There is nothing better than a vacation at the Henry Sawyer Inn! Barbara is terrific and makes us feel like one of the family. The rooms add that Victorian charm. The breakfasts and afternoon snacks are delicious. It's the perfect location --- between the beach and the mall and within walking distance to just about everything Cape May has to... More

Another perfect stay at this beautiful, comfortable, and impeccably clean Inn! Our Innkeeper, Barbara, and her wonderful and friendly staff, make sure that all of our needs are met with expressed warmth and hospitality. Breakfasts and afternoon snacks are exceptional, and we enjoy chatting with the many guests, who like us, have been staying at the Henry Sawyer for many... More

We only had Saturday night and wanted to come to Cape May. Impossible, I know. I called the hotline and was referred to Henry Sawyer Inn. What a great find! Great hostess, great rooms - clean, roomy, beautiful great room. You get beach towels, umbrellas, chairs, mini fridge, water, shampoo. We got there and she had set out wine, coffee,... More

We stayed in the Harriet Sawyer Suite, formerly the attic. Caution: if you are over-tall or over-wide, you may have problems with this suite. The edges of the rooms get short quickly, so you may feel like you're about to hit your head (I was fine, but I'm a former submariner so I just kept my head down near the... More

My wife truly did her homework in finding the Henry Sawyer Inn for our 2 night stay in Cape May. What was there not to like? The inn was extremely tastefully decorated with period furniture etc. giving it a true 19th century ambiance. It's location could not have been better as everything was within walking distance. Barbara, the innkeeper, could... More

Went here for a Murder Mystery weekend. There were 16 people who participated in the Murder Mystery run by a retired Philadelphia detective. Excellent preparation on his part and it was great fun. You really got to use your skills of deduction. We had so much fun that the entire group decided to get together next year and have another... More

We've been here twice in the past year. Last November we took part in a murder mystery weekend and had a lot of fun. My wife won a prize which turned out to be a free night at the inn. We redeemed that last week and again enjoyed ourselves. The inn provides complimentary wine at night and, of course, breakfast,... More

Barbara is the perfect hostess -- from wonderful conversation and recommendations to terrific breakfasts and afternoon snacks! The Henry Sawyer Inn offers an excellent location between the beach and the mall area. Relax on the porch and enjoy the horse and buggies clip clopping by.

We ended up at the Henry Sawyer Inn due to a booking error. We booked across the street and our reservation was lost so the inn keeper made a phone call and thru some luck we ended up where we did. It was great! Due to a cancellation we got the top floor of the house which was a 2... More

We visited Cape May on Memorial Day weekend and joined two other family members at the Henry Sawyer Inn. As my sister-in-law said, 'How could you come to Cape May and not stay in a Victorian?' The innkeeper, Barbara, is quiet. but incredibly accommodating. Besides a wonderful breakfast each morning, she packed us a little bag of treats to start... More
