We stayed in the collage. The room was spacious. Everything worked to our satisfaction. Liked having the private porch. We ordered the Romance Package... the flowers were absolutely fabulous. My fiancé loves sunflowers, so she was very happy. It worked very well for beach, dining, winery, engagement photo, COVID protection and overall enjoyment. Hope to get back soon.

Ever since our first stay at the Bacchus Inn, we have returned every year and fall more in love with the b&b each time! This year, we were only able to do a short weekend trip to Cape May but John at the Bacchus Inn was very welcoming and accommodating. We typically stay in the Burgundy Room but this time tried the Peidmont Room which comes with a parking space! We enjoyed the comfortable King Size bed and all the accommodations the room offered. The Victorian period decor of the house and each room feels like a step back in time and adds to the quaintness and charm of the b&b. There were many sanitary protocols in place including sanitizing stations throughout the house and the requirement of wearing a mask throughout the house. We barely saw or interacted with other guests but when we did everyone was very respectful of the safety protocols and social distancing. John did not fail to provide the perk of the wine and cheese happy hour which we enjoy so much! Instead of having the food available in the main dining room, he delivered individual crates of wine, cheese, crackers, and dessert to each room! He also did the same with a delicious continental breakfast! It was so nice to be pampered and shows that the Bacchus Inn really cares about giving their guests the best quality stay and experience despite all the restrictions and challenges they are facing during the pandemic! We were once again so happy with our stay and recommend this charming, hospitable B&B to everyone!

My family had a wonderful stay at the Bacchus Inn! We spent two nights in two beautiful rooms (Rhone and Napa Valley), which were very cozy and nicely decorated with antique furniture. The Rhone Room, in particular has a very large bathroom, which was really nice. Napa Valley offers a nice view of Columbia Avenue. Breakfast and afternoon wine and treats were brought outside of our rooms in baskets, with very cute red and white checked coverings. We really enjoyed the treats offered with wine, and the wine was very good! The location was great, on Columbia Avenue, only a few blocks from the Washington Street mall and beach. This is a great spot to be in the heart of Cape May. John, the owner, was wonderful and very friendly! He always took time to stop and chat with us each time we saw him. We loved sitting on the porch and enjoyed the rocking chairs and the view. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer! A+ :-)

My wife and I stayed here for our 35th wedding anniversary, as sort of a last minute getaway due to CV-19. I was pleasantly surprised to find such a quality B&B at a great rate for our 3 nights. We were in the Piedmont room, which is on the 2nd floor at the back of this 1872 property. Since this was somewhat last minute, I had corresponded with John, the owner, via email with some questions. He was prompt and professional in his quick replies. Due to CV-19, they are prepared with social distancing, mask wearing while inside (not in your room though) and made picnic type breakfast baskets (coffee, fruit, muffins, juice, etc.) available each morning with a choice of a couple of different times. In addition, they also offer a very nice afternoon basket that included wine, cheeses, meats, olives, cookies, which helped to tide us over until dinner. We brought our bikes down with us and there is a nice bike rack on the side of the B&B where you can put them. Based on your room selection, you may get to park on the premises, which we did. This is a big plus as parking in and around the Columbia Avenue area is quite difficult. We look forward to staying here again as I hear regular/non-CV19 breakfast is outstanding. Thanks John and thanks also for the bottle of bubbly that we enjoyed on your wonderful porch.

Had such a great experience at the Bacchus Inn. John is a great host, we were given great picnic baskets full of goodies for happy hour and breakfast (instead of group activity). Room was great and location was fantastic. House was quiet and front porch was great to sit outside and relax with a drink. We’ll definitely be back.
