I stayed at this motel with my family of four during the summer. I did not like the place and will not stay again because the rooms were not clean. The motel staff was rude and obnoxious and my family and I were kept awake at all hours of the night because there is a bar parking lot adjacent to the motel. Never again will we stay there. I have told all my friends and family that this place was not worth the high price I paid to stay there during the summer.

If you're looking for a clean place to stay at Point Pleasant beach- this is definitely the place! The staff was so friendly and accommodating. We were able to park the car there even though our room wasn't ready yeto. The beach is super close and theres a bunch of great places to eat near by. Our room was so nice and it was such a relief to know we would be going to sleep somewhere clean. The pictures on the website definitely show exactly what the rooms look like!

My family and I were there about 30 minutes when I asked this gentleman if he knew where the bike rack was. He showed me then introduced himself as Rich the owner. We talked for about 15 minutes. Every day we would chat and not Only with him but with all the staff. My wife has health issues and doesn't leave the room as much as she would like too. When housekeeping would come to clean the room the ladies would raise my wife's spirits and ended with a hug. The room was one of the cleanest. The pool and yard was maintained perfect. When leaving I was carrying 2 suitcases an older lady that worked there ask me if she could take one of the suitcases and carry it for me. I believe it was Rich's mother. We had no problems with the rules. Meet a lot of nice people at the pool and all our children played together. All of this is why I felt I was at a friend's home.

We have been staying in Point Pleasant for years and had never heard about Surfside. Thanks to TripAdvisor we discovered this motel. We'll never stay anywhere else in the area. Simply decorated, immaculate rooms are very comfortable. The pool area is great. The location is perfect for walking to restaurants, boats and the beach. We even walked to PP boro. The owners know what they are doing and we hope they keep
it up for years to come!!!

This was a terrific motel at the Jersey Shore. Everything was clean and new. The beds were very comfortable. The heated pool was great. The motel was in walking distance to the boardwalk and beach. We really appreciated the free parking and beach badges - even on the day we checked out! These extras make a big difference.

We have been coming here for about 10 years now. Summer, Fall, Winter. Clean and well kept. They have A LOT of rules, which is fine however we have noticed in the past year that we are treated like they are doing us a favor by allowing us to rent a room for a few nights. It's gotten to the point that as a repeat customer we might look elsewhere. We are in our mid 40's, grown children who aren't with us, nothing to blink an eye at. The 20 million questions that you need to answer for them is getting old. They also have a card system (you fill out an index card, and short of naming them in your final Will they know EVERYTHING about you). Well, after probably staying here at least 20x they still manage to never be able to find our card. Perhaps they would like to invest in 2 iPads and have their guest fill an online form out at check in and they can save the file. Because the surveillance system they recently put in must have cost a pretty penny and its not conveying that the owners are being safety aware for their customers its giving out the Big Brother vibe…..always watching. It's a nice property, convenient to the boardwalk (far end), and you really don't need to drive your car, you can walk every where. Just keep in mind you should practice "whispering" before you arrive, because after 10 you will get in trouble for unruly behavior.

The owners obviously take great pride in the motel. Not only were the rooms very clean, but all the common areas were in great shape. We were staying with family in a few separate rooms so we would gather in the common areas. There is a second floor patio area that was great to read and get sun. It had about 10-12 very comfortable lounging chairs. The pool is small but very well maintained. It has a single row of lounge chairs around the perimeter. Outside the pool fence, they had 3 clean picnic tables with umbrellas that were great for gathering our family to play cards, chitchat or eat pizza.
It is 3-4 blocks to walk to the beach. There are restaurants within walking distance in all directions from the motel. We came in by train from New York and the station is about one mile away (not easy walking distance).
The bed was firm but obviously new and comfortable. 5-6 pillows were provided for our one king bed. There is not a closet but a hanging rack that was good enough. Our air conditioner worked well. The walls are very thin and we could hear people in neighboring rooms. However the air conditioner had a fan that could be turned on and provided effective white noise. We slept great.
I want to give special thanks to the owner who helped us solve a little problem one evening. We purchased tickets online for Six Flags for the following day. The tickets had to be printed out. They offered the use of the office printer but our laptops were incompatible with their printer. The owner graciously allowed us to email the tickets to him and he printed them for us. Mind you, this was in the evening after the office was officially closed. A big thanks for going above and beyond to help us out.
I would definitely return to this hotel for a future stay.

My Mom and Dad(deceased) used to go there for years. My Father liked the area and was a longtime resident of the shore. He knew the people and area since he was a child. When he passed my Mom and I went there to carry on his tradition. I was diagnosed with Crohns disease before coming and couldn't continue my stay and wanted to cut our visit short, we were told sorry-but no refunds. It was not on a holiday week, it was during the week and the owners seemed to not be compassionate enough to refund our money .I managed to stay as we would have lost $200.00 but vowed never to return. It just seems like money and being greedy seem to go hand in hand with some people.

The Jersey Shore has a million Motels like this one sprinkled up and down our gorgeous coast. Some are good, some...you wouldn't put a stray dog into. THIS place was an incredible find!! First...I gaurantee that you will not find a cleaner place to stay...in any price range. We have been very fortunate to stay on some incredible properties over the years...but this place is clean, clean, clean. It is simple BUT so well maintained. There is a very nice pool (heated) that is cleaned everyday...sparkling. Deck chairs wiped down...daily. Neat as a pin. They hand you fliers upon check in with do's and don'ts...I liked that. It was sort of...I don't know..military! But it gave you a clear idea of what is expected. Everyone is so friendly and helpful...my 13 year old forgot his Iphone charger and they went out of their way to find one he could borrow to charge it.
We parked the car there (free) and walked for two days. Check out Jack Baker's Patio Bar (behind the hotel)...which my kids LOVE. They get to dance to live bands and feel grown up. Its a 5 minute walk to the north end boardwalk. The ONLY complaint I have about this place is there are no in-room coffee pots and there is no where close by to get coffee in the morning. Other than that...this family-oriented Jersey Motel is JUST RIGHT.
