I booked this hotel on a whim for a recent trip to NYC. I booked because the price was affordable and there was transit into the city so we wouldn't have to worry about traffic and parking! Check in was easy and the gentleman was...More

Rooms were somewhat dated, but no complaints. Good value, especially with a shuttle that picks you up at the front door and drops you off at the Port Authority in NYC (only costs $3). On the return trip, the shuttle drops you off two blocks...More
Good for one, probably two nights. Clean but outdated. No streets noise inside the room. Not far from Park and ride place. Used this place for one nights. Very cheap. The next time will choose Holiday Inn.
Hard to beat for the price since you are still close to NYC, there is a shuttle, rooms are fine, there are two breakfast locations, everything you need. The one way street right off the hotel and the multiple intersections threw us for a loop,...More

You don't buy tickets to ride the shuttle. You have to stand in front of the hotel and the shuttles will pull in the parking lot. Yes, they take cash only. The shuttle is $3.00 per person. The driver does provide change if you have a large bill. The shuttle makes several stops picking up pedestrians along the way to the city. It takes about 30 minutes from the time the shuttle picks you up from the hotel to the city (your dropped off at the Port Authority). The shuttle runs until 12 midnight. Here's the information that I wrote in my review from when I stayed at the hotel:
There's a shuttle (not provided by the hotel) that comes by the hotel every ten minutes. The shuttle takes you to Manhattan and drops you off at 8th avenue by the Port Authority. In order to catch the shuttle back to North Bergen, you need to get the shuttles that are across the street from the Heartland Brewery restaurant that's at the Port Authority (DO NOT GET ON A BUS). If you get on a bus that takes you to North Bergen, it will not take you anywhere close to the hotel. We were told to get on a bus and it took us to it last stop and we were about eight miles from the hotel and the cab ride was $22.00 to get us to the hotel.
The shuttle DOES NOT drop you off in front of the hotel when returning to North Bergen from Manhattan. You need to get off at the Exxon gas station on 31st, then walk across the highway and down the hill to the hotel. If you have issues with walking long distances, then I wouldn't suggest taking this form of transportation. The shuttle drops you off about 4/10 of a mile from the hotel.

The most reliable bus is the 108 line which leaves from 30th st and JFK BLVD about 2 blocks from the hotel ( past the Sonic restaurant and the Aldi supermarket). At that time in the evening it only runs every hour. The last bus is about 1AM. In my opinion, it is not guaranteed to be safe to walk to the hotel that late although the area is well lit and busy with traffic and pedestrians. I would spend the extra money and take a taxi but that is just my opinion.
Can't tell anything about Uber, sorry.

The Hotel offers a shuttle bus service (3$) to Manhattan. Or you could use public bus service, bus stop is only one block down the road. To get back you need to board the bus at the central bus station. Beware, you have to buy the tickets in advance, before boarding the bus. There are several lines available to bring you back to the hotel.
