Detailed Reviews
Wow! We just went for the first time to celebrate Valentine’s Day and had no idea what a charming, warm and absolutely beautiful place this would be! We never thought a bed and breakfast would feel instantly like home when walking in. Chimney Hill Estate Inn is tastefully renovated with a perfect combination of restoring the original farmhouse with all of the original doors, locks, wide plank hardwood floors, etc. to adding some modern updates including one of a kind framed paintings and photographs for sale displayed throughout from talented local artists. The owners were so friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay feel so welcoming. The couches, bed, sheets, pillows and comforter felt so high end and comfortable. The temperature was perfect. Homemade breakfast tasted delicious! We couldn’t have had a better time and will def. tell everyone we know about it and add it to our list of places to visit often, even thought at first we first selfishly didn’t want to let anyone know about how great this place was so we wouldn’t have any competition when trying to book again! A true hidden GEM under 5 minutes from town where we ate a mouthwatering dinner at a cute BYOB restaurant named Brian’s both 5+*****’s!

We visited Chimney Hill Estate Inn in early Nov 2022 and found this property to be immaculate, charming and a great place to simply enjoy a quiet retreat. Our host, Mark, was extremely accommodating, kind and thoughtful; he made sure our stay was completely to our satisfaction. Breakfast was delicious and included onsite eggs and other local sourcing. Many thanks for a lovely stay and we will be back. Highly recommended!

Our stay at Chimney Hill Estate Inn was perfect.
It felt like we went back in time but had all the modern conveniences that we needed.
The Inn is just beautiful from the stone work to the door hardware
It was clean and comfortable and so peaceful
Our hosts greeted us with wine and cheese and a fire going in the fireplace
Breakfast was so delicious
And our hosts Sylvester and Mark went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.
Planning to visit each fall and make it an annual tradition!

The lovely farmhouse was recently purchase and entirely (badly) renovated with zero interesting in maintaining anything about the original home, zero integrity. It was very depressing to see a stereotypical cheap "flip" of the rooms.
The young men who purchased it are very pleasant and I wish them well. The style of this place was simply not for us, and it's not even finished yet, leading to rooms looking like they are staged with a bare minimum as opposed to actually furnished. My guess is that they are literally realtors used to flipping and staging houses. They need to bring in a decorator and finish renovating the rooms.
Our room was very small, included a closet full of construction equipment, construction currently in progress in parts, and no smoke detector/fire alarm or CO detector (dangerous! No thank you!) It was also separated by a thin old wooden door from another room, which we were NOT told about upon booking, even though I specifically mentioned privacy being a major concern to us. When they were in their room, it sounded like they were talking in the same room as us, ha! No, thank you!
Bed was tiny and super uncomfortable. On the one side, anyone trying to sit or lay down literally rolled right off, haha. Just silliness.
Bathroom was very modern, again no thought to keeping the integrity of the original gorgeous home, but while it looked nice, upon further inspection, the tile in the shower didn't line up and you could see the printing dots on the tile that was printed to look like marble but was just printed ceramic. The shower had also not been cleaned and had a gross mat of gray hair in the drain - disgusting!
We used the room just to change before dinner, then came back, packed our things, and left, cutting our weekend trip short. There was no way we were going to stay in this place. :( So now we're out $421 for a room we used for about 20 minutes. So annoyed and disappointed, really think we deserve at least a partial refund.
I will say they were one of the few places willing to do a one-night stay for an additional $75 upcharge on a weekend so if you absolutely need that, maybe try one of the suites? Then again, the Gas Light Inn also will let you book a single night for a similar fee and in a much better location. I wish we had picked them. Next time!

We had a business meeting and dinner in their lovely updated barn. The space was bright and airy. The owner could not have been more accommodating, he provided us with everything we needed. There was ample parking and the location just outside of Lambertville on Goat Hill was perfect--out in the country but close to Lambertville/New Hope.
We were given a tour of the available rooms which were really awesome!!

My colleagues and I visited for a 3-day work retreat in April 2023. We rented the full "Colonial House" for 6 people. The space was clean and well kept. Although it is an older property, the owners have tastefully updated key spaces (e.g., bathrooms) while maintaining original charm. Sylvester and Mark (the owners) were very friendly and extremely accommodating. The breakfast was made to order (based on a pre selected menu) and very tasty. We would highly recommend to anyone looking for an affordable, historic, and well maintained B&B close to Lambertville downtown (20 min walk) and New Hope (just over the bridge from Lambertville).

