THE place to stay in Cape May. Beautifully maintained hotel and grounds. Also has a nice hotel restaurant (Blue Pig Tavern). Friendly staff. Our room and the hotel itself was impeccably clean. Covid protocols were clearly followed. Historic, old world charm! Within walking distance to key Cape May shops and restaurants.

We stayed 2 nights midweek at this lovely historic hotel. The staff was wonderful and room was clean and very comfortable. All covid safety precautions were enforced as promised including mandatory masks indoors. Location is excellent -right across the street from the ocean and a block from shopping area. The on-site Blue Pig Tavern was a favorite for breakfast and dinner. The grounds are spacious and the veranda and patios allowed for excellent social distancing and relaxing outdoors.

We recently stayed at Congress Hall and thoroughly enjoyed it. Their safety protocols for Covid were excellent- social distancing was followed and many windows were open in the main areas to allow for the flow of fresh air. Reservations were required at their restaurants/bar/lounge to ensure there weren't crowds. We even were able to sit at the bar in the Brown Room and have a few after dinner drinks. Keep in mind, however, due to NJ rules you are required to order food along with your drinks in the Brown Room. They had a decent selection of "light bites" to accompany our drinks. The Veranda was also open and had heat lamps-we spent several hours sitting in the rocking chairs enjoying the scenery. The hotel is very close to the shops - all were open. Although our stay was a little different than prior years due to Covid, we had a wonderful time and highly recommend coming to Congress Hall.
