Stayed here for 5 nights, the staff were nice. Rooms were clean. A little noisy in the rooms for my liking, cold hear people talking in rooms on either side of us. The pool was crazy busy, so much so we did not even bother trying to use it. As someone else mentioned they allow locals to use the pool. (they pay to get in) Dead centipede in my microwave was a huge turn off, look inside before you use it! It was a quick drive down to NYC from here, location is right off the highway. Breakfast was ok, I have had better quality and variety.

Visited from NC for a week to see the big apple. We had 2 rooms. Was really happy with the breakfast and the staff. Enjoyed the restaurant for dining in the evening. The rooms were clean and beds were comfy. Would definitely go back

We had booked FOUR yes four room giving them good business this Memorial day weekend...was followed was a horror no person can imagine. Upon arrival at frontdesk there was a young guy overwhelmed with work assisting other people! This so called "manager" lady was trying to tip tap dilly dat on keyboard to show she was "occupied" on the computer. The so called "manager" that night was Christine Medina. Btw this was my fourth visit to this same hotel...she calls us for check-in after almost 5-10 mins trying to see if the young guy can get us checked in after a long day of travel. The lady then has a frown on her face once I say we have four rooms booked for the night! She starts showing off on their so called credit card system as if it is Rocket Science...when I told her I have a Choice Privileges Credit Card her frown deepens...she said you need to swipe it four times. I said its okay I know the drill. I told her I am a 100k+ reward member and been here many times before. She started getting belligerent and said I dont know what it means to swipe few times...wait for three beeps every time, hit the green button and then sign etc. That's when I asked her name and Christine the manager went ballistic, started throwing abuses and told me (the customer) who has booked FOUR rooms..."Do you want to cancel?" "Do you want to cancel?". I told her are you serious you want to cancel all our reservations after a long day? She keeps on repeating "Do you want to cancel?" Thats when she showed me proudly her name a Manager on the wall and said do you see who I am? I told her thank you I still prefer working with someone who is good to customers and does not treat people like cattle or dumb people. The young guy stepped in to help...but this Christine started a scene throwing her shoulders up and saying what are you saying "Do you want me to cancel?" Honestly I told her I would not prefer to work with her at this point...at which a very fine lady (the owner) stepped in from the backroom and told the younger guy to check us in. When the actual owner asked her she does an about face and said "Oh I just meant to cancel the transaction...not the reservation" (you can review the tape from that day if helps my point. Seriously this so called manger "Christine" has zero customer skills, is bone headed and does not understand what the hospitality industry is all about. I work in customer care and strongly agree she is a misfit for this hotel and the Choice Hotels brand all together!

This is my second stay, if that's any indication of my appreciation for the comfortable stay and great service I experience here. The rooms are clean and cozy, and have a fridge and microwave, which is great for late-night snacks. The breakfast buffet included was generous, varied and provided us with apples and oranges we could take along on our long day visits of New York City. Staff were polite and friendly, and appreciative of the return visit. For anyone wanting to visit the Big Apple, I can highly recommend this hotel as an excellent base - the parking in ample and safe, and buses leave from the corner out front all day long, for an easy 20-minute ride into town. You can't ask for any better than that. I will be returning next year!
