The male cousins on my mother's side began a tradition of camping together. Most of us have had some involvement with Boy Scouts and thought it would be a great way to hang out as a group. We rented three campsites to accommodate the group of nine of us. The sites were all relatively flat areas of gravel. Each site... More

Worst campsite I ever camped at. The owner was very rude, ignorant, totally disrespectful to my 83 year old handicap father. I advise you not to camp there. No swimming pool, outhouse floors where flooded and there is bears there.

Owners were rude to my family. We are an interracial couple. We complained about two seasonal campsites that were flying the confederate flag. The owners became angry because we complained and denied it was the Confederate flag. We will not go back. I certainly would want to know this before I went to a campground where I would have to... We are glad you enjoyed our campground and are sorry you feel you can’t return. We understand the wide spread discussion of this flag is a direct result of the horrific shooting of nine people in Charleston. The event was evil and hateful and should never be forgotten. Hopefully people will put their focus on the goodness and love those... More

My children and I really enjoyed this campsite and will probably visit again in the future. Site - We stayed at #64 and loved it. The sites are small compared to other places that we have stayed, but there is a small creek that runs right behind the site. The sound of the water running over the rocks was so... More

This is the first time we stayed at a campground. Staff was very nice. The bbq grill and firepit were great. A lot of private space at our trailer campsite, with a great deal of trees and bushes. Great water pressure in the shower. Plenty of storage. The only minus: the queen bed mattress wasn't very comfortable, the twin beds... More

We have been coming to Camp Taylor at least once a year for about 7 years now and absolutely love it! We usually go with a group of friends/family and book sites 59 and 60 together. There's a lot of room and privacy, but it's also close enough to the lake and bathrooms. We've even met some campers in nearby... More

We love Camp Taylor! Nice, large private wooded sites. Stream and a lake, swimming and boating. Trails and attractions. This campground has it all! The Junkin (antiquing) in the area isn't bad either.

We are new to the world of RV camping and this was our first destination!! We drove nearly 8 hours to arrive here and were thrilled with our choice. I had asked for "as private as possible" when I called to reserve and we were delighted with our site!! (71). We packed up to woods and were surrounded by the... More

The orientation is not complete, the rules are not clearly communicated and you will get hit with unexpected fines. All they care about is MONEY. BEWARE of the shameless operators who have no courtesy of talking to their guests. ------------- We had reserved 2 campsites. On the day of arrival, we were not briefed completely- in fact we were tagged... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our campground. It is clear from your review that you had enjoyed your stay and planned to return, but are angry that we choose to only welcome back campers respectful of our rules. As we do with everyone who comes in to register for camping, we physically highlight the rules as they... More

If you are not here to party up a storm and make a lot of ruckus, you will have a great time! We went swimming in the lake (pecked at by little sunfish); visited Lakota Wolf Preserve; and saw wildlife. You get a discounted price for wolf preserve when you camp here. Yes, mosquitoes bit, but that's what happens outdoors.... More
