How lucky were we to spend another fantastic week at Inn at the Park. Exactly one year since our last stay, when we found a window of time to travel, we contacted Susan and she was able to accommodate us upstairs in the Captain's Quarters. A delayed arrival caused us to miss breakfast, (always a treat,) but as soon as we came up the steps to the porch and opened the front door, Bonnie greeted us with: " Are you guys hungry?" A delicious quiche and french bread toast was served and thus began a great week. To keep guests safe, Susan and Carl Spatocco have made every effort to follow social distancing, cleanliness and face covering guidelines while insuring that the home-like atmosphere of their beautiful Inn remained intact. Their 1893 Victorian home, with meaningful updates and ongoing renovations done throughout the years, has maintained its historical significance while offering space and comfort to its guests. The 3 guestrooms in the main house are lovely, and two out of the three offer space for an extra guest if necessary We were very excited to stay in the Captain's Quarters. The King bed was fantastic (NOTE: the mattresses in the Lighthouse and Captain's Quarters offer a perfect night's sleep.) The shower, claw tub and tiny balconies were a lovely touch. Rooms are clean and well-kept, and breakfast was always delicious accompanied by a morning smoothie. Each evening, a saran-wrapped plate for each room waited for us after dinner with a baked dessert with fresh fruit and peanut butter from the Innkeepers' own Cape May Peanut Butter Company. Carl was happy to share a morning talk on a rainy day about the Inn and told stories about the various clocks, bill of sale and instruments in the dining area and main sitting room. He even gave us a mini-concert playing a Billy Joel tune on the player piano. Everything needed for the beach was available at no charge: beach tags, towels, chairs, umbrellas, bikes and helmets and games for the sand. If you wanted, you could walk to the beach from the Inn as long as you didn't have to carry too much. Recommendations for outdoor dining were made upon request and we found ourselves this year eating at establishments that were recommended by Susan and Carl vs sticking with our "old favorites." We enjoyed them all (Sapore Italiano, Viggiano's 410 Bank, and the Lobster House.) The Beach Plum Farm Harvest Dinner was sold out and many restaurants were first come-first served or takeout only due to Covid restrictions. We appreciated the BYOB offerings. Because of our delayed arrival, and our desire to stay at the beach, Susan was able to provide a one night's stay in one of her cottage rooms. Lots of work has been done to this area of the house. Originally unattached to the house, the cottage was first horse stables, then garages, then an indoor porch and eventually renovated and connected to the main home and made into guest rooms. Each cottage room is named for one of Susan and Carl's daughters and we loved Samantha Ann! Our double shower with two corner seats was perfect after the beach Susan's knack for linens and room decor was top notch. On our last night, we brought back food from Sapore Italiano and ate at a picnic table in front of the Inn. When Carl saw us about to open our tins and plastic utensils, he offered us plates, silverware and wine to complement our salad, pasta and bread. Favorite breakfasts: spinach quiche and toast, pancakes, bacon and a peanut better/banana smoothie, western omelette with cheese and sausage, and mouthwatering thick fresh blueberry crumb French toast. In addition to 4 years of maintaining the loveliest Inn, Susan and Carl are talented entrepreneurs. They own Cape May Peanut Butter Co., Cape May Olive Oil Co., and Spice Cellar of Cape May all on on Carpenter's Lane in Cape May. We've not stopped eating our jar of peanut butter and chocolate. Thank you Susan and Carl! We will return next year for hopefully a longer stay!

Believe the rating and reviews, Inn at the Park is all that. We’ve also stayed at many B&B’s, throughout NJ, this place stands above. Location is perfect, bikes, beach accessories, spotless rooms, snacks/water/coffee available all day, rock in the shade, swing in the sun or rest in the comfy, well appointed rooms (we stayed in the cottage). Loved the Tommy B bath towels and every detail included in our room. Air conditioning was great throughout the room and main areas. Carl and Susan felt like friends within 5 minutes of meeting. We are planning our 2021 stay.

This B&B is so delightful! A lovely place to stay for vacation. The main house is charming throughout. The cottages are adorable. It is a 5 star B&B! The absolute best part of your experience staying here will be having the opportunity to meet Susan and Carl. They are hands down the best hosts you could ever meet. They go out of their way to make you feel home - like you are a family member. I have stayed at many bed and breakfasts from Middleburg VA, in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. The Inn at the Park is my favorite! If you stay here, you are in for a treat!

We had a lovely stay at the Inn at the Park. The hosts, Susan and Carl, are very welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the bikes and the beach chairs. We stayed in the Captain’s Quarters, perfectly clean and nice. The fridge in the room is helpful. We opted for curbside pickup for our dinners as only outside seating is open at restaurants because of Covid-19. Susan set us up with plates and glasses in the inn’s dining room. We really appreciated the helpfulness.

If your looking for a bed and breakfast in Cape May Inn at the Park should be your top choice! My sister and I recently spent the weekend there for our annual Christmas luncheon with our Aunt who lives in Cape May County Courthouse, and for all the wonderful activities going on in this lovely sea side town during the month of December. Let me tell you, this community knows how to celebrate Christmas! From the Candlelight Victorian Home tour, the Christmas Craft show at the convention center, the Tree Lightning Ceremony at the town square, and the Christmas Parade it will put you in the Christmas Spirit faster than Christmas cookies coming out of the oven! But what made this trip truly so special were the Innkeepers, Susan and Carl Spatocco. Since Thanksgiving fell late this year the Christmas Parade fell a week later as well. Normally they close the Inn for that weekend and have family into town for the Christmas Parade, something locals look forward to every year. When they realized we had booked a room before they could block it out they chose to allow us to come anyway. Not only did they allow us to come but they invited us to join the annual after parade dinner celebration with there family!!! Stromboli, meatballs, pasta, salads, breads. A traditional Italian meal and fellowship with the nicest family ever! They went beyond showing us good hospitality, they embodied every facet of the Christmas Spirit. If you want to spend a weekend feeling like your part of an extended family, warm, welcoming and relaxing... this is the place to go. Thank-you Susan and Carl for making us feel so welcome, it truly was the best Christmas gift ever 🎁🎄🎅🥰
