We were on an multi-day bike ride along the Delaware River and stayed at the National Hotel. What a treat! We arrived in the evening and were told we could lock our bikes on the back porch keeping them dry and safe. The owners had turned the air conditioning up a bit as it was a hot day so the...

This very old, but very updated, hotel has some delightful surprises. Our room had two large beds with elaborate canopies suspended from the ceiling. The furniture, mirrors, chairs, and window shades were on the newer side, but blended in nicely with the older structure of the hotel. There is a rathskeller in the basement with live music, and a friendly...

We're thrilled that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you were also able to enjoy Frenchtown itself. What an unexpected find! I have come to the National Hotel twice now-- in March and again in June. It is matchless for its charm, hospitality and its quaint atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The price is reasonable. The staff makes the experience outstanding! Marlon, the manager, is approachable, friendly and extremely helpful whether suggesting places to explore...

We're absolutely thrilled that you stayed with us, and moreover, that you have chosen to return again--it speaks volumes about the dedication of our staff. They do it because they too love this historic building and truly care. I cannot say anything more than what you already said about our GM, Marlon Aranha, who always goes out of his way...

I absolutely loved my stay at this quaint hotel. Service was amazing. The manager Marlon was hands down one of the best efficient that I have ever met. Located centrally to everything you might need. Wow! There's just so little we can say, except: THANK YOU! You hit all the right notes where we can share with our dedicated staff (especially our GM, Marlon Aranha, who has been a part of our establishment since we opened our doors back in 2009) your feedback, but also share with other patrons, all the accolades that demonstrate how...

A delightful weekend in Frenchtown, N.J., spent at the National with our most charming host, Marlon. Everything from the superfine cotton sheets in our most comfortable bed to our delicious cup of morning coffee, accompanied by croissants and blueberry muffins. Highly recommended.

What a compact hotel! Our hotel room is spacious, the restaurant is convenient and the Rathskeller bar in the basement is perfect for a little nightlife. Rathskeller is definitely for a bar crowd. The restaurant upstairs is much nicer and has a nice bar. The hoteliers are friendly, helpful and maintain the property with care. The restaurant menu is diverse...

It was a true pleasure to have been able to serve you. Thank you for choosing The National Hotel. You are quite right that our cellar tavern, The Rathskeller Pub, is a great choice for spending time in Frenchtown late into the night (hence our nickname, the "area's late night destination")! We're so pleased that you enjoyed your overnight stay...

The first floor of this grand hotel is devoted to one of the finer restaurants I have eaten in. Beautiful main dining is lit up from all the large windows surrounding the dining area.
