I had researched The web regarding different places to stay and when I came across The Mason Cottage I immediately was interested. I booked out room on line and was not disappointed as it was exactly as described. It was like we had our own apartment. It came with a gas fireplace in the sitting room and the bedroom was... More

My wife and I stayed here for a night during the Christmas holiday. It is a beautiful bed and breakfast. We plan on coming back next year. Very nice room, with private bath, flat screen TV, and the breakfast was fantastic. We had fresh fruit, sausage links and quiche. The breakfast changes daily. Patty is wonderful and and makes your... This is our third stay, over the past five years, at The Mason Cottage. My husband and I have always heard how magical Cape May is at Christmastime and we weren't disappointed! The Mason Cottage was decorated beautifully for a Victorian Christmas, and as always Patty was the ultimate hostess. Not to be missed are the afternoon refreshments and the... More

This is the third visit for us at The Mason Cottage and each time has been great. The staff and accommodations are always top notch. Christmas time in Cape May is always fun. The breakfasts and afternoon tea are always delicious and the location couldn't be more convenient to all the things Cape May has to offer. Highly recommend The... More

The Mason Cottage provides many lovely rooms. The personnel are courteous . During the summer, however, the downstairs common area was not air conditioned and it was sweltering. There is a dining room for Breakfast but it could no be utilized because of the heat(even in the morning). Thankfully, there are several small tables on the wrap around porch. Bicycles... More

Dear Surferboy Maryland, Thank you for your recent review of the Mason Cottage. We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay in spite of the heat. While it is pretty rare that the heat gets so bad that the breeze doesn't naturally cool off the first floor of the house, it does happen. We will take your comments under consideration. Thank... We have now stayed at the Mason Cottage B&B twice and both times we have been extremely happy with everything. The rooms are great. We stayed on the second floor the first time in July and this past weekend we stayed on the third floor. The beds are terrific. My husband is 6 foot tall and in some places his... More

We stayed one night in this charming B&B which was built as a father and son summer cottage in Cape May. This explains the two staircases one for each family, which is quite amusing. Our room (Franklin) was very comfortable with the exception of the brightly lit red EXIT signs over two door ways that we had to cover with... More

Dear Candice F, Thank you for your kind response. We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay. I wish there was something to be done about the brightness of the Emergency Exit signs, however it is required by law to have all exits marked. November is my personal favorite time down here. Such a quiet magic that occurs in the off... More

I have stayed here quite a few times and it is a great B&B! It has the old world charm with new world style and personnel. The staff is great and courteous which is key at a bed and breakfast. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. And the location right down the block from the beach...can't beat it.... More

My wife and I visited Cape May for my cousins wedding - when we were planning our trip, we noticed that there were no typical chain hotels in town, so we decided to stay in a Bed and Breakfast. We had never been to one before so we had no idea what to expect. We usually stay at Westins so... More

We loved Cape May, which is a charming old fashioned sea side resort, and the B&B was in a perfect location. The furnishings were usual. We had a room with a separate sitting area, which we liked very much. (The Davis Room) However, breakfast and tea treats were disappointing. They were presented prettily, however, there were no muffins or other... More

Dear laurajo2011, Thank you for your feedback. As a fellow baker, I can certainly understand the disappointment in having “store bought” baked goods when the expectations are for homemade. With that said, I can assure you that everything you had while staying at the Mason Cottage was homemade. I will share that the cannoli’s and eclairs were in fact made... More
