Rooms need a serious updating .Bathroom outdated ,rugs and couch were disgusting I had to cover the couch with a blanket .Hotel manager is very RUDE and NASTY .Also the check in person at the front desk is not that nice as well. They seen not to care Sad because a lot of us are going through hard times right now
The staff is very friendly and the hotel is situated in a perfect location. We were able to walk to the beach, resturants, and shopping. It is also only minutes away from wineries and distilleries. If you like to park your car and still enjoy what Cape May has to offer, this is the perfect spot.
I along with my daughter, her husband and grand daughter have stayed at the Victorian three separate times over the summer, it's a family friendly place, the staff was awesome, friendly, very helpful and on several occasions made reservations for us at local restaurants. Their knowledge of Cape May was on the money.. The place is kept very clean and they adhere to COVID regs, the pool is immaculate, whenever a guest would leave the pool area, the lifeguard would clean the chairs, tables and lounges. We stayed in a two room suite, my kids had the bedroom and I slept on the couch ( queen size and comfortable), TV's in each room. The cleaning staff were on hand everyday to attend to our needs ( towels, sheets ) In fact going back for Labor Day weekend. Highly recommend the Victorian.…
It is with a heavy heart that I write this review. Our family has been coming to the Victorian for almost 20 years. We will never be back. First, we were berated and harassed by the management. I gave the benefit of the doubt of her being stressed, but her progressive & abrasive nature towards the guests was shocking. The Victorian claim they emphasize for people to wear masks. Some workers were NOT wearing masks and the manager would only harass certain guests even if they forgot their mask for a brief moment. There was one particular guest that NEVER ONCE wore a mask. The manager accused my family and another family of smoking “skunk weed”. My son was mortified. Then she smelled a nearby room and accused a third guest that happened to be a grandmother and grandfather that are in their 70’s! My daughter has a service dog. We are new to the ADA rights and felt obligated to share more than we needed. We were illegally asked for documentation, my daughter was requested to meet with the owner with her service dog and I quote management stated, “We don’t want to start a precedent.” Shocking. We lost power due to the tropical storm and the whole facility was unlit. There were no emergency lights, no exit lights. This was known approx. 12 lunchtime. The manager never once checked on any guests that I know of. This was disheartening as she said she did. We went out to buy lights for various families. Unbeknownst to us, another family did the same to share with other guests. They were a dollar. It was unsafe and pitch black with no hot water. No attempt by the Victiorian was made for even a flashlight or bottle of water. Nothing. A guest ultimately fell, hit his head and broke his ankle and now must have multiple surgeries. When we went to check out, we tried to diplomatically share our concerns with the owner and manager. Their cavaliere and flippant attitude spoke volumes. At least 7 rooms of repeating guests over DECADES are lost. The Victorian could care less. If you have a moral compass, I would not stay at the Victorian.…
