We recently returned from our third trip to Sun Retreats Seashore where we stay in a vacation rental. We find the rental to be just right for us - it is equipped with all that you need! Our children look forward to biking around the grounds to the various playgrounds and basketball courts! We especially love the lake and water slides - we could float all day! We like to change it up and go for a dip in the pool too! An added bonus is G&P grill, which has a great variety of food and we LOVE to head up for ice cream at night and follow it up with a round of mini golf! The location to downtown Cape May and Wildwood is perfect -Already counting the days to next summer!

Property's Favorite Review
We enjoyed our stay at this campground. Sites were clean, well maintained and all hookups worked well. Cable TV and Wifi good. Staff friendly and helpful. Good amenities and activities, especially liked the 9 hole mini golf course. Laundry worked fine. Would have given 5 stars, but the dryers were a bit expensive--only one option of $3.75 for 42 minutes. And it's pretty far from the town and beaches. Otherwise good. Would return.

Sun Retreats is a great place to spend time with the family enjoying the summer. The facility is extremely well organized and run well by friendly and welcoming staff. Our cabin was immaculate and quiet enough at night to hear a pin drop. Travel to the beaches was easy, convenient, and fun filled. I would strongly recommend this resort and was sorry we had to leave. See you next year!

Although our camping trip was to the famous "Jersey Shore," our kids did not want to leave this resort. They pointed out that the on-resort lake had a beach too! The only thing we would ask the resort to improve is to add a dish washing station at the washrooms.

I stayed in a tent sight last September. After needing to do some cleaning in the restroom myself, I reported to the front desk about how disgusting it was. I brought them in and even followed the cleaning ladies in to ask them what they used to clean. They do not use any kind of bleach and I didn't see any soap. I went to a local store and bought some bleach so I could take a shower. I also bought a plastic table cloth in order to step onto the filthy floor. The building itself is so old that the corrosion on the toilets, sink and showers is bad enough, but the filth from lack of proper cleaning. The dirt is smeared all over rather than cleaned. I wrote to the owner and sent all the pictures that I took. He assured me that the building was going to be replaced and in the meantime, he would be sure that the restrooms would be cleaned properly. I went there again last week to check it out and nothing has improved. The cleaning standards are just horrible. I again contacted the same owner and was told he would look into it. Good luck to anyone who is planning to stay!!

We’ve been coming to Seashore every year for the last 11 years. The last couple years we’ve noticed the park degrading. The trees and shrubs are overgrown and the paved sites are full of ruts and depressions from RV tires and levelers. Even with that we still prefer this campground because of its proximity to the beach and the office staff is always helpful and very nice. However this last trip, we’re still in the campground as I type this, the WiFi is virtually unusable. Constant interruptions and at times a complete failure to log on. The sites are not cleaned after each camper leaves, we had garbage in the fire pit and an old carpet left at the site. You have to watch your unit as you pull in as there is low hung branches and shrubs hanging into the the site. We’ve booked for next year, but before we leave this week we’ll stop in the office to express our concerns. Hopefully things will improve for 2022 if enough campers express their concerns.

This is not the type of camping I enjoy. If you enjoy a ton of activities, people, traffic, golf carts, kids on bikes, many long-term camps, and a general busy atmosphere this is your campground. This is place is not peaceful, calm, or relaxing. It is busy 24 hours a day. The golf carts are a menace and make coming and going hectic. The bathrooms are surprisingly clean for the amount of foot traffic, however many showers were broken. The camper sites are really packed, barely any room to even sit around a fire. We sat around the fire one night to eat dinner and compared it to sitting on the side of the PA turnpike to eat dinner. The tent camp sites are relatively quiet and in a less crazy section. The pool area and sandy Beach were very nice, although the water slides were closed for our entire 4 night stay. The office was very attentive. The previous tenants left dog poop in the fire ring and the office sent out someone promptly to take care of it.

Although the park was quite empty, and there were many open spaces, they assigned us to park our 40-foot RV in a very crowded space right next to another camper and between trees close to our space. Because the park was so empty, their voltage was too high for our home (we have an on-board surge protector.) Although they had the power company come out, there was nothing the power company or the resort could do to reduce the 249-252 voltage in a 50-amp circuit. Bottom line, we had no power the entire time we were there. We tried running our generator, but that bothered the camper next door. The resort tried to find another campsite, but all of the ones they tried also had the voltage at too high a level for our surge protector. They said when park is full, there is so much draw on the electricity, that the voltage is lower. On a positive note, the laundry facility and showers were clean and well-maintained. The park itself is lovely and in a good location, although we could not get into town without a car. There were no rentals available and we don’t use Uber. It was a short drive to the Cape May-Lewes ferry. Very unhappy with stay, overall, but in another time and situation it might have been good.

Stayed in our 24ft travel trailer just last week with our friends who have their own 27ft trailer as well. From day 1 we knew we would be returning campers! Had 2 sites right next to each other. Great paved sites with plenty of space between all neighbors. The lake is great and the staff does an excellent job if setting up beach social distancing. The gounds are huge and clean. Everyone one we encountered vacationing were real nice as well as all the staff. Store has a huge selection, they offer free mini golf, sell firewood, ice and propane. You are only 10 min from the Cape May beach and town square, 5 from 2 great breweries and 20 min from the zoo. We are already planning our return in 2021!!

I wanted a quiet getaway and it was anything but. The spaces were tight and close together. People were up and making noise after quiet time which was 11pm. Kids were riding their bikes recklessly and wouldn't move as you drove into park. A few kids almost hit me. You have to pay for water to take a shower and wash your hands after using the toilet. Since this was during Covid there was no social distancing. Nobody was wearing masks while they were in groups outside. Although all the employees wore masks indoors, they allowed people to come in the office and just put their t-shirt over their face for a covering. The employees blamed SunRvResorts when I asked why they aren't enforcing the rules. When I pay $92 a night, I should't have to pay for water.
