A charming host made the stay pleasant and straightforward. Useful also is the electric gated, spacious, parking area behind the hotel and gardens. Two star simplicity and choose a large room rather than a little cramped one squeezed with a bathroom. Some original features remain from the grand old house that once was but not enhanced as they might be.

Most of the clientelle of this hotel seemed to be here to take the waters in town and were very old. The décor and bland meals suited the overall atmosphere of visiting an old people’s home. The car park, however, was inconveniently located about 150 metres away through a security gate whose 5-figure code we had to memorise.

We had a girly spa weekend and booked here as the spa is right across the road. We parked on the street but think there is parking behind. The hotel has huge rooms with high ceilings. Obviously a very grand home in the past. There are some beautiful old features but they have tried to update it with flat screen... More

Stayed here for one night during a motorbike holiday around Spain. Very friendly reception from the owners. The room was nice and big with two balconies, clean but very very dated, especially the bathroom which really needs replacing. Breakfast was basic, the owners really need to make a little more effort here, especially need to provide glasses and no plastic... More

This was our last night in France after 2 weeks walking in the Pyrenees. We were looking for a hotel with a big room and good shower with plenty of hot water. The hotel fitted the bill perfectly as we had a large room overlooking the park. We had three small balconies which I will confess we used to dry... More

We stayed here for 2 nights following a 6 day hike in the Pyrenees. We enjoyed staying in a beautiful room with windows on two aspects and even a small balcony with wonderful view. The owner of the hotel is a charming man who couldn't be more helpful. Luchon has much to offer and this hotel is an ideal base.... More
