We spent two nights at the Olde Mill Inn during the Virus. First we checked in and it couldn't of been easier. When we go to hotels I think most people look for the same things. The bed was a king sized just as promised and great to sleep in .It was very very comfortable. The shower had plenty of hot water and force , along with an ample amount of shampoo, conditioners . body wash and lotions. There were plenty of clean towels. The olde mill inn. is easy to get too right off the highway and within a mile or two your able to get anything you may need and numerous restaurants even though in NJ you still cannot eat inside. Right out the parking lot you make a right onto rd 202 and a mile down the road are two farm stands. The hotel is spotless . They have some pretty outdoor grounds and its simple to see that they do hold weddings with a very nice restaurant that is only separated by a parking lot. They have a beautiful bar which because of the Covid -19 is not opened at the time. Also cause of the Covid-19 of what they told me they don't have the fresh breakfasts that come with the stay at the hotel but they do have Free coffees , and different coffee drinks. They have pastries all pre bagged and bagged bagels , cereal , yogurts and juices available. The inroom TV has 66 stations including 5 HBO's. During the Covid 19 the prices are reduced and I would like to thank the Olde Mill Inn for doing what I feel is the best that I could of expected during the miseries of 2020.

Charming hotel in a lovely area located near a beautiful nature preserve. The lower ceilings makes the average sized room feel smaller than it is, but it is a good value especially for an upscale, bucolic neighborhood. We will definitely stay here again and appreciate the helpfulness of staff who do enhance the feeling of an inn rather than hotel. Breakfast selections could be expanded and small, inexpensive touches (like a fresher bath mat) would go a long way in further enhancing a stay.

We love the Olde Mill Inn, we were married there years ago and it will forever hold a special place in our hearts. The rooms are clean and comfy, the food at The Grain House is some of the best food I have ever had. It’s always unique and delicious. It’s easy to spend a relaxing night there, I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. The entire experience is beautiful!

We booked the Bernard Suite to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of our wedding which we had here. In the last 20 years, nothing has changed. I don’t say that in a cute, historic sense.

Rather the cabinets and fixtures in the kitchenette and toilet were dated and loose. The baseboard heat was warming the room while the AC was blowing cold air trying to cool it. The fireplace was not working and the staff couldn’t explain how to work it.

The ceilings in the hallways are a mess, the paint is damaged. The carpets need a good cleaning or replacement. And the elevator malfunctioned.

The continental breakfast consisted of a pancake machine, a toaster and a collection of pastries reminiscent of a gas station.

The place photographs really well and as a wedding venue, we have fond memories of it. As a hotel, for the price. You can do much better elsewhere.

The Olde Mill Inn deserves 5 stars for
1. Location-Lovely suburban/countrylocale tucked away in Basking Ridge NJ just off I-287.
2. A rustic upscale welcoming decor.
3. A courteous, friendly and professional staff wit an "at your service attitude "
4. Lovely (although not spacious) rooms with convenient and comfortable amenities.
5. A very tasteful, cozy and comfortable environment throughout the hotel.

The Olde Mill Inn is on the cusp of wear.
Some items need to be spruced up like chipped paint on mouldings and some cleanup and caulking in bath areas.
The appreciated "breakfast included" is spartan but sufficient (maybe a good thing, who really needs giant waffles, over cheesy manufactured omelets and all you can eat bacon and sausage). A few less ultra high calorie cakes and muffins and maybe one egg choice.
The Grain House Restaurant on the premise looks wonderful and will definitely try it on our next visit, which I hope will be soon.
Alert to business travelers...Stay Here over the chain hotels...much nicer and the Corporate rate make The Olde Mill in a far superior choice over the competition.

We stayed at the Olde Mill Inn for two nights over a weekend because it was the venue for a family wedding. I have mixed feelings about the Inn. On the positive side, check-in and checkout were friendly and efficient; the facility very capably manages multiple, sometimes concurrent weddings (there were at least four while we were there) and the food at the wedding we attended (which was at the Grain House, on the same property) was pretty good. The fitness room (2 treadmills, 2 stationary bikes, 2 ellipticals, a rack of free weights and a universal machine) was average but adequate. Housekeeping staff did a good job and the bartender in the Coppertop Bar was great. There is more than ample free and convenient parking. And, if you. are attending an event there, it is obviously the most convenient place to stay. The hotel is, however, just a notch above a motel in terms of furnishings, room quality and amenities. The room and bathroom felt quite dated and in need of some upgrading, and had poor noise attenuation — aside from very clearly hearing the shower in the neighboring room, the big problem is hallway noise after midnight from revellers returning to their rooms at the conclusion of their event. Nothing like being awakened at 1:00 a.m. by loud and inebriated wedding guests the night before the wedding to which you’ve been invited. The old fashioned window air conditioner was so loud we turned it off and braved the warm nighttime air. The complimentary breakfast buffet is very average, the pastries inedible, and not on a par with chains that offer the same amenity. The public areas of the hotel also feel worn. The Inn is located adjacent to a freeway and the noise from the freeway impacts the serenity of some of the outdoor gathering places. Bottom line, the only reason to stay at the Inn is if you are attending an event there, in which case in my view the convenience of having a room on-site outweighs the negatives.

OMI was the most wonderful setting for my daughters wedding, the convenience of being able to stay where the wedding is being held was so helpful. The food and service was exceptional. David was out Maitre D' and he attended to every need of the bride and her guests. Lindsay was also helpful through out the two years of planning and rescheduling because of Covid. They truly were so amazing.

The Old Mill Inn is a charming and beautifully decorated hotel. The staff is professional and friendly and rooms very comfortable. We especially like the extra sink outside the bathroom and large desk. The continental breakfast has many options and plenty of space to accommodate all guests. We will be returning in the months to come.

This is the 4th time I've hosted a meeting at OMI. October 2020 was the last one prior. I will continue to host my Executive Offsite meetings here because the level of customer service is the highest I've ever received. I am responsible for many meetings and this hotel far surpasses every expectation. When my C level executives are happy, then I'm happy. From accommodating the requirements for a safe and socially distanced meeting, to the extremely clean rooms, to the fabulous food at the Grain House, it is all 5 star. The GM has his finger on the pulse of what is going on and my sales representative, Lindsey is on top of anything and everything during the entire meeting. If you are an EA or Event planner, this is the place that will make you shine! Alan will greet your guests with a warm smile and Betsy at the Grain House will make you and your guests feel welcome!
One of the great things to do in the evening is to stop by the front desk, where you will find Michael, who is the most pleasant person and quite accommodating, grab a bottle of wine and head out the back to the fireplace and relax!! We had quite a crowd out there for two nights. It was a wonderful place to unwind after a 9 hour meeting!! I can't wait to return!

The room we stayed in had both interior and exterior access. It seemed as all the rooms had interior access, but we were happy with the additional exterior access because we were abke to pull the car right up to the door. Hope this helps.
