From the minute we walked in, to getting advice on great local eats for dinner. it was awesome to just walk out and about from there...our room was just the right size and so comfortable and cozy...breakfast was absolutely magnificent and the conversation was awesome as we relaxed with other guests and John and Marj shared so much of the history of O.C. and the Inn itself....definitely will return and stay longer!!
My mom and I visited for 4 days and 3 nights and absolutely loved it! Marj and John were very welcoming and accommodating. We were able to check in early and have use of the house after check out which was really great! Extremely clean, comfortable and friendly. Easy access to the beach and boardwalk, the center of town and located in a nice quiet area. Also, definitely check out the Farmers Market on Wednesdays as it is very extensive with lots of variety.
A quick trip to the shore to attend a concert and found this lovely inn. Room was comfy, cool (on a hot July day) and very clean. We stay at B&Bs frequently and this one is a top place in our experiences. Breakfast on Monday morning was extended continental with great homemade muffins and lots of different fresh fruits. There are beach tags if you are so inclined. Parking can be limited, but we did not have problem. On our way home we talked about how relaxed we were from our mini-vacation and our wonderful stay at Northwood Inn was part of that. Looking forward to returning in the near future.
Marj and John are sweet hosts and very welcoming. We enjoyed using the bikes to take morning rides on the boardwalk. The beach at the end of the street was beautiful. Our suite was very clean and comfortable. We've enjoyed many great stays here over the years.
I’m not sure how my wife does it, but once again we have ended up at a great place to stay. Ocean City is a beautiful place, but be prepared, it’s a dry city👍 Our bed and breakfast accommodation was fantastic. Our hosts( Marj and John) went out of their way to make us welcome, even going so far as accepting us for a one night stay at a weekend, wonderful. Our room was lovely, with a fantastic corner bath and a separate shower, the room was called Magnolia. A large comfy bed with soft linen, lots of storage and plenty of towels, beautiful. This building is a wonderful historic building and is very close to “downtown “ and also the beach and it’s fabulous boardwalk. We were also offered bikes to ride but preferred to walk, the weather was lovely. John looks after the ocean rescue house, complete with a beautifully restored wooden rescue boat, man powered I hasten to add, and he also is curator for the small museum there, fascinating, and John is a mine of information 👍 In the afternoon Marj had made some homemade cookies and kindly gave us some, very very tasty and a great gesture All too soon it was breakfast time and Marj had laid on a wonderful spread, many many cereals to choose from, fresh orange juice, fresh coffee, decaff if you want it, three, yes three different types of melon, blueberries and then a piece of culinary magic, French Toast and sausage, fabulous. At all times we were watched over by their lovely friendly dog, he never begged at the table or bothered anybody, but, you knew he was there and if you were foolish enough to drop anything, he operated on the “two second” rule, if you couldn’t claim it back within two seconds, it was his😊…
