We stayed for the two last weeks of july as a family. The WiFi was way better than any campground we've been at. You do have to re-sign in every 24 hours though or it'll kick you off. They're very dog friendly but we were a little disappointed that our pup couldn't join us at the beach. Reasoning to that was understandable. Their dog park was so cute! So many kids of all ages and the curfew of 11pm was respected. We rented a golf cart for 2 days (100$ per day). Their service was very quick and satisfactory, they're always so nice there. On the other hand, their bathrooms were dirty, our bathroom in the RV is too small so it was easier to shower in the given bathrooms but we've seen cleaner bathrooms. The rest was so so clean!

Property's Favorite Review
Just returned from a long weekend with family. We all had a blast, including my pup! We camped in our 5th wheel on a large pull thru site with a concrete pad, fire ring, and picnic table. Each site has a spacious, well manicured lawn with a blooming cherry tree and abundant clean gravel. We had no issues leveling out. Our section appears to be fairly new but this place is big and has a variety of sites with mature trees as well as a large seasonal section, cabins, etc. Lots of options. This campground also has a large lake beach and a large BEAUTIFUL dog park. My dog absolutely loved it and so did I. Honestly can't say I've ever enjoyed a campground dog park before. Being chilly this early in the season we didn't use the lake but it looked crystal clear and inviting - not always the case at other campgrounds we've been to. Golf cart rental was great - no issues there. Every interaction with personnel was positive, from check in to check out. We also took our bikes and rode a lovely, nearby bike path. Great location with easy access to Cape May and Wildwood. Would gladly camp here, again, and certainly hope to in the future. Thank you, Sun Retreats Cape May Wildwood. :)

I stayed in a "Deluxe 2 bedroom Cabin" - what a joke! The only positives were location to cape may and wildwood. Also the staff were very nice people. However, management was NG. Our cabin was clean but that was about it. Kitchen was supplied for the most part but the teflon frying pan was totally useless. Didn't want teflon in my food. The worst was the water. It SMELLED AWFUL! I was afraid to drink it. Had to boil water to make a cup of tea. Soda machine down the block did not work, so I could not even buy a bottle of water. There was pretty much NO WIFI...The giant TV's on the walls had only 3 channels! what a joke..why even have them! And to top it off, the sofa bed felt like a bed of nails..springs popping out..UNUSABLE....I paid for a cabin that sleeps six and was robbed of that..There were way more RV's here than cabins..Felt like a parking lot..no ambiance of great outdoors here..Only thing I liked was the fire pit outside ..and PS..if u want a guest to come by its 8 bucks for the day and 12 bucks if they stay over...ridiculous to me..DO NOT go here - stay at a motel instead..I paid $200 a nite for this...totally disappointed..

Went here on first day they opened for the year on April 1st. Got a deluxe cabin expecting deluxe amenities. I’ll start with the pros (short list): cabin was clean, has kitchen utensils, and close to both Wildwood & downtown Cape May. The “deluxe” part is questionable though. Our cabin had no water when we checked-in until around 6:30pm. Cable tv wasn’t working throughout our entire stay. And wifi - forget about it. How it’s even called deluxe is beyond me. When I asked if the water problem would be fixed the day we checked in, i was told to just use the public bathrooms. On a pandemic. When the main reason we rented a cabin instead of a hotel room is to avoid public common areas. They had plenty of time to fix these problems before the season started but they rather have their guests discover the issues and report it to them. Definitely not going back.

This was the second KOA campground we visited since we are new to RVing. The sites do have some tree cover and it does have a woodsy beach vibe which is nice. Due to COVID restrictions, nothing was open. Nothing. No bathrooms, no lake, no pool, no playground, no store, no firewood, nothing. We are self contained so we were fine with all the closures but, it wasn’t a full KOA experience therefore this review is limited. The water pressure and electricity were great we had a 30 amp location with sewer and water. The wifi was weak, which is pretty much consistent with all campgrounds. It was a 5 mile bike ride to the closest beach which was nice. There is an excellent bike bath nearby which we really enjoyed. We always bring our own bikes when we camp so that we avoid renting.

