We stayed at the Widow McCrea last weekend. The house and it's location offer many fun and fabulous things to do. I love cycling, close by is the D & R Canal Towpath Bike Trail which snakes along the Delaware River. Breakfast was incredible, 3 courses-local and organic and delightful!

The Widow McCrea Bed and Breakfast is a beautifully decorated home with gorgeous antiques and in a perfect location for day trips to Grounds for Sculpture and Princeton University. The unexpected bonus was that Frenchtown was was absolutely quaint and delightful! It reminded me of a small version of New Hope, PA. The short car rides to our points of... More

We needed a break from the real world and found it here. Our room was warm, quiet and cozy, tastefully decorated in the style of centuries past. Both the room and bath were clean and well-kept, and were especially inviting. The fresh flowers and bottle of wine were a lovely, unexpected touch. We were lulled to a restful night's sleep... In the area for a party at the nearby Sand Castle Winery my friend and I shared a little cottage with a queen bed and extremely comfortable pull out sofa. The gas fire place took the chill of the rainy day away and made the place completely cozy. The spa-like bathroom with gorgeous jacuzzi was extremely nice. The cottage is... More

I have family in the area. Whenever I come to town, I stay with innkeeper Lynn Marad. She really dots her I's and crossed the T's. Nothing is overlooked at this quality establishment. From finished sheets, to fluffy towels and divine breakfasts ( what woman "of a certain age" doesn't like a candle- lit breakfast?) and the coffee is so... More

Each year, we try a new bed and breakfast in New Jersey. The Widow McCrea House ranked as one of the best places we have visited. The suite that we picked was beautifully decorated, immaculate, spacious and comfortable, with a large jacuzzi tub, gas fireplace, and a great bottle of wine delivered to our room. The inn keeper, Lynn, took... More

If you're looking for something out of a Victorian story book, look no farther. Everything down to the smallest detail has been maliciously though of. The bed was soft and comfortable, quiet ceiling fan, fresh flowers, Victorian furnishings and an English garden with a fountain outside our door. The owner was warm and receptive. Food was nothing short of great.... More

The bed and breakfast was absolutely wonderful. The hosts, Burt and Lynn were so accommodating. I would highly recommend coming here for a romantic weekend!! The breakfasts were first class. We stayed in the Anne James Suite. Couldn't have asked for a nicer room!

Staying at the beautifully adorned, large 1854 Victorian house, Widow McCrea just a short walk from town, was like having all the comforts of home and more. The rooms have period furniture with modern bathrooms. There is a complementary bottle of local wine in each room too. (Nice touch). Our hostess Lynn was charming, friendly, and concerned that we enjoyed... More
