Probably would have been better had we been given a better campsite. We were literally put in the parking lot. We like privacy and trees when we camp. Thank goodness this was only for 2 days. Shower rooms were hot. By the time you dry off you are drenched in sweat. Otherwise clean. Like I said might have been better had we been given a better campsite, one of the ladies in the camp store wasn’t very nice. Just was not worth the $72 a night to camp in a parking lot. Mosquitoes were horrible. We all got extremely bit up.
This campground was awesome! You get your money worth as the camp sites are level and have water, electric and fire pit. The bathrooms and showers are very clean. Pool was great. We wanted to have a vacation while being mindful of Covid. We were given a pouch with masks and hand sanitizer. The Campground/Staff made it a very safe and clean place to stay.
Long time campers, first time seasonals at Long Beach. Great location close to beaches, fishing and crabbing.. Clean campground, friendly staff. Loads of activities for kids and adults. No sewer connections but they have daily pump outs which are more than adequate.
We called last minute on a Friday after not liking our previous reservation at Surf and Stream. They had a spot for us and were extremely helpful. We had spot 177 and it was great. It was nice and big and quiet even though the main office, mini golf, and bounce attraction was across from it. They have complimentary honey wagon service, a large playground, and friendly people. The arcade can use some work but other than that we really enjoyed our stay. It is higher priced than most other places we stayed but for a last minute reservation it was totally worth it.
The staff is very friendly. Let me start by saying that. The bathrooms and showers are extremely clean and well maintained. Other than that, we were not impressed, and will not return. This is definitely an RV facility, not a campground by our definitions. The entire place is gravel. No dirt. No sand. This is at the shore. We want sand and/or dirt. Next, this is mostly seasonal sights. There were less than a dozen "transient" sites. We were parked in a row, with other campers, no privacy between sites. Hardly any trees or bushes between sites. I joked about staying in a Walmart parking lot and having more privacy. If you don't mind giving up your privacy for clean toilets and showers, this may be the place for you.
