The bed was the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in. Lobby is beautiful. The location was convenient to everything in downtown New Brunswick including Rutgers, RWJ hospital, and tons of great restaurants. The staff was lovely and took great care of us. Would definitely stay here again.
Upon our arrival Rose checked us in and took good care of us. Cecilia took even better care of us as we stayed there. She was very accommodating.and very personable. Thamk you Cecilia and Rose! There are many restaurants to choose from, but many were closed due to COVID. Also, it can be difficult to find parking and there are only are few choices. One being the sides of the streets, which are free on Sundays and the other option being the parking deck behind the hotel that is for a fee. Overall, great experience and stay at this hotel.
Stayed for 2 nights but never got room cleaned. No room service. Hotel is 2-3 stars, good location, ok room but hotel needs charm! It’s very quiet and lacks hospitality. Breakfast buffet is $16 pp offering basics …l Management needs to put more effort on service and hospitality !
Room 352. 1st day: no hot water, 2nd, 3rd and 4th days no AC or thermostat malfunction. Hope you put in place a wallpaper repair program. Wallpaper seams are curling out through the hallways as well as in the room. Thank you, HAP.
The corner king room is fabulous. Extremely spacious and very quiet. The room was clean and the lounge chairs are a really nice touch. Lots of windows for lots of natural sunlight. Very comfortable bed. There was a wedding being held the night we stayed and the hotel still managed to stay relatively quiet. The location is excellent and very walkable to theaters, bars and restaurants. You’re in the heart of rutgers. If you stay in the summer before the semester starts, it’s fun without the college crowd.
Spotless, quiet, felt like I was staying somewhere far away and luxurious for the night. They even let me check in early with my last minute notice. This hotel is amazing if you’re having second thoughts about booking here, DONT. just do it you won’t regret it! :)
Very happy that I stayed at this hotel! Bed is very comfortable, rooms are clean.Nice view at street with restaurants and bars.Staff is amazing, nice and polite.Front desk manager Amr Maged was VERY helpful and very responsive. If you have any questions he will help you for sure.
Unwelcoming front desk person. Very Apparent old infrastructure just as you enter the lobby. In the rom - leaking shower in the bathroom, broken drain on the tub, vanity wooden edges had significant signs of wear, all 4 drawers in the room were broken (came off its rails/screws had fallen off / couldn't be shut), both closet doors were broken / won't remain shut, the nails on the closet door frame were coming off, AC unit cover next to the mirror was broken (was off and couldn't be put back on without tools). The overall look and feel of the room were very old and unkept.
The hotel manager was extremely rude when discussing me with a refund on a wrong charge, and he even asked me to take down the previous 1-star review which was related to the wrong charge. I did as promised, and he said he would issue the refund. However, I waited for days and got nothing. I had to contact booking.com to let them contact the hotel in order to get the refund.
We reserved a room as a last minute decision due to a family emergency. The staff at The Heldrich went above and beyond with their understanding and compassion. The hotel was located in a great part of the city so we were able to walk to the RWJ Hospital as well as several great eateries. If we ever find ourselves in the New Brunswick area again, we’ll be sure to stay at this hotel! The room was clean and comfortable, staff friendly and professional, and location was perfect!
