Wading Pines has a lot to offer. Will everything appeal to everybody? No way. It will totally depend on when you go, and what you want to do when you are there. It will also depend on what you are camping in and with. Its a great place for canoe and kayak trips - some start at the campground, other...

First visit. Great site by the river. Clean restrooms with showers (one is heated). Staff was very friendly. Small store on site. Very rural area. Big negative was the out-of-control party-goers. Extremely loud with lots of drinking. Not sure why the camp let it go on for hours past the 11pm curfew. Bummer. Makes us reconsider making this an annual...

If your over 40 and like to spend every day, all day, drunk, this place is for you! The Seasonal campers start drinking by 10am and party all hours into the night, with no rules on where you can and can't smoke, and no speed restrictions on golf carts.

My family and I stayed here for the first time and had a very nice and relaxing stay. Our site was very quiet and clean. The people we met while we were there were very friendly. We were near the entrance. I wish we were closer to the pool and playground though. We brought tubes for the river but never...

We have been seasonal at this campground for years and when we started coming here this place was great and it is going completely down hill. The rates keep climbing with no improvements to the campground. The tennis courts next to the pool are such an eye sore. Who plays tennis anymore? Don't even attempt to play shuffleboard if you...

Just returned from a 3 day stay at the campground. We had a corner spot Riverfront which was very nice (251). The campground is huge and easy to find. Bring your own tubes or floats and you dont have to pay a thing. Blow them up with the free air by the camp store and float 1 hour and walk...

As kids we had visited Wading Pines amd had really fond memories so when my brother suggested a camping trip I was ecstatic. We were told it would there would be no issue putting a tent and a small popup camper on a site. When we arrived to our "lakefront" site, there was barely room for the popup and car....

Loved the river sites. Hammock was key! Nice pool. We brought our own canoe and planted a car at the end of the route... We had kids so just did an hour ride. We also brought tubes and floated the length of the campsite. There were certain sites that had a beach.., they were nice for wading.

We love this campground... we go a couple times each summer/fall. We love the rec hall activities, the creek, rope swing, tubing, pool, etc. The kids just have a great time which means the parents can relax and enjoy themselves as well.

I wrote a glowing, five-star review of this place last year. I'm now writing another one, this time a one-star review. Why? Because when we arrived after an hour-and-a-half drive with a cooler full of raw burgers, we were told that there were to be absolutely not campfires for the weekend. Oh, and while we're at it, it hasn't rained...
