Wow! Just enjoyed a wonderful (but quick!) 2 day get-away at the Bath Avenue House. The hosts & staff are so friendly and accommodating that you can't help feeling right at home. The house is beautiful & the breakfast is fresh and delicious. Don't forget to enjoy the outdoor showers. Will definitely return!

Weekend retreat at the Bath Avenue house. We were a group of 15 women (we rented the entire house) Each room is unique with a sink and air conditioner in every room. Jim is an incredible host serving delicious breakfasts and, for our weekend , dinners. 1 block to the ocean. The town is so quaint and the people so... More

Our family stayed here for two nights to be close to the beach. It was one of the more affordable guest houses I could find online that was within walking distance from the beach. Parking was tough. We weren't allowed to keep our cooler in the room. The outside shower door wouldn't stay closed so I had to hold it... More

Completely wonderful place. It's a throwback to the late 19th century: small room with no t.v. or telephone, flowered carpeting and bedspreads, lace curtains, parlor w. a piano. But there is effective air-conditioning. Nice front- and second-story porches. Simple, few amenities, very conducive to a peaceful stay at the seashore. Host Jim is energetic, helpful, good-humored. Perfect location near the... More

A friend and I recently spent a lovely weekend at Bath Avenue Guest House in beautiful Ocean Grove, NJ. Jim was a wonderful host - allowing us to check in early on Friday, so that we could enjoy the whole afternoon at the beach. And, Ocean Grove really does have a fantastic beach! You can rent boogie boards and beach... More

Visited Ocean Grove for the first time and will definitely come back to stay at the Bath Ave House. Everyone is so accommodating and friendly. Jim is such a great host. You could meet someone new every night on the porch and make new friendships. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the breakfast is awesome! Highly recommend!

Stayed in room 7, just down the hall from shower & toilet. Breakfasts are wonderful! Jim an excellent host. Sitting on the porch very relaxing. We stayed on a busy weekend and parking can be a bit challenging. Room very clean and ceiling fan an asset. Breakfast room can be hot if air conditioning is not on in the morning.... More

I've been going to Bath Avenue House since 2009, and it's always like staying with family. Jim A. is so vibrant and loves running his home as a summertime B&B. My friends and many guests are regulars and I've met some quirky-captivating people at breakfast and sitting on the porch. He has a very loyal following of guests, some of... More

I recently stayed at the Bath Avenue House for 3 nights. Jim and Dan are the perfect hosts. The linens are clean as are the rooms and toilet/bath facilities. Jim whips up magnificent food and is the most gracious and accomodating host. The beach is a short 2 blocks away and you are in walking distance to restauants and shops.... More

I've been coming to the Bath Avenue House for years and always enjoy my stay. Jim has the perfect personality to run a B&B: friendly without being intrusive. Most people who come have been there before and I've met some fascinating people there. Sitting on the porch after dinner and talking to people is a great pleasure of staying there.... More
