The staff inside the office ( blonde lady, British lady) were not very pleasant. The guy who escorted us to our site was very friendly. There’s not very much to do at this location. It literally sits in a neighborhood and the tiny pool sits on the main road. The “stocked” pond was only about 18” deep. I could literally see my hook on the bottom. you can’t fish a large portion of it because of underground wires and fish are extremely small and so used to the routine that they come up and wait to be fed but are used to things enough to not go after the bait on the hook. There are more small turtles that come up and steal your bait than there are fish. The RV sites are EXTREMELY small and close together. My neighbors picnic table is literally under my slide and their slides are over their neighbors tables. The “camp store”is fairly useless - don’t even have lighter fluid and is very tiny. It is more of a gift shop IMO. My teens (13,14) found painted rocks that said “if found return to office” they were actually excited to look for more rocks (as stated there’s not much to do) when they did the blonde lady very rudely said “you know this is for kids right?!” My sons said that they in fact were NOT aware of that fact as it was our first visit and apologized. She then said if they brought anymore back instead of a prize they’d get a slap in the face. I was surprised as I was just excited my boys were doing something as harmless as looking for rocks when I saw ( and smelled) others in the woods smoking weed. As I said the office staff needs an attitude adjustment. The Rec room has one broken air hockey table and a couch - that’s it…The restrooms are clean though and the showers do have good water pressure. We are used to having a lot more amenities available though. The experience would at least be bearable if the staff had better attitudes and were more welcoming.(photos show that our site was literally next to residential homes and situated in a neighborhood and pool is on main road )…
We stayed in a deluxe cabin with 5 people and we really enjoyed our stay. This place is very quiet and calm. Friendly staff and the cabin was stocked with bedding, towels & kitchen ware. It had everything we needed for our 3 day stay. My daughter enjoyed the pond, she caught tons of fish.
This is a bit tough to write as there were good and not so good things about our stay. The good 1. Location and convenience 2. Price 3. Bathrooms - clean and well kept 4. Office staff- helpful and friendly The bad 1. Tight and narrow sites 2. The site was not cleaned before our arrival. Leaves and small branches are fine, however cigarette butts, glass and a used anode rod not so much. 3. Horrible Wi-Fi, slow and basically unusable. I realize #1 on the my negative list is a personal view, but #2 and #3 can and should be fixed.
We stopped here on our way up to Maine, and absolutely loved this little gem. Super easy to get to from the interstate. It was delightfully quiet and clean and nice. We stayed in the Glamping Tents and if you haven't, you absolutely should!!! What a great experience!!!
me start by stating that we stay at many KOAs all the time because you usually know what you’re getting. What a huge disappointment within minutes of arriving at this holiday koa. Do not stay here and these are my reasons why: 1. Called beforehand to get site number and was told they assign them upon arrival. 2. Arrived 40min early and the blond behind desk was extremely rude couldn’t even say hello or good afternoon, no greeting whatsoever and just said there would be a $25 early check in fee! So we waited til the 1pm check in time. 3. Tells us she will email receipt and never does 1. Site given is so awful and tight that the next door RV slide is over our picnic table so unable to use and fire ring if in use will burn neighbors Rv. This is of course no error of my neighbors and whom ever pulls in on other side of us will experience the same issue. 4. Called office and ask if we can please have another site because of above issues. Immediately told no and we can leave with full refund. Although I see many available sites and she said people are coming in on the weekend for koa customer appreciation. What a joke she doesn’t even know the definition of customer service. I said..but sites aren’t assigned until check in and she just repeats that we can leave if we want. But unfortunately we couldn’t because their was no other campground around this area that’s why we ended up here. 5. Set up and then grass cutting & weed whacking begins around my mat, chairs etc. Makes me happy but nervous as the campers are so tight they are practically touching ours with large mower while doing this task. Thankfully husband had blower to use after they were finished since it was most definitely needed. 6. Go back to office and request printed receipt since never getting email, she does so however insisting she sent. Once again this woman never apologizes and most definitely doesn’t belong in a customer service role! 7. Ask for any brochures to attractions in area and was told they have none and doesn’t know why but to drive 20 min to Philadelphia’s visitors center. I had planned to do this anyway but still thought a koa would have some type of brochures available. Again disappointing. 8. Beware price of firewood (small) is $9.50!! Laundry is $2.75 Dryer is $1.50. This is a bit more than other places we’ve stayed at. 9. No lock or code to enter bathhouses so anyone can pop in at any time. Showers are extremely small if you choose to use, it’s a restroom stall door with shower behind. That’s it folks I wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t come back!!…
Stayed two nights, we have 44’ class A. The attendant took us to our site, but he didn’t get off his golf cart to guide my husband in the site as we had to allow room between the trees for our slide outs. The Park is spacious, clean, and very pretty. Love the little pond and fountain. Has a nice area to walk your dogs and plenty of pet bags and trash containers for their waste. We don’t use the bathhouse, but walked in to check it out and there was a foul odor, I would’ve hated having to use it to shower. My husband and I were already unhooking and preparing to leave when he got a text on our day of departure at 9:00am reminding us that we needed to be out by 11:00am, never had we felt pushed out before. Over all I would recommend staying here, just don’t ask the woman in the office for information as she isn’t very helpful and acted like she was being bothered. It isn’t a bad drive to Philadelphia crossing the Ben Franklin bridge. Due check out Independence Hall online as you need to buy tickets and reserve your day ahead of time due to covid. We didn’t know this, we were there on a Thursday and the next availability was Monday (we left on Saturday).…
Here for two nights to see Philly...ride train in and parked at train station to ride. Front office of KOA will help guide any questions about visiting area. So helpful on getting setup in your site. Fun pond and outside kid area if your kids with you...mine are grown.
We stayed at this campground for 6 weeks during mid-November to the end of December. It is a nice campground with a mix of long-term and weekend campers. Some of the sites are quite small/tight, but they were clean. We were there during some wet weather, where the grounds were quite wet and a bit more gravel in our campsite would have been nice. The maintenance staff was quite helpful to us. The WiFi Internet service was quite inconsistent, sometimes fine and sometimes useless. (We suppose that other campers were streaming during parts of the day, making it unusable for us.) Overall, it was a good campground.
I always enjoy reading the reviews of a KOA resorts. Some people love them and some people don't. I really believe the standards are almost identical. This holds true for Clarksboro. We arrived in freezing weather but where met with a warm welcome. A special thanks to Norm! After three nights, we have only positive things to say. There is one item that could be improved at all KOA’s. Street lights. There aren’t any! Many people have dogs. It's dark at night. It would be easier to walk our dogs in lighted streets. Thanks
We were only here for two nights, but it didn't knock our socks off. Our site was a bit of a squeeze to get our 40' motorhome into it; They have a golf cart guy lead you out to the site (as is often the case), but then he just sat in his cart and watched with no directional help as my husband pulled our rig into the tight spot (pulling over a corner of the concrete patio, which has clearly happened before because the corner was broken). I was watching from our disconnected tow car. Honestly, I like it when a golf cart guy helps because then I don't have to give directional help, but if they're just going to watch from their cart, I'd rather do it myself and not have him there at all! The park seemed to be about full, and there was a large group staying in the cabins that were partying well past quiet hours - till about midnight. Why bother having quiet hours if you don't enforce them?…
