If you like a clean motel, are hardly on property, and don’t mind owners and housekeeping in your room all the time, then this is your spot. There is mandatory housekeeping everyday. What? I felt so uncomfortable that someone had to go in my room. I always use Marriotts when traveling and thought quite odd that there was mandatory room visits. We were there only two nights and the after the first night housekeeping workers and owners sister in my room 3 times! I am in my 60s and felt like a college student having room checks.
In addition, fairly early in evening about 9:15 pm, sitting outside room with spouse watching football game, we were told too loud. All guests outside were told this as owner walked over to 70 year olds down the walkway to tell them they were too loud. We saw hardly any kids and after reading other reviews after we had already checked in realized the problem.
This is strange Motel and yes clean but never will go back.

spent many years at point pleasant, for 17 years stayed at mariners cove. haven't been to point pleasant for 12 years, so wanting to start our annual family vacation again we stayed at surfside. booked in april of this year, for our mid august trip. a few days before our trip i read a very negative recent review and was very worried. well, the rooms were spotless, the grounds immaculate!! the staff extremely friendly!!!!! the owner would wave hello every time he saw me, was very polite. location was perfect,( quiet area of the beach near the inlet) 3 blocks from the beach. very nice pool. looking forward to next year !!!!

This is the best Motel I have ever stayed in. Seriously, the cleanest, most well kept motel ever! The pool area is beautiful and the grounds, rooms, etc are meticulously cared for. Short walk to the beach - closer walk to restaurant - especially the Wharfside which is directly behind the motel. We enjoyed the very short walk to dinner or a drink by the water. The staff is always friendly as well. I cant say enough nice things about this place!

Staff at the hotel are so friendly. Check in was a breeze. The property is immaculately kept. My husband and I had a fabulous time. We were celebrating his birthday. The room is beyond clean and comfortable. We had the king whirlpool room. Relaxing in the tub was so romantic with the provided bubble bath. We walked to breakfast at this cute cafe 5 mins down the road and came back for a dip in the pool before we checked out. Excellent trip!

This motel continues to impress. I have stayed with family for several years now and each year the experience is fantastic, the rooms are perfect, and the staff are so friendly and helpful. No other option for a place to stay suits our needs as perfectly as this - family oriented, close to beach, and close to boardwalk. Today I had another exceptional customer service experience with the staff and I so appreciate their help. Thank you for providing a fun, family oriented, safe place to enjoy the beach in NJ. We really can't wait until we are able to go again.

This is our 2nd year at this wonderful place. We were a little concerned about going because of all that is going on. There was NO need to worry. This place is spotless!.I cannot say one bad thing about it. We have looked at other places while down, 3rd year we looked. Nothing compares to this place. First year, awful place, someone told us about Surfside, and we have found a home away from home. The pool is lovely, and heated!, nice lounges and seating with umbrellas. We have met some lovely people there also. It is a nice family environment, or just singles relaxing!. Not in the least loud, raucous or party place. If your looking for a clean and neat family motel with an attentive staff, then this is the place. We have stayed there for many years and have had only wonderful experiences. Pre-Covid, this place was the cleanest at the Jersey Shore. Now....its "over the top" clean. Great pool within walking distance to the beach with Free beach badges every day of our stay. Lots to do in the area with great restaurants and shopping.

You can't find a cleaner place. The landscaping is award winning not a blade of grass out of place. The owners go out of their way to make your stay incredible. Would not stay anywhere else. Just would of loved for the pool to be heated and a microwave and coffee pot for the room.

My daughter (12) stayed at the Surfside Motel in August 2022 and had such a wonderful time. The accommodations were extremely clean and comfortable. Will most definitely be back next summer! Thank you Surfside for such an enjoyable visit.

Superb place to stay. Immaculatly clean, lovely, comfortable, safe, perfect spot to bring your family. My children and grandchildren stayed for a week and loved it. The family that owns this place are excellent people and I am booking now to go back.
