This is the first time we stayed at the Carroll Villa in Cape May, NJ.....and we had the best time ever! My husband and I came along with our daughter, son-in-law and 9 1/2 month old grandson...we would definitely stay here again. The rooms were perfect, hotel staff were wonderful. As far as the Mad Batter Restuarant.....the BEST breakfast's around!!... More

If you're considering a long weekend at The Carroll Villa, make your reservations now. We didn't think we could get a room but they had a Sunday night open and we took the room with the balcony overlooking Jackson Ave. It was spacious, well appointed with rows of flowers on the balcony for privacy. Mark & Pam are the owners... More

Staff was very friendly. We stayed in room 19. Full size bed is kind of small but the room was very clean. I would stay here again if I made it back down to Cape May. The Mad Hatter was good for breakfast, I did not eat here for dinner but it was always busy so it must be good... More

Location is key. A block from the beach and a block from the promenade. After a $35 one minute overtime parking ticket, (beware), We parked the car in the complimentary lot which was a bit of a hike. But we never had to go back to get it during our stay everything was within a 3 block walk on streets... More

We had a wonderful 2 night stay here. Our room #21 was nicely decorated, clean with our own bathroom. You have to love the old victorian charm to appreciate it. Our side windows gave us a glimpse of the ocean. Staff was friendly and the breakfast at the Mad Batter was phenomenal. You will receive a $30 gift card towards... More

I have never been to Cape May before...even though I am a Jersey Girl. All my friends told me you have to go, so we did . We spent 5 wonderful days at the Carroll Villa. From the minute we arrived we felt at home. Our room was lovely and spacious. We could walk to every thing and the beach... More

This hotel stands in the heart of Cape May's business district and enjoys a steady stream of beach-bound visitors. Our room was clean and well designed, more modern than the Victorian era building would have suggested. Also it included generous breakfast vouchers, a nice psychological perk!

I picked the Carroll Villa because of it's easy access to everything including a great restaurant (The Mad Batter). I also purposely picked Room 20 because of the private porch overlooking the (somewhat busy) street because the decor is soothing, and outdoor access seemed appealing. Victorian decor can be a bit "stimulus overload." But this room was delightfully soothing. I'm... More

I travel alone, so I like to stay at a bed and breakfast where I can get to know my hosts and staff. I was very happy to find the Carroll Villa online, and delighted when I got there and realized I was only one block from the beach and also only one block from the shopping district. Perfect! Plus... Staff was super friendly and location is perfect - literally a minute from the main strip and the beach. The walk from the public parking lot to the hotel is not the best, but it's not as far as other reviews make it seem - shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes. The rooms were super clean and there was no... More
