I stayed in room 1012 and was very satisfied. The room was clean and large and was very comfortable.Nicole at the front desk provided excellent customer service. The restaurant had a breakfast buffet that I checked out and looked good. I couldn’t eat there due to I had to get going but I would definitely recommend this hotel.Right next to metro park train station.

I stayed at this hotel from the 10th of October until the 15th of October 2019.
My stay was mainly due to the fact that I was going to attend a concert at Carnegie Hall , and to meet up with friends living in New Jersey.
The hotel is fairly well situated and I was told that it was formerly a Hilton Hotel.
Presently owned by a Japanese company.
Arriving at the hotel, I found that there was no concierge service available at the hotel .
Coming from Europe and having two suit cases and a cabin bag ,and when I was told that it was self service, I was utterly surprised.
The front desk staff were very friendly and the Checkin procedure went very smoothly.
The rooms are very spacious and clean.
It had all the necessary amenities which you could expect at a city hotel.
I was shown where I could pick up a trolley, and transport my bags to my allocated room.
I received five coupons for my stay so that I can have breakfast in the morning.
Will do a separate review on the breakfast buffet.
As I was under the impression that it was out sourced by the hotel.
On the whole the staff at the reception and the house keeping staff were very friendly, pleasant and efficient.
Very practical hotel for people in groups and attending conferences.
I must confess , that I enjoyed my stay ,as I have lovely friends who made my stay a memorable one.
Will definitely return to New Jersey again.
Thanks and warm regards,

This was my 4th time staying at this hotel and I once again enjoyed my stay! I was allowed to check in a little early since I informed the staff I had been driving from the Midwest and I was in my room within minutes of arriving. My room was huge - 2 comfortable beds and was clean as well. I stayed for 3 days and did not encounter any problems during my stay. I had the "Do Not Disturb" on the door my entire stay, but housecleaning provided me with extra bottles of water when I saw them in the hallway, which I appreciated. Super close to the Menlo Mall, as well as an easy on/off from the Garden State Parkway. Thank you for another great stay and I look forward to a 5th stay in the future!

We have stayed here several times either as an alternative to NYC or to brak up a trip to upstate NY. Although older, location extremely convenient, room were nicely renovated. I must be honest, the hotel is owned by a Japanese Company and the rooms feature tripped out Toto toilets with heated seats! We checked in last night and were greeting with the overwhelming smell of pot in the lobby and by the elevators. It amazes me, cigarette smoking is not allowed but this is???? Looking down from our room on the 10th floor, there were about two dozen cars in the parking lot. Most of the night, we were jolted awake by slamming doors that shook the room and then the unpleasant smell of pot! Our room looked like it had been in a brawl. Broken drawer and cabinet panels hanging off, This room should not be given out when clearly there are other rooms available.
We checked in at 9:08 and the restaurant closed at 9. They would not allow us to get a glass of wine. We were told by the front desk personnto download an app called drizzle and order cocktail for delivery. We left at 7:45am, the Starbucks was not open. Somehow they charge $50 for incidentals at check in, for what, I do not know..

Where do I start? First the positives, this hotel has good bones. Nice rooms, meeting rooms, 2 restaurants, huge gym space, pool, etc. Unfortunately, this space is horribly mismanaged. See photos.
The gym has very old equipment, an empty space where the water cooler should be, so no water, no towels, no disinfect wipes. Despite the card they gave me for breakfast saying that they open at 6:00, they don't actually open till 6:30. Signs for the food are also mislabeled.
When I brought all this up to the staff, there was no caring at all. The best I got was "yeah, that's a mistake...", Like that's the best we can do here.
Our company hq is across the street so we use this hotel a lot. Putty it's so poorly managed.

Had to ask for 3 rooms until i found one that didnt smell like cigarettes. Some of the walls are visibly worn out and torn, same goes for ceilings. Wish I read the comment that their cleaning staff went on strike because honestly that makes a lot of sense. Kelly was helpful though and changed the rooms with no issue, however when changing the room from the first one all the other ones were smaller, but it didnt reek of cigarettes so i stayed. It just seemed dirty and plain greasy. My mom talked this place up a lot because she used to come her when she was younger, but even she stated "this place has gone to crud". Very unfortunate, i was really looking forward to this. It's my first time purchasing a hotel by myself and it didnt happen the way i thought. I would very much like a refund or some type of discount. I normally dont write critcally powered reviews, yet here i am.

Dear 706gabriellen, Thank you for taking the time to share your recent stay with us. I am truly very sorry about the experience you had. I will be sharing your wonderful words about Kelly with her and the rest of the team. If possible, can you please email me at Bernice.Luna@friendwell.com so we can discuss on how we can make up for this experience? This is truly unacceptable and we would love a chance to redeem ourselves. I look forward to hearing from you. Take care and stay safe!

