A nice old Victorian Inn. Lots of charm. Great for families. They have a bar and restaurant, a pool, and it's in a great location right across from the beach! This is old Cape May as it always was, not a newly redecorated boutique hotel. Relax on the porch in a rocking chair or by the pool. Casual attire. Family... More

We spent two nights at this wonderful Victorian inn. We felt as if we stepped back in time but still enjoyed modern amenities like air conditioning, wifi, and a flat screen tv. The inn is perfectly located across the street from the beach and promenade and is only a short walk to the lovely shops and restaurants in the historic... More

My wife and I just returned home from staying at the Inn of Cape May for three nights. I would have given it 3.5 stars but rounded to 4. Positives: The location is perfect. The Inn sits on the corner of Beach and Ocean Avenues so it's just fifty feet from the beach. The cost of the room also comes... More

If you are looking for an old Victorian right across from the beach, this is your spot. We were on the fourth floor and had to use the stairs all day, each day, which definitely got your legs a workout in. They have one elevator, which was one of the first in the state, but you need to ring a... More

We have been coming to the Inn for many years. You can find all types of rooms from small to suites. True, the elevator is small but climbing a few steps won't kill you. The free breakfast with your accommodations is a bonus. You must remember that the Inn is over a 100 years old therefore there is an issue... More

It is unfortunate that I write this review because I was there twice, the first being a wonderful experience (7/22) and the second (7/23) being the definitive reason for my rating. Why? A RACIST SERVER who works the porch of the Alethea Restaurant section. She will only serve you if you are White. Don't go if you are Black or... More

The Inn is great overall. Our room was very outdated with stained carpet, but it did have a great view of the beach (we had the top front corner room overlooking the ocean on both sides. The restaurant was good and we enjoyed dinner. Pool was small but adequate.

The day started really bad in Atlantic City early Monday. We had arrived at our hotel, selected using Priceline's 'Select your death trap Express' feature. Promised a four star experience site unseen we instead received a property that the stars set on long ago. We wouldn't stay and it was pay at reservation. The money was lost...and nearly our hope... Tough place for a family with small kids. We were on the 5th floor city side. Elevator is operated by staff only, and it's tiny. Most of the time we walked up and down the stairs. Room was pretty small. Clean, but very small to stay for a week. No kitchenette, tiny shower, tiny bathroom. Futon was pretty rickety. Pool... More

The Inn of Cape May is a beautiful beachfront hotel with an awesome view of the Atlantic Ocean. We choose to be served inside, but, service can be had outside as well. The décor is elegant and rakes with Victorian charm that matches the hotel. The food was very good at a fair price. Cocktails were made to perfection. After... More
