Very clean, excellent location for our families who were traveling for a softball tournament. Plenty of space for team dinner in lobby, hotel accommodation were spot on. They allowed for early check in (unheard of usually on a Saturday) outdoor pool was a total bonus for the team after a long hot day. Lots of stores locally.

I wanted to find a place to stay while I visited Manhattan on a busy weekend when most prices were sky high and hotels were already booked. I wanted a hotel that was reasonably priced, with easy access to the train, free parking, and free breakfast if possible. The Hampton Inn of Linden was perfect. The train station is 5 minutes from the hotel, with ample all-day parking for 5 dollars at the station. The train is a short and easy ride into Penn Station, New York. Most hotels closer to the city do not have free parking like this one. This Hampton Inn is clean, in a safe location, and convenient. If folks are looking for a place to stay for a New York City visit, I recommend the Hampton Inn in Linden. Oh, and if you are 62 or older, the train into New York costs just $3.80 each way.

I’ve been a member of the Hilton Hotels for a few years now and I’ve always come back. Sadly, my experience during my last stay was completely different from other hotels I’ve visited. The arrival process was decent. When I arrived at my room I noticed that the rooms are outdated compare to other Hilton Hotels and it had a weird smell that I couldn’t pint-point. I was ready to take a shower but noticed that the towel rug was not in the room and there was only 1 towel available. I decided to call the front desk to request the missing rug and an additional towel and I was told that I had to pick it up at the front desk. I inquire if someone could bring it to the room but was told that house keeping was gone for the day. It was kind of annoying to have to go to the front desk and to my surprise there were 2 employees sitting down chitchatting. I’m on previous stays at the Hilton’s there is someone always available to bring things to the room, especially if it was missing from the room. The AC was not working properly, I’ve set it up to the lowest temperature and the thermostat was still still reading 73 or something like that. That was throughout my stay. There was a sign on the 3rd floor that read ice and vending machine. For my surprise, there was no vending machine. I did appreciate the fact that the next day I was able to do a late checkout, reason why I am giving it a 3. It is very disappointing to me to give this rate and I am only giving this review based on my previous stays at other Hilton hotels.

Great location but hotel needs to be updated. The fitness room was very disappointing. The elliptical machine did not work and the treadmills need servicing as well or either replaced. The breakfast was fine.and the rooms were average. I would stay again due to the location but if I find better rates, I think I'd go elsewhere.

The place was affordable and decent. Fell below expectation of what I saw in the pictures online. Evening staff was not friendly. Bathroom was subpar and toilet inefficient. I was never able to get a successful wifi connection which was supposed to be complimentary. My neighbours were unruly and allowed their kids to ran through the hallway multiple times. Of course cant really blame the hotel for that but it just added to an underwhelming experience. All in all, considering price I suppose I expected too much especially when its listed as a very good, slightly below excellent.