The manager Octavian is trying to get my public opinion taken off. This is despicable he is so unprofessional he sent me a private message apologizing than proceeded to try and get my message deleted. Octavian is a completely incompetent when it comes to customer satisfaction . Guy acts like he owns the place and is too good for anything or a conversation about my experience. I was not trying to get anything for free just wanted to really put my input out there. How does someone like this run such a beautiful establishment what a shame. Looking online I think the owners live in Japan. They need to wake up and smell the coffee..
PS. Mr Octavian learn how to be more professional not hide from the fact you are incompetent by trying to have my message deleted.

This is a reproduction of a review I had written on google reviews. I am pasting the same here with the intention of saving other potential families from wasting their hard earned money. So here we go : -
Worst ever Hotel I have ever stayed in. I had booked a room with 2 queens and opted for the best they had on Orbitz. For the price I had expected a nice, clean and pleasant room. Let me itemize my experience here:
1. The front desk representative was wayyy too rude, talked to me as if I am inconveniencing him, I had arrived at 1:00 PM, first he said the rooms are not ready and would not be for next 1 hour and said he can give a king instead. I would be staying with my wife and 2 little kids and I had mentioned that during my reservation, this was already prepaid for with all the details and yet he gave me downgrade for a room that was $200+ per night.
2. He then proceeded to ask how little my kids were and said he has to give a room that would not be in a quite zone(this was fair and I did not argue).
3. But then comes the highlight, the floor was the ninth floor and in the corridor stench was awful, smelt like weed and stale cigarettes.
4. Then comes the room itself, the beds were made in a hurry, the bathroom was small and the commode was cracked. The bathtub had not been cleaned properly and had stickers in it.
5. The room itself felt stuffy and dirty overall.
6. Now the parking lot was filled with litter and trash and they did not think it was right on their part to have that reasonably clean.
I decided not to stay here and let the rude front desk receptionist know that I am checking out since I do not feel the room is up to the mark, like before he did not care and said go ahead, you are not getting a refund anyway. He can give another room if I wanted but his attitude and the overall presentation of one room was enough reason for me to leave without the refund. So This review is not something made up by someone who did not pay for the room.
Not sure how this place got the 4 stars it did, makes me doubt if those reviews were written by genuine customers or not. The reviews that gave them lower stars seems genuine since their experience coincided with mine. A request to other reviewers, please do not misguide others by giving false reviews and misguide genuine customers like me who then get scammed out of their hard-earned money. I have been in Comfort Inns/suites, Hiltons, Holdiay Inn Express which were far far better than this dump. And yes No free breakfast as someone else had mentioned before. For the kind of money they charge, very highly unprofessional staff, poor service and horrible place overall. Please Please save your money and use it in a name that you are familiar with than a place like this.
Even with this review, with the kind of staff they have here, I do not expect a response from anyone in a position of responsibility to even contact me. I have been very generous with the 1 Star review, since that is the least it would allow me to provide.

“I was astonished reading so many negative reviews here. I’ve stayed here several times over the last two years and have had a great experience each time. The staff is very professional, helpful and friendly and the infrastructure well maintained and clean. The public areas are expansive with a huge lobby and 4 fast elevators serving the upper floors. There are two restaurants on the ground floor that do seem underutilized as I’ve had good meals and service when used. The two exercise rooms are large and fully stocked with weight stacks, weight machines, elliptical, treadmill and exercise bike. Incidentally the hotel is a 4 minute drive to Metropark Station, an Amtrak stop with about 3 trains an hour to Penn Station, Manhattan. The hotel is easily accessed from the major highway here, the Garden State Freeway. The parking lots are huge always with open spaces. There is a snack stand in the lobby with a nice selection for purchase and a nice breakfast room with good mostly healthy selections. To summarize APA Woodbridge is definitely my favorite in New Jersey at this price.”

I stayed here about a month ago to attend a conference and there were several attendees who parked at the hotel over the weekend and took the train to NYC to the football game. They returned the following morning for the conference and seemed to have no issues parking overnight. I hope that this helps!
Hi Lynda!
Congratulations on the upcoming marriage for your son! Grand Marquis is about 10 miles from here and it is a 15 minute trip. We do offer shuttle service, normally within 3 miles, however, if you coordinate with one of our Sales Managers, Nicole Biglasco, it something we can do. She can also help with the room block, as well. She can be reached at: 732-603-7792.
Kind Regards
Just make sure the hotel knows you're coming in that late so they don't give your room to anyone else! ... As suggested it's best to prepay/guarantee your first night!
Good Afternoon Yarnell,
Whether you pre-pay or not depends on the type of reservation you are making and how you are making it. If you reserve your room through the reservation line, the APA website, or the hotel directly we just authorize your credit card and you do not get charged until you check in. If you are reserving your room through a third party website, such as Expedia, they may charge you upfront.
Please call the hotel main line found on our website and speak to one of our front desk agents if you need additional information.
We look forward to your visit!
Happy Travels!
