.
Lovely updated rooms with comfortable beds and plenty of room for our belongings. The room are very clean and quiet. The pool is lovely. The staff friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our stay, will definitely return.
So I decided to take my son, niece and nephew down the shore. We had a standard hotel room . The beds were not the greatest but location and pool were key. Very clean friendly staff. Close to beach. Only drawbacks were bathroom was small and the beds were uncomfortable.
I just enjoyed a long weekend (Fri - Sun) with 8 family members (ages 17 - 77) at the Point Pleasant Manor. When I made my reservation on the phone, the woman was very friendly and accommodating. She encouraged us to arrive early Friday and enjoy the pool (or beach) even before we could officially check in and also stay and use the pool on Sunday, even after check out. I didn't have high expectations since it's a motel, but I was pleasantly surprised. Rooms were clean and nicely furnished. The pool area was nice and even had an on-site grill/snack bar. It is 1.5 blocks from the beach and is on the edge of Bay Head, so not near the craziness of the Boardwalk. We walked to the Ark Pub for a great dinner. If I go back to Point Pleasant I would stay here again.
The room was just ok. The bathroom ceiling leaked. The mattress was very thin and the sheets scratchy. I complained about the leak but nothing was done. It was close to the beach, so it has that going for it.
We stayed here for the Labor Day weekend. It was just ok. It’s a very old hotel/motel type business. They’ve tried to renovate but I think it falls short of calling it a renovated room. It was very expensive for what we got which wasn’t much but it was Labor Day. The rooms are small with a small mini fridge. The renovation included new floors and maybe new furniture. The linens are old, curtains have holes and the mattress wasn’t new or great. Bathroom is old, only thing “new” was the vanity. The pool was clean and great. Really clean pool deck which was nice. Carlos, who we think was the overall handyman, was great. Everyone else was nice too. There is an area to buy food at the pool but no restaurant.
This is a run down motel! I called to inquire about the COVID-19 measures for cleaning and was told that they were cleaning the rooms well. My room wasn’t cleaned. Disgusting dirty stains on everything. Broken sofa bed. Sticky dirty fingerprints on bathroom door and the front door. The room wasn’t stocked with anything except a few towels. Flys were in the room and we spent the first hour trying to kill them. The floors were dirty and our socks turned brown immediately. I talked to the front desk and the man was nice. He informed me that they don’t have any staff due to the corona virus and he apologized for my room not being cleaned. He deducted $50 dollars off of my $ 369. I thought it should have been at least $100 since I had nowhere to sleep because the sofa bed was broken and the condition of the room was a health concern. I obviously spent only one night . I went home and cleaned up and fell asleep finally! Oh and the view in the pool is a view of an apartment complex!!…
