Very welcoming and comfortable. Warm fire and tea awaiting. The hosts are lovely and experienced. Breakfast is amazing, especially the porridge! Easy to find and central location on the island. If I'm ever on Islay again, there is no question where I'll be staying.

We spent 3 nights here on our first trip to Islay. I can't recommend Glenegedale House and Emma and Graeme more highly! The house is stunning -- the rooms were large and very well appointed. We had a lovely view of the sheep that graze on the front lawn. Emma was clearly born to be a hostess. She greeted us...

Pretty sure I don't know enough superlatives to describe our visit to Glenegedale House and its wonderful hosts, Emma and Graeme. Everything about the house is luxuriously beautiful, especially the well appointed rooms. Ours was even in my favorite colors, purple and green. Breakfast, from the sideboard groaning with poached and fresh fruit options, to the porridge (yes, you really...

Wow, what an amazing break at Glenegedale House! We stayed for 3 nights in the self catering house next to the main guest house, but had breakfast everyday in the main breakfast room. And what a breakfast! Home made freshly baked muffins, a huge selection of fresh fruit, porridge with a secret ingredient to kickstart your morning, and as if...

Have just spent 2 nights in this great B&B ( more like a 5 * hotel!), run by a lovely friendly family with the most attentive service. Spotlessly clean, warm and very cosy. Breakfast is the best I've come across in any B&B - truly exceptional selection, with lovely touches such as their daily baked muffins - with great different...

Glenegedale House was by far the best place we stayed during our recent trip to Scotland. The house is beautiful; rooms & bathrooms are comfortable, clean and really nicely furnished/decorated. There are lots of places in the house to curl up with a book when you're not out exploring Islay. Emma and Graeme go out of their way to make...

As a post bar exam trip, my friend and I decided to drive through out Scotland, visiting distilleries in Islay, Campbeltown, the Highlands, Speyside, and the Lowlands. On top of Islay being our favorite region to visit, the Glenegedale Guest House was the best bed and breakfast we stayed at by far. Prior to arriving on the island, Emma was...

Thomas It was lovely to have the two of you stay especially when you were celebrating an amazing life achievement. Hopefully when your friend is finished next year you can repeat the trip? It was really lovely to meet you both and share in your enthusiasm for Islay and his products...especially the whisky. It is so important when our guests...

Hermann and Dorothee from Germany received a very warm welcome at Glenegedale Guest House arriving relatively late in the evening. Emma told us everything we wanted to know about the island, interesting places to visit, the history of the island and funny things to laugh about. The atmosphere let you feel at home immediately. The highlight was the delicious breakfast...

Nice clean room we were lucky to get. Being right across the street from the airport was worrying in advance and a non issue and a bonus when we arrived. Drive across the street and you're there. We botched some of our plans and Emma got on the phone and smoothed it out in about 5 minutes. "Hello, Emma from...

Fantastic B&B. Nothing was too much trouble for Emma and Graeme who helped with bookings of restaurants and taxis, advised us on trips/places to visit and as for the breakfasts...marvellous😀. Perfect location whether you fly or drive to Islay.
