Everything was in order for safety, health and comfort. Breakfast was served socially distanced either in the dining room, living room or on the porch. Towels to be replaced were left in a plastic bag outside the door.
This years annual girls getaway to Cape May brought on a brand new B&B for us, as the one we have stayed in for years retired last year. On recommendation from that Inn keeper we tried the Henry Sawyer Inn. We were not disappointed. Although we did not get to personally meet Barbara the Inn Keeper, I did speak to her on the phone several times.Very accompadating, professional and just lovely to talk to. Nicki and Frank were so nice and cheerful. Frank is a great talker. Thank you all for working with my food allergies. The breakfast and snacks were delicious. Girls get away has found its new B&B. See you next year!
The house is a beautiful oasis. The breakfasts are sumptuous. The location is excellent, not far from the Washington Street Mall. The owner, Barbara, is a very caring and thoughtful individual, and a great host, very accommodating. The walk to the beach was a couple of blocks away. It was our second time staying at the Henry Sawyer B&B. There was a parking pad right behind the house. I highly recommend this lovely home.
My daughter and I just returned from an overnight at this lovely Inn. Can't recommend it enough! Barbara is a gracious and generous host and the Inn itself is warm and inviting with a lovely porch that overlooks this quiet tree lined street. Enjoyed sitting for a spell on the porch's cushioned chairs, reading my book, and watching the horse-drawn carriages go by, while sipping a glass of wine that is provided in the afternoon, along with an assortment of delicious pastries and other beverages. The rooms are lovely and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was amazing with fresh fruit, delicious homemade muffins, freshly cooked eggs and french toast...and more! Everything scrumptious! Beach towels, chairs and umbrellas are provided if needed and there is an outdoor shower for when you come back from the beach, which is within walking distance. In fact, the Inn is perfectly situated..you can walk to the popular Washington Street mall and a plethora of restaurants. Barbara goes the extra mile to help all her guests and made us feel welcomed and cared-for throughout our visit. We left with wonderful memories of our mother-daughter getaway to Cape May!…
First of all, Barbara is an exceptional host and has made us feel welcome every time we stay. The inn is tranquil and located on a lovely street. The Friday night buffet and breakfasts associated with the Mystery Weekend are always delicious. Frank, who runs the mystery, also makes the desserts which are always delicious. They also pay attention to any food allergies one may have. The weekend is interactive. The guests are assigned roles and given information about their character. It is your job to figure out who the murderer is. It is a lot of fun. There is also enough time to enjoy Cape May and to see sights such as the Physick Estate or the Concrete Ship at Sunset Beach. We have also been to the Cape May Zoo in the spare time. All in all, it is a great experience.
