We stayed at this property ten years ago and had a wonderful time. We were so disappointed at its current condition. It seems like nothing has been maintained and the hotel has deteriorated with age. On top of that, housekeeping staff is in need of some serious training. Our room was not clean. Until this property is restored to its... More

The Inn of Cape May is an 1892 Victorian-era luxury hotel. Built in the days long before air-conditioning, people went to the shore back then for the ocean breezes. The rooms are nice and with great views. They’ve been modernized to some extent (bathrooms and electricity have been installed) but the old wooden floors still creak – a nice touch.... More

Stopped in for lunch in mid October - staff is friendly - menu was reasonably priced with many offerings. Food was delicious - we had salmon and crab cake. Both were delicious - salads are creative. Rocking chairs on porch are a dream - to watch the beautiful ocean view!

As others have said, this was a grand hotel in the day but it really needs lots of TLC to get back to what it was. Plaster peeling from our ceiling. Shower stall is coming apart and in need of replacement / dirty. Ceiling fan clogged with dust and dirt. Air conditioner was not working in room. Carpet was sticky.... More

We had a great time at the Inn. The rooms are older but the location is great. You can walk to almost anything, the beach is across the street. Our room was #1 and was smaller but a great king bed, nice size bathroom and closet. There was a little porch outside our hallway with some wicker chairs that you... More

We have stayed at the Inn of Cape May a number of times, most recently this past weekend. We love the location and the old world ambiance. The food at the on-site restaurant Aleathea's is among the best in Cape May. We love sitting on the wrap around porch, the staff is great, I can't say enough good things. This... More

This was my wife's birthday trip to Cape May, This hotel is over 100 + years old, rooms are quaint, very clean and we really enjoyed our two day stay. We booked a package that gave us $80 gift card for use in the hotel, and also included breakfast for two. Located one street from the beach is also very... More

If you're looking for a modern hotel, this is not the place for you. But if you're ok with old carpeting and relatively small rooms, then you can't go wrong here. First, you're literally across the street from the beach. Hello. Second, the bar service is great, with very friendly bartenders. Third, the breakfast menu has everything you could want,... More

Awesome historical hotel with beautiful antiques throughout. Clean, large rooms. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant, has three areas to enjoy the outstanding meals. The only issue with the hotel is there is only one elevator which is not self serving and must run by hotel staff and not always readily available.

I just spent a long weekend here with my wife and 18 month old son. I've been to Cape May many times as a kid and adult so I've stayed at many places in town. This was my first and last stay at The Inn of Cape May. This hotel is obviously in an awesome location and the old vibe... More
