I stayed for two night, while flying some day trips out of Newark. First on the phone I was told parking is free with a stay. Then when I arrived I was told it was $15.00 a night. Parking lot does not feel secure. Floppy metal fence. You dive in what looks like a parking area for buses and trucks - very industrial. No place to venture out for a walk or a bite - area is depressing and ugly. Room smelled like cigarette smoke, lobby and halls smell like incense - very strong and sickening. Bed hard as a rock, maid always turned air conditioner off and it was 95 outside. It took forever to cool down. The remote for TV did not work. Shuttle is a joke (Newark’s fault), you are dropped off in a remote parking area and both times I was required to change stations. Trans are inconsistent and slow. I arrive back at EWR at midnight (no luggage) and didn’t get back to my room until 1:30am, not accept for an airport hotel to be so inconvenient. I can’t say a lot good here - won’t stay here again!

Bed Bugs tap dancing on our beds during the day, which shows the hotel is full of them! When we spoke to management all they did was apologize and send us to another room. Where is customer service and compensation?? No one wants to take home bed bugs, especially when visiting from another country! Will never stay in this hotel again and the health department will be notified!

If you are looking for something inexpensive and close to the airport this might be it. It’s an older establishment in need of updates but okay for a night or two. Being near Thor airport, it seems to be surrounded by industrial atmosphere so there’s nothing close by to grab food so the vending machine will be your only option if it’s too late. We woke up on the morning of our last stay with water dripping from the bathroom ceiling and informed the desk on our departure. Luckily we still had towels in the floor from the night before or it might have been an ugly mess in the bathroom floor. Staff was friendly and helpful for our stay.

When I pulled back the bed covers I saw several bed bugs active during the day. I put one in a small plastic cup and took it down to the front desk. They showed me to another room with a king size bed that also had active bed bugs, blood spots on the sheet and someone else’s dark hair. The bathrooms were very dirty and the hotel smelled old and musty overall. I elected to ask for a refund and stay elsewhere. They dismissed me and said I’d need to return to my booking agent for a refund and made no other attempt to help me find a clean room. I rode the shuttle back to the airport. I was visiting my dad who is stationed overseas and just staying one weekday night in Newark while I waited for my flight back home. I’m only 19, and there were no other vacancies or hotels available that would allow a 19 year old to check in. I had to sleep outside of security in the airport while I waited for my flight the next day. I called Wyndham to see if they could help me find another room in a different hotel and skip the refund, but there were extremely difficult to get ahold of. I was given the run around, various holds, and finally customer care closed. No one would return my messages on any outlet after that time. My mom had more luck getting in touch with Anthony Melchiorri than she did Wyndham or the hotel GM to ask for help. I filed a complaint with the health department, so hopefully you don’t have the same terrible experience that I did.

Have no choice but to stay for just 1 night. Not enough energy to changed rooms or go to another hotel. It’s time to update or check every rooms if it needs to be fixed. I liked the 24 hrs shuttle service.
