We stayed in this hotel after we visited the zoo in spring break. It is the best hotel we stayed in the whole week. The staff is very friendly, the pool and hot tub is nice, the room is big and quite. It is not like the Hilton hotels we stayed in the other nights where you can hear your neighbor’s every word on the phone. You have everything you need in walking distance or 5 minutes drive. We will definitely come back next time
We had a 200 guest wedding at a local venue. 80 folks came from out of town. The sales manager, Jake Maas, was amazing. He catered to our every need. (He even insisted on pushing my luggage cart with my wedding dress, turned on my AC in my room because he saw I was hot). Front desk clerk Messin helped me with all the hotel bags and always greeted us with 1000 watt smile. The restaurant (Feathered fox) helped fit in my group of 11 with some small kids in a pretty back room. The sushi was to die for. The hotel worked with us to get rooms for the after party and created a decadent brunch for 80 the Sunday after. My family and friends were raving. You feel like family at the Westminster. When we left, clerk Apollo insisted on helping me get everything in the car. The staff goes above and beyond. I had one complaint, and it's being addressed. In the suite there is plenty of closet space, but only 1 small drawer to store things. I learned the iconic Ivanka Trump designed the hotel. (Explains the beautiful details in the ceiling!) They are already thinking of ways to fix it! Also, the hotel is eco-friendly - so you have to request room service. This is my first time in a hotel since Covid - so I expect this is likely the norm!…
What a wonderful weekend!! We had a family reunion with over 25 rooms booked. Jake took care of every detail along with his exceptional staff. The rooms and event spaces were spotless. We look forward to doing this again next year. Thank you Westminster!
We choose this site due to the location to our Bat Mitzvah celebration and was pleasantly surprised after the weekend. The hotel was easy to work with for our room block and for the morning after brunch. The brunch menu options, food quality and service were perfect and allowed us to relax after a late night of celebration. Our guest with kids enjoyed the indoor pool before the celebration and Jake, my hotel contact took care of everything.
On the surface this hotel is fine for when you need to be in the area. I'm just a little picky and to me, when you're dropping over $1000. to stay in a "renovated suite" for two nights, you should expect certain things. Like bottled water. There was none when I arrived so made the trek all the way back to the front desk and was handed two bottles of room temperature Poland Spring. There's no sundry shop which I find weird for such a big hotel. You should also expect a decent coffee maker, not a ten dollar plastic piece of crap that not only has a dirty water reservoir but didn't work! If you're trying to be an upscale hotel, have a Keurig in the suites for goodness sakes. Now let's go to the room itself. Simply put, I don't think a renovated suite should have furniture that already looks banged up. They clearly went with cheap furniture and it is not holding up well. The bed/headboard/lighting area however, was attractive and comfortable. Sat down on the desk chair and almost fell to the floor; busted. Sat down on the couch and the cushion disappeared into the guts of the couch. Cheap. Cheap. Cheap. The blackout shade is completely inadequate. Don't get me started on the bathroom. It looked like a bathroom you'd see at a Holiday Inn off the highway in Ohio. Terrible lighting and a shower with shower door that by no means looks renovated. The shampoo, conditioner and soap are far from premium and don't look for body lotion because there is none. Seriously, even a Hampton Inn gives you body lotion. I would opt for nearby choices from Hilton or Marriott.…
I just had a really terrific experience at the hotel. I am an event planner and coordinated a family retreat in the hotel over a weekend in January 2022. From the big smiles greeting you at the front desk to the rest of the amazing and accommodating staff, it was a real pleasure to stay in the Westminster. The ballroom and event space was large and well appointed. Check-in for the large group went very smoothly and any request was followed up on quickly. The guestrooms were very comfortable and although the outside temperatures were subzero, the entire hotel was perfectly comfortable and the guests were sad to leave! Cant wait to be back here!
We originally chose the Westminster hotel for our wedding guests to stay and to host a brunch on Sunday for our guests back in Oct 2019. Due to the pandemic we had to push our wedding back a full year. The staff at the Westminster was so flexible, accommodating and easy to work with. They made the entire wedding planning process more simple for us. Once the weekend finally arrived, everything was perfect. The rooms were clean and beautiful, newly renovated and they accommodated all of our guests wonderfully. We had several last minute changes due to weather and they were accommodating to all of our changes. Brunch on Sunday was fabulous and the presentation was beautiful. They went above and beyond for our guests. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone hosting a wedding or any other events. We worked with Jake and he was a pleasure to work with!…
I stayed at the hotel and upon arrival the front desk agents were very welcoming and engaging. I loved the indoor pool! We had dinner in the Feathered Fox restaurant and it was fantastic with great service. Overall the staff was extremely pleasant and made our stay very comfortable.
We can't be happier with our choice of the Westminster Hotel for our wedding party. From the first inquiry their staff was a pleasure to work with. They took care of every detail of the event and of our family's stay at the Hotel. Having everything under one roof made this special event even more meaningful and easy. All we had to do was focus on enjoying the moment with our family and guests.
What a treat! A gem of a venue. Getting creative with our stay cation plans, we chose this hotel for all of the full service amenities it has to offer. Their cleanliness and attention to detail is great. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. In addition to a great hotel, the staff is fantastic. They are engaged and compliment the vision that the Westminster has to offer. The restaurant also pairs well, sirloin steak and sushi were outrageous. I highly recommend this venue and hope that it provides for you what my fiance and I needed the most. To feel pampered on a budget.