My husband and I booked this place for a romantic night for 2 for a private New Year's Eve. We were extremely excited due to the pictures provided and the ammenities the suite had to offer (fireplace and jacuzzi) . We stayed in barn suite #4. On their website they state you have to check in between 3pm and 5pm due to it being a bed and breakfast and the owners are not always there. We arrived at 4pm and one of the owners was outside and told us just to go let ourselves into the room as he had to leave. We let ourselves into the room which I will say was very nice. My husband and I immediately went to our dinner reservations and to tour the town. When we got back to the room later in the evening we attempted to use the fireplace which was NOT working. After that we filled up the jaccuzi tub and attempted to turn on the jets to the hot tub, which would NOT turn on. We were so dissapointed as this room was almost 600 dollars for 1 night! In the morning at checkout there was no one at the counter to speak with so we left. On the way home I called to check out and let them know that neither the fireplace or the jets of the jacuzzi tub were working. The owners response was oh sorry about that, the pilot of the fireplace must have been out and you have to turn a dial on the other side of the wall to allow electricity to the jets of the tub and I really should have told you that. And that was ALL he said!!! The next day I got an email from them thanking us for our stay and to email them if any issues they could improve on. I emailed them again about how disappointed we were about not being able to use the amenities promised to us with the room. He emailed back offering 25 percent off our next stay. Are you kidding! Next stay???? You should rectify the stay we weren't able to use anything in the room for almost 600 dollars a night! I kindly emailed him back this and no response. So they clearly do not care about customer service of their customers. As pretty as it looks I would NOT stay here for the money. They clearly are just in it for the money and not hospitality. My husband and I stay at bed and breakfasts all the time and have always had wonderful experiences. Also I will add if you stay in suite 4 beware. The couch is right under the spiral staircase and when my husband stood up from the couch he hit his head very hard on the bottom of the staircase.

What a great find! We booked on a whim at 9am on a Saturday for a 1 night stay that night. By 10am Marek had called to say to come whenever. This was early March so I know we got lucky on a non-busy weekend.
The bed and breakfast itself is very nicely and modernly decorated, which was something we were looking for since typically B&B's are decorated more like grandma's house! Our room was in the attic of the main house. Definitely a tight squeeze to get up there for taller people but it really wasn't an issue at all. There are also 2 additional buildings with suites in the back that looked very nice.
The location was great - 4 minutes into Lambertville and 7 minutes into New Hope by car. There are also Uber's in the area.
We had a great breakfast the next morning with 2 other couples staying at the time.

My husband and I just spent three nights for his birthday at Chimney Hill Estate. The experience was wonderful. We rented a suite and it was just like the pictures portrayed - clean, modern, rustic and cool. We were surprised upon our arrival to our suite with a Happy Birthday banner and a bottle of wine to enjoy for the occasion. The suite was so cozy with the fireplace and comfortable and clean accommodations. Breakfast was delicious. The hosts Mark and Sylvester were very welcoming and offer great suggestions for things to see, do or places to go.
The area has a plethora of restaurants, cafes, ice cream, shopping, art galleries, and antiques, and river-view fun, with two great towns Lambertsville NJ and New Hope PA just a bridge crossing away. A must see is the Overlook view just round the corner from the Inn. I would definitely come back as Chimney Hill Estate was so inviting. After working all week in the city, this B&B soothes your soul and revitalizes you for the week ahead!

I cannot tell you how grateful I am to have landed here for my stay in New Jersey. After being in tears all night after just discovering the prior b&b we booked was a complete dump, I called Chimney Hill inquiring about a room to stay that very night and for a week on since I needed a place to take care of my sister. We also needed a disability-accessible room, but the only room of that kind was booked. The owners of Chimney Hill are so tremendous that they asked the couple in that suite if they could move to another to make room for us, and they graciously agreed! So so thankful to the accommodating owners.
Beyond the owners being a delight, this place is gorgeous!! We felt so comfortable and relaxed in the beautifully renovated space. The bed was extremely comfy, the shower so soothing, and the property was a wonderful green escape into nature. The best part was the chickens! The owners cooked AMAZING breakfasts with their eggs every morning. So so special!
I cannot recommend this place enough and if I ever find myself in Jersey again I’ll be sure to book here! Such a delightful, serene, and personalized experience. Thank you for making our time so rejuvenating and enjoyable!
(Photos of chickens included because they’re adorable)

We stayed in the main house and it was very quiet
I stayed in the main house and there was a window a/c unit in the room but no a/c in the bathroom that was across the hall. The main areas of the house were cool although I did not notice where it was coming from. It is a very old house so I would assume it was from window units also.
Hi, Georgia. Answer this traveler's question here.
The bathroom is located about 3' across the hall from the guestroom door. It is private and their are robes in the closet.
Thank you for considering Chimney Hill Estate we hope to see you here soon
