I have family in the area. Whenever I come to town, I stay with innkeeper Lynn Marad. She really dots her I's and crossed the T's. Nothing is overlooked at this quality establishment. From finished sheets, to fluffy towels and divine breakfasts ( what woman "of a certain age" doesn't like a candle- lit breakfast?) and the coffee is so... More

Each year, we try a new bed and breakfast in New Jersey. The Widow McCrea House ranked as one of the best places we have visited. The suite that we picked was beautifully decorated, immaculate, spacious and comfortable, with a large jacuzzi tub, gas fireplace, and a great bottle of wine delivered to our room. The inn keeper, Lynn, took... More

If you're looking for something out of a Victorian story book, look no farther. Everything down to the smallest detail has been maliciously though of. The bed was soft and comfortable, quiet ceiling fan, fresh flowers, Victorian furnishings and an English garden with a fountain outside our door. The owner was warm and receptive. Food was nothing short of great.... More

The bed and breakfast was absolutely wonderful. The hosts, Burt and Lynn were so accommodating. I would highly recommend coming here for a romantic weekend!! The breakfasts were first class. We stayed in the Anne James Suite. Couldn't have asked for a nicer room!

Staying at the beautifully adorned, large 1854 Victorian house, Widow McCrea just a short walk from town, was like having all the comforts of home and more. The rooms have period furniture with modern bathrooms. There is a complementary bottle of local wine in each room too. (Nice touch). Our hostess Lynn was charming, friendly, and concerned that we enjoyed... More

The house is immaculate, beautifully decorated, well maintained and close to town. The innkeepers provide a wonderful breakfast with homemade baked goods, juicy fruit and mouth watering presentation! Today, Lynn, amazed the guests with blueberry muffins, poached pears and french toast with challah bread (from scratch)....absolutely delicious!! The rooms have period furniture with modern bathrooms. Be aware it is an old... More

As garden fanciers,we paired a trip to Longwood Gardens with a stay at the Widow Mc Crea House in frenchtown NJ. Before even entering the house, we knew that someone with a green thumb tended the quaint Inn. Inside and out it was just charming and thoughtfully designed and appointed. Our room didn't dissapoint, in fact i enjoyed the best... More

We stayed in the Kase Cottage which is a separate, private building detached from the main house. We could not have been more pleased! Delicious breakfasts were brought to our cottage each morning. We listened to music and sat by the fire by night, and explored Frenchtown and the surrounding area by day. The owners were most hospitable and made... More
