We have just returned from our second stay at the Villa Portillon and it's hard to imagine a better ski trip. There are three elements that make it work so well. The first is Mike and Annette themselves. They are great hosts. Annette is a first class cook and evening meals are a real treat. Mike loves detail and with...

We stayed 2 nights at Villa Portillon whilst cycling around Luchon. Tasty breakfast, immaculate rooms and a beautiful guest living room full of great cycling books. Good value for money and helpful hosts Mike and Annette.

Thank you for your very kind comments Katie. It was lovely to meet you both and we hope you had a lovely time in Barcelona before heading home. Hopefully our recommendation for the Oreo tapas bar lived up to expectations. Many regards. Mike

I stayed here with two friends on the final leg of our walking tour across the Pyrenees. Annette is the best hostess! The garden is quiet and relaxing, the meals were ample and delicious, the Wifi signal was strong, the beds were comfortable and the location can't be beat. What more could you want?.

This place is great. It is right in the middle of town tucked away on a pretty side street. The room was comfortable and quiet. I had been bouncing from hotel to hotel all week, and this was the first good nights sleep I had all week. The breakfast was pretty standard continental including fresh bread and fruit. Mike and...

Just had a beautiful stay in Luchon. Villa Portillon is a lovely homely bed and breakfast. A warm welcome from Annette and Mike who were very informative and friendly. Had a wonderful nights sleep in the attic room that has the most spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Only stayed for one night as we were going to the Balnea...

Our 5 th visit and still as amazing as our 1st . Annette and Mike are great hosts and offer recommendations for the best places to ski. The food was excellent every night but also varied, served with some really good wine.

Thank you Rachel for your kind comments. As always it is a great pleasure to see you all again and especially how a certain young ski demon has grown. Best wishes from the Pyrenees

This building is very comfortable and has suitable amenities, the bedding is very good quality although it is down filled, something to note if you suffer from any allergies. The food is of a good quality, being homemade and in perfect quantities. A couple of things made this not the holiday we were expecting. The host stands by the table...

Good evening Mark, We have just received notice of your review which has shocked us to the core. Understandably after the experience of your holiday which we would not have wished upon anyone with Jennie injuring her knee and your son becoming ill, we were both utterly flattened by your comments. We say this in all honesty as we were...

This was our second visit to Luchon but first time staying at the hotel. As soon as you enter the vestibule there is an enveloping and welcoming ambience. Annette Jones is a brilliant " hostess" where nothing is too much trouble. The bedroom in the " attic", as I named it , was beautiful. Triple aspect, warm, wonderfully appointed and...

Friendly hosts Annette and Mike provide great accommodation and amazing dinners when we eat in. After a day out in the Pyrenees it was the perfect place to return to, and the hosts have terrific knowledge for cycling (and skiing) routes. Will definitely be returning!

Excellent location and a lovely property to stay in. The rooms are a good size with comfortable beds and linen which is needed after long hours in the saddle. A very homely place with delightful hosts in Mike and Annette, the latter been an excellent cook / chef, the former very knowledgable about the area and sports associated with it....
