Detailed Reviews
We have camped at Cape May KOA for a few years we keep coming back. This was our first time doing a rental.that included a loft. It was set up really neat with a living room with pull out couch and TV, dining table, fully equipped kitchen, full bathroom, full bedroom and a loft that included 2 single beds and there was certainly room to fit 2 or 3 more blow up air mattresses. There was a nice porch with a picnic table and fire ring. Our rental was very close to the lake you had a lake view out the loft window. We would certainly rent this unit again only thing is it gets hot in the loft would bring a fan air conditioning doesn't quite reach up there. Love the campground was a little sad no kayak rental due to co vid but its understandable just glad everything else was open.

This was the second KOA campground we visited since we are new to RVing. The sites do have some tree cover and it does have a woodsy beach vibe which is nice. Due to COVID restrictions, nothing was open. Nothing. No bathrooms, no lake, no pool, no playground, no store, no firewood, nothing. We are self contained so we were fine with all the closures but, it wasn’t a full KOA experience therefore this review is limited. The water pressure and electricity were great we had a 30 amp location with sewer and water. The wifi was weak, which is pretty much consistent with all campgrounds. It was a 5 mile bike ride to the closest beach which was nice. There is an excellent bike bath nearby which we really enjoyed. We always bring our own bikes when we camp so that we avoid renting.

Summary:
Would I stay here again, NO.
Would I recommend, NO.
Pros:
The 1 bedroom cabin(trailer) we rented was large spacious, new, and clean. It included, TV with Cable, bunk beds, small kitchenette, overall nice.
The amenities were adequate, and clean. The personnel we spoke with were nice enough.
Internet is paid $5.00 for 1 day, $10.00 for three days. Our connection was 2.71mbs download and .48 mbs upload. Better then nothing.
Cons:
I really didn't like the area where the rv's and cabins are, there are lots of broken down rv's it seems more like people are living here all year round because they can't afford to go live somewhere else.
Water really smells, I turned on the water and it smelled up the entire cabin.
They only give you one key for the cabin, which if you have more then one person staying in there causes problems.
The cabins are way too close together, I felt like I was in Staten Island.
Parking at the cabins is a problem, lack of space.
There is minimal outside space at the cabin as they have shoe horned in as many as they can.
Lake Laurie should be called "Pond Laurie" the pictures are deceiving.

I live 3 hours away from the KOA, and scheduled a trip on a Sunday, with wife and 2 kids, to come look at the campground and look at potential seasonal sites for the following year. The meeting was scheduled for 3 weeks, and we drove down to tour the location. When we arrived, the person at the front gate told me that the manager that I spoke with was away for a family emergency, which I can respect, but no one notified us. So I asked if anyone else could show up the property and the sites. He stated no, and would not let us in to see the property, even though we had a scheduled appointment to view the sites with the manager. 3 hours down to see the campground, and 3 hours home for nothing. Good news is that I found another 2 campgrounds just down the street, that were more than happy to let us visit their campground, even with no appointment. Honestly, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever seen. I am a KOA member, but if this is what I should expect, then maybe their membership program is not worth the costs.

Just returned from a long weekend with family. We all had a blast, including my pup! We camped in our 5th wheel on a large pull thru site with a concrete pad, fire ring, and picnic table. Each site has a spacious, well manicured lawn with a blooming cherry tree and abundant clean gravel. We had no issues leveling out. Our section appears to be fairly new but this place is big and has a variety of sites with mature trees as well as a large seasonal section, cabins, etc. Lots of options. This campground also has a large lake beach and a large BEAUTIFUL dog park. My dog absolutely loved it and so did I. Honestly can't say I've ever enjoyed a campground dog park before. Being chilly this early in the season we didn't use the lake but it looked crystal clear and inviting - not always the case at other campgrounds we've been to. Golf cart rental was great - no issues there. Every interaction with personnel was positive, from check in to check out. We also took our bikes and rode a lovely, nearby bike path. Great location with easy access to Cape May and Wildwood. Would gladly camp here, again, and certainly hope to in the future. Thank you, Sun Retreats Cape May Wildwood. :)

Went here on first day they opened for the year on April 1st. Got a deluxe cabin expecting deluxe amenities. I’ll start with the pros (short list): cabin was clean, has kitchen utensils, and close to both Wildwood & downtown Cape May.
The “deluxe” part is questionable though. Our cabin had no water when we checked-in until around 6:30pm. Cable tv wasn’t working throughout our entire stay. And wifi - forget about it. How it’s even called deluxe is beyond me. When I asked if the water problem would be fixed the day we checked in, i was told to just use the public bathrooms. On a pandemic. When the main reason we rented a cabin instead of a hotel room is to avoid public common areas. They had plenty of time to fix these problems before the season started but they rather have their guests discover the issues and report it to them. Definitely not going back.

This is our second and last stay in this campground. We used to love coming here when it was a KOA, but now that it’s changed owners it’s going downhill very quickly. This trip we were staying next to a group of people that had way more than 6 people on one site. They were loud all the time and had some of their stuff on our site (which our site was small to begin with). Our biggest issue was when they were all up talking and being loud until 1:30 am and had a light shining directly into our tent so we couldn’t sleep. We asked them to be quiet and they ignored us, so we called the person at the front gate. This man gave my fiancé such an attitude about coming over to encore the quiet time rule. We’ve had this same experience the last time we stayed here and the gate person also had an attitude about coming to tell another site to be quiet. They have a posted quiet time rule of 11pm, but definitely don’t enforce it.
The other issue with our stay is the bathrooms, they are severely outdated and may be “cleaned” but are always looking dirty. The toilets are stained yellow so you never know if someone didn’t flush or not. When your sitting on the toilet your head hits the door of the stall, which is quite claustrophobic. The showers are rusty, moldy and who knows what else.
The fact that they now charge you to lock in the site you reserve, and if you check in early is ridiculous. There is always an up charge for something outside of the nightly rate, which yes may be on the cheaper side but the value for the nightly rate is not there.

We had a nice time at this campground. They have a nice pool and hot tub. Some of the sites are a little tight but I was able to get in to our site with not much problem. The staff was really nice. It was a short drive to the beach and close to supermarket,Walmart, Lowes etc.We would stay again.
