Cute place, on Mirror Lake . Nice getaway. Short distance from quaint village town with restaurants and shops.Owners Sally and Betsy are very friendly and sincerely nice. Cabin was more than adequate, beds comfortable. Also have a "motel " (4 unit ) inn. They have paddleboats and row boats you can use during your stay. Unit had heat and A/C . Bathroom was somewhat modern and clean.

My husband and our adult son and I stayed here for three nights in mid-September. Our rustic cottage (#3) was clean and comfortable with a terrific view of Mirror Lake. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. Our cottage had 2 bedrooms - one with a double bed, the other with two twins - plus a large sleeping porch with another twin bed. The living area featured a very comfortable sofa and chair (new) and a table that could easily seat 4 people, 6 in a pinch. Our parking spot was literally right outside our door. A charcoal grill and a rowboat are available. WiFi and Spectrum TV, too. Sally & Betsy, who became the owners after their parents died, are friendly hosts. Bathroom amenities include shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. The only "down side" to the cottage is the tricky plumbing - the previous guests had flushed wipes and, despite two visits from the plumber (one before we arrived and one during our stay), the toilet didn't flush well. Be kind to the old pipes and septic system. You shouldn't flush wipes ANYWHERE (any plumber will tell you that!) but especially not in an older cottage. That was the only problem we ran into. Days were warm and sunny, nights cool but not cold. PERFECT New England September.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Sally, who welcomed us to her long-held family lodging like old friends. After giving us a short tour of the grounds (which include a charming public dock complete with fire engine red geraniums, two matching Adirondack chairs, and a knock-your-socks-off view of Mirror Lake) we ended up at Cottage #2. Like its three sisters, our cottage featured two small bedrooms (perfect for our family of four), a well-equipped kitchen, a typical lake cottage bathroom (serviceable, not fancy), a darling sitting room with an overstuffed plaid loveseat and rocker, and a "sleeping porch" with another twin bed. We found the accommodations clean and comfortable, if a bit squeaky, and a throw-back to simpler times when air-conditioning was eschewed for fans that didn't totally muffle the call of the loons as the sun went down. Our very reasonably-priced cottage included use of our own dock and rowboat (my son caught several sunnies on Mirror Lake!), a paddle boat, and a public float about twenty feet from the shore. We spent every day in the lake and found it to be a perfect respite from the hot sun of lower New England; clear and refreshing, a longing rises within me as I remember the many happy hours we spent swimming, splashing and jumping off the float. This is a great little gem of a place on Mirror Lake just north of Wolfboro, NH. It is family run and full of personal touches! I stayed in one of the motel rooms that was comfortable. The lake is beautiful and the proprietors have various items available for your water enjoyment! This was the absolute perfect place to be given all that is going on with the pandemic - away from it all and around a friendly, welcoming staff and fellow vacationers!

Love everything about this place. Nestled in the woods steps from the lake are four adorable cabins and some equally cute motel rooms. The 4 cabins are super cute, clean and very comfortable and each has a private little path to the lake with your own dock and row boat. There is a shared sandy beach area where you can enter the water without rocks and the swimming is heavenly . On the shared dock are a few Adirondack chairs and lounging chairs and it’s quite picturesque. It’s a few miles outside Wolfboro center and provides just the right balance of tranquility and close to all amenities. There are also paddle boards for rent. The two ladies who manage the property couldn’t be any nicer and accommodating for all our needs. I will definitely return and the Pow-Wow Lodge is my new “go to” escape. Thank you !!!!!
