Hubby and I are new to RVing (we were long-time tent campers until this year). We don’t have a lot to compare it to… but Sunset RV Resort was the 3rd RV resort that we have ever visited. It is my absolute favorite so far! We will definitely be back. We visited during the pandemic. Upon arrival, we were gifted two little bottles of hand sanitizers, a packet of disinfecting wipes for surfaces, and two surgical face masks in a high-quality, reusable pouch. Very nice! The resort is large and has two pools and a lake for the guests to swim in. We didn’t go swimming because we had our dogs and dogs are not allowed in the swimming areas. We don’t feel comfortable leaving the dogs in our camper. There is a dog park and there are posts with dog poop bags and garbage cans attached to them throughout the park. So, the resort is dog-friendly, even if dogs are not allowed to swim. The resort consists mostly of the trailers that are permanent in nature. Folks have big, elaborate decks, sheds, lawn furniture, etc. It looks like super cute, clean trailer park. It is only 10 minutes from the beach and most trailers are decorated in beachy, coastal, and nautical themes. There are plenty of large shade trees and the roads are well-maintained. The resort also has several cabins for rent, some tent-camping sites, and several RV/travel trailer sites with full hook ups (some pull-through, some back in). We stayed at one of the travel trailer sites. For solitude and privacy (and to limit our dogs barking at every one who walks by), I purposely chose the very last site in the campground before the exit. It was wonderful! Our view was of the woods on two sides and we had a little grassy field in front of us (with solar panels behind it). The site was level. It was covered in stone pebbles. This was great! We barely tracked any dirt into the camper and this was the first trip where the pups did not need a bath when we got home! There were other RVs next to us, but we barely noticed each other. The pups loved playing frisbee in the field. The free wifi was pretty weak where we were, but we weren’t out camping to be on our electronics. The park was quiet at night. The other guests were all quite pleasant. The location is good too! Just about a 15-minute drive to historic cape may, and close to Atlantic City and Wildwood too. We have zero complaints or recommendations for the resort. We’re looking forward to our next visit!

As a 9 month rental for the last 2 years, we entered Driftwood with high expectations. During the last 2 years we’ve had multiple weekends without the pool due to maintenance issues and the WiFi that is provided is substandard at best. But the WiFi issue was okay since I needed a secure connection for work, and we were able to subscribe to comcast for secure internet service...until year 2...because Sun Resorts owns the plant in the campground, and it is so old and in disrepair, Comcast can no long maintain it to their standards. When Comcast advised Sun that the infrastructure needed to be upgraded in order for them to continue supplying internet service, Sun refused ..... so Comcast stopped supplying internet. Comcast is the only option other than using your hotspot and data... we feel Sun was dishonest when the sales people told us what facilities were available.. and why are they not maintaining the services in the campground? We’d like to know what the 5% increase in rates last year was for, since you are raising the rates another 5% this year ... seriously consider staying if you need reliable WiFi...we are seriously considering another year... very disappointed

For two straight years we have chosen to stay at Driftwood. The deluxe cabin we stayed in was great except for one thing. The mattresses we NOT good at all, this made for a rough week of sleep. This is something that should be fixed. The only thing that should be fixed actually. Everything else is great. The pools, the lake, General Store and Arcade were all great. The kids enjoy Driftwood as much as we do. The entire grounds are family oriented and feel very safe.

Electrical problem on the site side to start. Site not level, nice asphalt. They close one of two pools at 3ish on a Friday and Saturday when it's 80 some degree out and they have you go to other one. No control of shower temperature even though it's free way too hot. Store runs out of stuff, how do you do that especially on a Friday when most of your trailer people come in.
