The Inn is great overall. Our room was very outdated with stained carpet, but it did have a great view of the beach (we had the top front corner room overlooking the ocean on both sides. The restaurant was good and we enjoyed dinner. Pool was small but adequate.

The day started really bad in Atlantic City early Monday. We had arrived at our hotel, selected using Priceline's 'Select your death trap Express' feature. Promised a four star experience site unseen we instead received a property that the stars set on long ago. We wouldn't stay and it was pay at reservation. The money was lost...and nearly our hope... Tough place for a family with small kids. We were on the 5th floor city side. Elevator is operated by staff only, and it's tiny. Most of the time we walked up and down the stairs. Room was pretty small. Clean, but very small to stay for a week. No kitchenette, tiny shower, tiny bathroom. Futon was pretty rickety. Pool... More

The Inn of Cape May is a beautiful beachfront hotel with an awesome view of the Atlantic Ocean. We choose to be served inside, but, service can be had outside as well. The décor is elegant and rakes with Victorian charm that matches the hotel. The food was very good at a fair price. Cocktails were made to perfection. After... More

As big fans and writers of a daily blog on historicgrandhotels, this is our choice as the most beautiful of the genre in New Jersey. It is breathtakingly Victorian, inside and out just across from New Jersey's southernmost beach (on Delaware Bay). It is a white, elegant, architectfully gorgeous edifice with equally beautiful interiors. It features a good, very scenic... More

The Inn was very beautiful and for 110 years old I guess it was okay. It only had one closet size elevator operated by staff only. We were on the third floor and I needed to use the elevator frequently. The floors were very uneven and the water pressure in our bathroom was dreadful. I gave up washing my hair... More

Enquired here after an unsatisfactory night at another Cape May hotel, and were offered a large recently redecorated room with a sea view on the second floor (room 16), at a realistic rate. Found the room comfortable and very quiet, and we enjoyed lunch and breakfast, food and service and staff were all very good.

We have stayed at the Inn of Cape May numerous times. It is a very eclectic hotel housing many antiques and unusual paintings. Over the years there have been changes like taking a lot of the clutter our of the lobby. The staff has been consistent over the years and always pleasant and helpful. We have stayed in many rooms... I have one word to describe this Inn, "Awesome". We were just there for a wedding. The room was clean, beautiful and overlooked the ocean. Check in was fast and easy ,thanks to Regina. Proprietor Beth , was always available to answer questions about the Inn. Oh, and the Antiques are everywhere! there is a bar and restaurant Aleathea's at the... More

We had the pleasure of staying at this historic Inn for a wedding weekend in September. The location could not have been better as it is centrally located and within walking distance of some of Cape May's best shopping. It is also just steps away from the beach and Convention Hall. The Inn itself is quirky, as it is over... More
