There are many activities available in the area. The ice cream parlor on S. Main Street is excellent. The portions were huge and delicious. Our unit was at the Yacht Club, with a beautiful view of lake Winnepesaki Dinner menu at the Golf Club is very nice and the food was good. Would definitely recommend this resort. The staff, especially Diane, was very helpful. We arrived after dark and because she thought we would have difficulty locating the unit she had us follow her in her car after closing the sign in desk.

We just got back from our stay at the Windrifter and I couldn't wait to write this review. We LOVED this place. There had been many negative reviews , so I was justifiably nervous upon booking the trip. However - we booked anyhow because the location and the dock space were exactly what we wanted. Well... I had nothing to be nervous about. We ended up visiting two different units. Both were amazingly immaculate. Seriously... the cleanest rooms I've ever been in. They smelled clean... not chemical-like... just fresh and clean. I knew immediately that the resort had been seriously addressing the protocols for covid-19. I was very impressed and immediately put at ease. A staff member at the Main Inn even offered to drive us to the Yacht Club so we could follow her. Totally unnecessary as it's only a mile away and very easy to get to. These are just people who WANT to help! We ended up paying for an upgrade to stay at the Yacht Club. Now the term "yacht club" should be used very loosely. It was not grandiose or elegant... but it suited our needs perfectly. We loved being right on the water. We loved being near the boats. We LOVED the view from our balcony and the sweet town of Wolfeboro. The unit itself was very small for our family of five. But it was totally worth it! We feel like we just uncovered a hidden gem on Lake Winnipesaukee.... we are so grateful and we would definitely stay here again.

Nice place to stay, right on the water. Wolfboro center was some 300 feet away. Some equipment unavailable due to Covid-19. The staff was very easy to work with. I would go back again. My only complaint is if you are cooking in the kitchen, you are challenged with, the only knives are steak knives to slice and dice everything you are preparing.

So I will definitely return based upon these reasons. When we arrived our room was let's just say, "a little untidy". But, here are the reasons why I would definitely return. I immediately let the gentleman at the counter know why our room was "dirty".He acknowledged what I said but didn't actually do anything about it. So later on, I asked the woman at the front desk if she knew about our issue and if the manager was told about it. I guess it wasn't known. BUT, the woman took the "issue" VERY SERIOUSLY and offered to change our room, took pics of the issues, and notified the manager. In the long run the management took our concerns seriously and everything worked out. The facilities are fantastic! Pool table, ping pong table, oversized games in the sitting area, love the layout of our room. The staff, with the exception of 1 staff member, were very friendly and took pride in their Resort. Would definitely return in the future.

Thank you for the review. We are so very sorry you encountered a less than stellar beginning to your stay. It is not our intention that any guest be met with that situation. We have addressed the issue with our staff to ensure we don't have a repeat down the line. We are very glad that you enjoyed the facilities, though. We enjoy watching our guests have a good time. When your travels bring you back to the area, we will look forward to seeing you, again!!