I live 3 hours away from the KOA, and scheduled a trip on a Sunday, with wife and 2 kids, to come look at the campground and look at potential seasonal sites for the following year. The meeting was scheduled for 3 weeks, and we drove down to tour the location. When we arrived, the person at the front gate told me that the manager that I spoke with was away for a family emergency, which I can respect, but no one notified us. So I asked if anyone else could show up the property and the sites. He stated no, and would not let us in to see the property, even though we had a scheduled appointment to view the sites with the manager. 3 hours down to see the campground, and 3 hours home for nothing. Good news is that I found another 2 campgrounds just down the street, that were more than happy to let us visit their campground, even with no appointment. Honestly, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever seen. I am a KOA member, but if this is what I should expect, then maybe their membership program is not worth the costs.

Booked this campground back in the spring with another friend who booked exactly the same exact time and day with me. When we called, we said we were camping with each other so that our sites could be next to each other. We booked the same site type. When we arrived, our friends were site 32, we were site 230. Our loop was no where close to our friends. When you camp with friends, you eat, cook and hand out with one another. Af the time of check in, we asked if we were next to or near our friends. The lady said we are quite far. I said we booked together. She claims their new computer system messed the sites . When we actually got to our site and physically saw how far apart we were I called the office. I spoke to a lady and she said people book a year out for their sites. I can tell you our neighbors did not and were not camping with another group. She took my number down to have the manager call me but he n ever did. I will never go back. VERY POOR CUSTOMER service. I have spent thousands of dollars camping at KOA's and this campground is by far the worst. So despite my review, if you still chose to camp here with other friends, plan on driving your food, drinks, games etc back n fourth. They will tell you you are together but they seriously could care less.

Good and VERY BAD... Campground itself is great however the manager TODD has to go! If they keep him around I wouldn't recommend going there. It's starts at the top and he is a very ignorant unprofessional man! We camp local all season n not our first time at this KOA. This time we stayed four nights with 6 families all having their own campers. We all loved the lake n sites. But at one point we all almost pulled out n left.. Because of TODD! He screamed in four of our girls face for breaking a rule of driving their parents golf cart while they were sleeping n only being 16yrs old. Sure they broke the rules but definitely should have been handled professionally n not screaming in their face. (TODD should have came to the mom in the am to address the issue after he made them park it tht night) The next day the mom said they can drive it to the bath house, TODD came back screaming at the mother in front of all the other adults and KIDS abt the girls driving again. She apologized n explained she was unaware of the night before. She assured it would not happen again. He was so rude, loud n ignorant but when he said I'm going to have to ask you to pack up and leave all of our mouths dropped! This was the FIRST time he spoke w her about the golf cart. she just said Umm ok... In shock as were all of us, both by the way he was acting and throwing her out. She said ok I understand we broke the rules n I will be out as soon as my husband gets back, he is out on the ocean on a fishing trip. TODD said "nope, sorry I don't know what to tell you, you have one hour or else I'll call the police to escort you." She was ok with leaving because her kids were wrong the night before n she also was in the wrong for allowing them to go to the bath house. But she couldn't pull the camper n he did not care one bit! A cpl friends went to the office to talk to him n he said he didn't know she was local n knew so many people in the community... Really! No excuse... U don't treat people like tht at all.. No matter where u are from or who u know! Only goes to show wht type of man he is! He told our friends this mom could go talk to him but he "needed 20 mins to calm down first!" She went and spoke w him n he asked a staff member to come be a witness to their conversation. Of course this mom apologized again n was ok w leaving. They broke the rules n their was consequences. He said no i want u to stay I didn't know u were local n knew all these people... Again...treat everyone the same regardless! He told her to chain her golf cart up because he didn't want anyone around thinking he gave in to her. Really! The 16 year old wrote a review on Yelp without her mom knowing and this mom while at the lake got a threatening voicemail from TODD telling her "to remove it immidiatley, he is leaving in one hour n will come find her at her site to ensure it was removed"! Remember this is supposed to be someone at the top! His acting so unprofessional and angry was unacceptable. There are other ways to speak to people and ask them to leave or address a problem. We all decided we will not be going back to this KOA as long as TODD is employed there! We also knew some seasonal people there and apparently we are not the only people w bad experiences with TODD! Mind u... The girls were properly reprimanded by thier parents for their wrong doing in all this. This is a great family and a lesson learned for these teenagers. KOA needs to look into this manager and take appropriate action.
