I don't understand why there's no love on here for Cliveden. Been coming here for over 10 years and it's always my go-to place. Yeah, I know there's no dining room, but I love that you can eat on the porch (I'm not the communal table type person!). It's super clean, there's bikes, perfect location, beach chairs/towels, nice hosts who... More

We really enjoyed our stay. Yes, there are small issues and the inn could use some updating. However, the location to the beach and Washington Street Mall were perfect for us. Parking can be a bit of an issue no matter where you stay in Cape May. We generally walk everywhere we go, so that takes care of the parking... More

We stayed over this Memorial Day weekend: as a family of 4 in 2 rooms. There is no assigned parking and you are not allowed to park in the long driveway. There are 2 spots in front of the house but they were always taken by guests of the Inn next door. The Inn looks nice from outside but smelled... More

Pros: 1. The owners were lovely to deal with and very professional. 2. The room was pretty spacious, on the first floor and doors leading to the wrap-around porch. The bathroom was also spacious. 3. The location was close to the beach and a short walk to the mall. Cons: 1. The room needed a bit of an update. While... More

Spent last weekend at the Cliveden Inn with friends. Sue and her staff always make you feel at home. The Cliveden is so perfectly located. Walking distance to the beach, mall and dining. Rooms are always neat and clean. There are bikes, badges and beach chairs for you to enjoy. Breakfast and afternoon tea are delicious. Love sitting on the... More

Stayed 2 nights in upstairs room for a girls weekend. Worked out wonderful. The location was perfect, the availability of bikes, beach towels, chairs and a cart was awesome. Breakfast was very nice and we enjoyed eating on the porch. Only negative was the timing of coffee and breakfast. We are early risers and coffee was not served until 8:30.... More

The Cliveden Inn was a very nice stay for our family. We stayed in room #4. Heard reviews about the hard beds but we all slept fine on these. We really enjoyed the morning breakfasts. Good food and fresh coffee. We really loved the use of the bicycles and bike locks. We didn't drive hardly at all because of the... More

Booked this B&B sight unseen when a nearby place that was booked completely recommended it. It allowed 1 night stay and had vacancies on "no notice" even though very small. I was happy to arrive early and they were gracious enough to allow me to use the room immediately. It was on the second floor and had two "rooms" to... More

We spent two nights at The Cliveden last weekend. We had a ground floor room which smelled heavily of air freshener trying to mask the musty odor of the first floor. The room and bed were large and comfortable, but the bathroom lacked in amenities and the claw-foot tub with shower lacked any bar or handle to grip to enter... More

We reserved this B&B primarily because it was close to the beach and didn't require a 3+ day stay. The house was pretty, rooms were clean and hostesses very nice. But breakfast was a bit of a disappointment (buffet, no dining room and very limited selection), hence the Average review.
