Been staying for many years. We love the inn but the complimentary wine and cheese for guests is identical and the same offering to what they have serving for years. Please consider mixing it up a little bit so multi day guests can have something different from one day to the next

We have stayed in three different rooms at the PSI and enjoyed each one. The mattresses are unbeatable. The linens high quality, and the rooms very clean. The staff pleasant and helpful. We had a delicious dinner during our April stay. It was such a pleasure retreating to our comfy room and turning on the fireplace after dinner. For the first time we had breakfast, and it was excellent. This raises an issue, and hence the 4 instead of 5 stars. We are early risers, and having to wait until 8:30 for breakfast is a stretch. And for those of us wanting to get on the road earlier breakfast options would be appreciated. Another reason for the 4 stars - an inn of this caliber should have morning self-serve coffee. Not that I mind the Keurig set-up but fresh coffee from a dispenser would be preferable.…

We celebrated our anniversary by staying at this lovely inn and had a wonderful time - so glad we stayed here! Our room was comfortable and we enjoyed the gas fireplace when it got cooler in the evening. Everyone we met who worked there was professional, friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed the happy hour and breakfast and had a delicious dinner at the PS restaurant. We made good use of the bikes that are provided to explore the area and then relaxed on the beautiful front porch. We highly recommend the PSI to couples looking for a relaxing getaway! We can’t wait to go back!

Peter Shield is just a very beautiful Inn. We were on the second floor...Had our own little back deck. Bathroom was very big and very clean. Bed was comfortable and ocean was across the street. Morning breakfast was great (service was excellent) and afternoon wine and cheese a nice touch. Your room key got us two chairs and a beach umbrella across the street. (Should have included beach passes) My only complaint is they raised the prices a lot since the pandemic. Definitely upscale.

This is our first time staying at PSI, we came with long time friends, beautiful place and very friendly staff. Rooms are very clean, the Inn is very clean. Sitting on the porch enjoying the ocean breeze was relaxing. We met some wonderful people who were also staying at the Inn. We ate dinner the first night there, wow very good food and an excellent wait staff. I am someone who can find something wrong with something, however, I can not say anything wrong. It was a perfect 3 day getaway. We will return next year.

We have stayed here several times over the years during different seasons of the year and enjoyed every visit. With COVID-19 there were some different rules this visit, but it was all still very enjoyable. We will surely return in the future.

PSI is a wonderful place to eat. The food is perfectly prepared and the atmosphere is outstanding. Sits on property overlooking the ocean. It is BYOB so bring your favorite wine. They do offer wine from a local winery.

My wife and I dined for our anniversary at the beginning of the month and as usual it was amazing from start to finish. Dotty (our server) was was the best, informative, attentive and gracious. Course after course the food just kept getting better. Would highly recommend for a special occasion or even just to treat yourselves...you wont be disappointed.

After my daughter returned from her elopement we met at Peter Shields Inn. The service was amazing, our wait staff leader was AJ. AJ made sure that the biggest details, the champagne toast for the parents of the bride were all timed and executed perfectly. He also made sure the cake was presented, cut and served elegantly. Our food was timely and perfect. It was hit, prepared excellently and brought to the table all at once so that no one had cold food while waiting for everyone to be served. AJ made sure the wine was served and glasses were kept full, maybe a little too full for some? Hah It was a wedding! I can't say enough about Peter Shield Inn for a special occasion, you may not get to have AJ serve you, but you can ask!!!

Had a delicious dinner with family at the Peter Shields Inn which was highly recommended by everyone we asked. The food was delicious and the portions were just right. The attentiveness of our server was the only disappointment of the evening. He opened our wine but never returned to pour it. We had two bottles and served ourselves. That is not what we expect from a fine dining restaurant.
