A group of 18 of us stayed at Lakeview, we stayed in the cozy inn,We really loved the wonderful old house ,with the beautiful antique furnishings. We had a dining room and living room and also a kitchen, we were able to cook our meals, hang out in living room and the rockers on porch was great to sit in and looking at the wonderful views of weirs beach and the lake .

Don't stay here if you are in any way mobility limited. To get to our cabin, we climbed rickety stairs and rocks. The location is fabulous as long as you are able to walk up and down a steep hill to the pier. The room and bathroom are tiny, and smell musty. Furnishings old and worn. But the AC was a champion on a very hot night, the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in, the pool and view are fantastic. The staff are lovely. So, for the young and fit not requiring luxury, this place is fine, but definitely not four stars.

Hello, Weirs Beach! My husband and I have begun our sixteenth season with the Lakeview House & Cottages! Memorial Day Weekend finally arrived, and it was with great joy that we signed into Cottage 15. As always, it was spotless and ready for our arrival. It's like coming home...again. Dyan and Joe work so hard to make this place what it is: a perfect example of New England charm. There are two historic inns, the Cozy Inn and the Lakeview House, built in the 1800s, and cottages around each of them. This is the place to travel to if you're looking for comfort, friendliness, relaxation...the cottages are clean and tidy; they all have their own little deck so you can relax and enjoy the "million dollar view" of Lake Winnipesaukee. Sunrises and sunsets bring breathtaking color to the skies. Even the lake changes color during the day! If you're looking to relax, just stay on campus; there are two pools to lounge by, or you could meander down the hill to Endicott Beach and relax by the lake. If you're hungry, walk down Tower Hill. There are countless restaurants. If you enjoy walking, stroll along the Boardwalk. If you're feeling adventurous, there are boat rentals available. There's an arcade for the kids (big and small) and there are shops to peruse. You can take a cruise on the Mount Washington. So much to do (if you want) and so little time. Your time here can be as busy or as restful as you want. Dyan and Joe and their crews are always available to advise and help. You will be comfortable here. You will be welcome here. You can relax here. You can play here. Chances are you won't want to leave here. There is one good thing about having to leave: knowing you can always return.

I first have to comment on the one negative recent review and say that as a return customer for years I feel that most of the negativity is just not true. First, I never, ever hear traffic or motorcycles all night long. Second, bathrooms are very clean, some may be dated but definitely not gross or unclean. Rips in screens, etc. are part of New England weather getting the best of some areas but nothing that I found noticeable. In my opinion this place is immaculate! I have stayed in the cabins and yes, they are more dated than the actual Inn but again clean, clean, clean. The breakfast is a very nice, appreciated addition as well as the coffee. Yes you do need to climb a hill so if you are not physically able to do so, then you probably should not. But I would not say hard for elderly! If you are fit and don't mind a bit of a walk up hill, talking 2 minutes, then you should try this place out for sure mo matter how old or young you are! I would 100% recommend Lakeview House and Cottages. I have and have had friends stay and love it as well. It is charming, clean, owners and staff are the nicest you will ever meet and the views are amazing!

We stayed here recently (family of 6). The house looked a little tired from the outside but we had a warm welcome. The staff were cheerful and helpful throughout our one night stay. We had the captain's suite which was very clean and tidy and well-equipped and there was an endless supply of towels. There was a great view of the lake from the windows. We were impressed by the breakfast ( coffee and homemade muffins)- simple but we had not expected this included in the price. We would return!
