We stayed here for three days over Labor Day weekend. Set in a predominantly residential neighborhood, it is a ten minute walk to the beach. It is easily found by the Cape May water tower that overlooks the town and can be seen from a distance. There are about thirty rooms and suites on two floors. Facing the gated indoor pool, we stayed in room # 33 set towards the back with a residence view in the back. The room with 2 full size beds was basic and clean, leading to a good sized bathroom in the back. Covid regulations required a check in at the front desk before entering the pool. We found out it is a pet friendly hotel since we occasionally would hear barking dogs. The rooms were a bit on the pricey side as expected since it is pretty close to the shore. Though our stay was fairly short, we enjoyed our time at Madison Avenue Beach Club.…
Was able to do an early check in. Also was able to wait until Graduation was over to check out so the family and my Coastie could change into comfy travel clothes. Receptionist was very nice. Can walk to the beach. Very nice community to walk around and enjoy the old style homes. The mattress on the pull out couch could be upgraded not very supportive when your looking to rest. The stove is full size. Fridge is full size. Dishes are stocked. We stayed in room 38. My FIL stayed in the 1st floor single room and loved it. It was very nice and spacious. The rooms served their purpose. Would stay again.
The pictures and the reviews whetted our appetite, so I made a reservation. Unfortunately our room was disappointing. It had a musty smell, the room was smaller than expected and the "roll out couch" did not, it was more like a futon. The grounds we nice, the pool looked inviting and the location was great, just the room was not worth the money we paid.
They abused my signature and my credit card info to charge me extra fee of $75 after check out claiming that I strained 7 towels with fecies or blood which is lie. Where can I get enough blood to stained 7 towels? Or get fecies if I have grown up kids 12y old? Tbh most of their towles were either ripped or stained first place. I called to explain that it didn't happened and Katy front desk were very rude talking to me and wanted to hang up on me. Motel is very old and overpriced. Everytime we go to the pool there's no towels, no umbrellas, jacuzzi had sign out of order most of the time, grill is broken, parking spots are v limited and not enough for guests. Front desk are not friendly or welcoming. I have itchiness and pimples on my hands and legs started after my first night there not sure if it's from the pool or the bed sheets. The worst motel we've ever been. V poor experience.…
We rented two rooms for our large family. The largest two bedroom two bath condo and a single. We had 7 on our trip. We wanted the largest condo so our older kids had a full kitchen and washer/dryer. Turned out when we arrived no one told us the dryer in our larger condo was NOT working. We found out after doing a load of laundry! We said something to the staff and they said “yeah it’s broke and being replaced next week”! Wow couldn’t inform us at check in? They did however allow us to use their dryer in their staff laundry room. Sadly big inconvenience though. It’s a locked room and we had to constantly go down stairs and always ask for it to be opened to allow usage. We talked to the manager about a partial refund and they offered but only on site credit. We wanted a refund on our credit card, they refused. Sadly we won’t be returning to use the credit. We spent over $1,500 for 4 days with the two rooms and I have to say the site is very out dated. We stayed here nearly 10 years ago and was shocked upon return the TV’s are still the same ones! No HD tv either just your basic antenna cable service! Not trying to sound spoiled but if I’m spending this kind of money at least update your tv’s to something with a better picture! Pool is heated and on one day I swear it was nearly 90 degrees in the water! Fine for cold days but this was a hot day! Not very refreshing at all. People staying they’re were shocked the heater was running on a day that was 80 degrees! Staff seemed friendly but wow do the cleaning crew clean the places fast! They would arrive on site around 9 am and nearly every day were gone by noon! Leaves me to wonder how clean are they getting the rooms here? All and all minus the dryer situation it was a nice place to stay but as stated we won’t be returning. …
