This hotel has apparently been recently renovated and has very sleek, very modern décor. If this is what is most important to you, stop reading now because this hotel is visually very upscale and current. But for those who want to know about their customer service…. Made a reservation online but then called the hotel directly to request a handicap accessible room. I was told no problem and received a revised confirmation with this room type noted. When I checked in, I asked if we could use our key card to enter the door to the hotel that was the shortest distance from the handicap parking and, once inside, to the hotel’s elevators, specifically mentioning the handicap accessibility advantage. Was informed that there was no entry through this door. We would have to use the main entrance, a significantly longer walk from parking and to the elevators for someone with mobility difficulties. We were allowed, after I asked, to stay parked by the main entrance so that my partner would not need to do the longer walk to that point from the parking area. When we entered the elevator, we found a big sign for various hotel facilities on the 1st through higher floors, but the elevator doesn’t have a 1st floor button, only a ground floor button and then 2nd, etc.. Not a big problem for us, but for others, especially foreign visitors who are used to having BOTH a ground and 1st floor in a building, it certainly may be confusing. The communication lapses continued as we exited the elevator. We immediately saw signage with directions to SOME of the rooms on the 3rd floor, but not including room 333. Eventually, we located the room, but the process would have been so much faster and easier had there been signs for this block of rooms similar to the one for the others. Of course, when we finally walked into room 333 ....it was not handicap accessible. Yes, I could have gone back to the front desk to get the correct room and gathered our things and had my partner walk to where ever the new room was located, but at that point, I decided not to since we were only there one night. So my partner wanted to use the swimming pool and headed there after I left to walk around Princeton. He was stopped by the pool entrance and told he needed a reservation and had to go back to the front desk to get one. There was no signage at the pool entrance nor at the front desk regarding this requirement (there was a sign about the fitness center, but not the pool), and no mention of this requirement was made when I specifically asked for confirmation of the pool hours for that day when checking in. The hotel employee could have offered to call or go to the front desk to do this for my partner but that didn’t happen. My partner was tired and gave up and just went back to the room.

The hotel was clean, spacious and well appointed. Covid restrictions are in place. Avery gave me a warm welcome; he was personable, professional, & helpful I honestly can't imagine why the negative reviews - it's Covid. Things are closed. Things are restricted. If you have a question or concern, call the hotel. I did. The front desk staff is not there to be your punching bag. The pool is open, with restrictions. You have to sign up. If you're not there, you can't reserve a time. There's no F&B on premises, but there are very nearby options plus delivery. End of story. If you call the hotel, they will tell you all of this. I got a nice room at a nice price and the parking fee was waived. What are your expectations? Manage them by doing research. If you want something they're not offering, stay somewhere else. I would happily stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel last night with my sister and everything about my stay was unpleasant. I was really looking forward to this trip, my first since December 2019. I’ve been extremely careful throughout the pandemic but I selected this hotel because of the safety protocols they said they enforced. Despite signs in the lobby and throughout the hotel stating that masks would be required in all public places in the hotel, the staff did not enforce this policy. There was one large group gathering completely maskless in the lobby. When I commented to the front desk, I was told that they were just posing for photos. This happened throughout our stay and every time I said something to staff, I was told we can’t enforce the policy and the sales team doesn’t want me bothering them. This is absolutely unacceptable and so very disturbing. All of this on top of the quality of the room. Threadbare sheets with holes, stains on the comforter, shower that lacked any water pressure, and a leaking toilet. Marriott, this hotel is so far below your standards. Your executive team needs to do an on-site visit and remediate these problems. You are in violation of CDC guidelines and my next stop will be to contact them. This was a long awaited vacation, but it was such a disappointment when I was constantly on guard due to people who refused to wear masks.

I love The Westin at Forrestal Village in Princeton, NJ. This has become my go to spot whenever I stay in the Princeton Area. The lobby is relaxing, and the rooms are clean and spacious. It's always quiet and the staff is kind and hospitable...especially Tia at the front desk. On average I am here 3-4 times a month and have yet to be disappointed!

I messed up on the dates booked and showed up a day late. Chris, at the front desk, still made it work and found a room for us. He was so sweet and helpful when someone could have been a jerk. The room we got was clean and beautiful. We asked Chris for an extra blanket later in the night and it wasn’t an issue. He also helped us with finishing ice. All of this may seem minimal but it helped to make our stay even better.
