Property's Favorite Review
My dad lives at this campground seasonally and we came to visit for a week and ended up extending our stay a couple days, we did not want to leave! All facilities were exceptionally clean. They play classic rock at the Pools all day which was my favorite part. There are 5 pools and 2 hot tubs some specifically for kids. Plus a playground and tons of games, its incrsdibly family friendly. All of the staff were super nice. Our friends came over for a day trip, and be aware if you have visitors you have to pay a fee, but it's worth it as they were able to take advantage of the pools and playground for day out with the kids that would cost much more anywhere else. Plus hooking up our camper in one of the premium pull through sites was a breeze. If you want to RV or tent in a very pretty place with all the amenities, Cold Springs is a hidden gem!

Thanks for visiting you dad and staying with us longer than planned! We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed hanging out and we look forward to seeing you next season. Yes, we do charge a visitor fee but that is typical at any campground. This allows your guests to enjoy the same activities, facilities and amenities that you do. See you next year! I am a seasonal and just completed my second year at Cold Springs. It is the best kept campground I have ever stayed in. Everything is immaculate and spotlessly clean. The young staff that clean the restrooms/showers do an unbelievable job. There are a lot of rules, some that are easy to forget, but these rules make it a safe environment for all of us. Everyone is friendly and welcoming from the drive in the gate to the drive out.
This year was disappointing, due to Covid-19 as many activities were cancelled. I understand the owners had to purchase items due to Covid that would not normally be in their budget, however I was very disappointed that rates went up for next year. It would have been a nice gesture and earned a lot of goodwill if the previous seasonal rates had remained the same.
Besides this leaving a bad taste I do love Cold Springs and hope to camp there for many years to come.

Thank you for being a part of our camping family. Our staff takes great pride in keeping the campground clean, safe and inviting. The seasonal rate increase is due to inflation and rising costs in most areas. This season our operating costs were not less and in some areas our costs were higher. We found alternatives for the activities that were cancelled that still cost the about the same amount of money. Also, to keep the pool area open as normal as possible, we had to limit visitors and transient campers for the safety of our guests. By doing this it resulted in lower revenues than a typical year. We always invest the money back into the camp resort every season to update and improve our resort for everyone’s safety and enjoyment. We look forward to many years of camping with you and your family! Todd Manager

We stayed here for 3 nights recently and had a great time. We booked a site for our travel trailer and a tent site right next to it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The store is very well stocked with essentials if you forgot something. The pool area is very large and wonderful. They have pools for adult only pool and others for kids as well as a big adult hot tub and a smaller one for kids. Not a lot of hiking trails to speak of but place is huge so you can get plenty of walking just checking out sites. They have a lot of activities for kids and adults. We chose to spend most of the time by the pool and our sites. One thing I don't like all that much is they do not have a great beach area but not sure if there is much they can do about that. Overall a very fun and relaxing trip. There are a lot of seasonal people here and they are all super friendly. Even know a few. The sites are a little cramped and fire ring was very close to camper. We ended up using the one at the tent site so that did not matter.

Thank you so much for such an informative review of our resort! We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. We definitely are large enough for a great walking around workout and within a short drive there are hiking trails that offer more of a challenge. We look forward to another visit from you! 80s band was cancelled, services were limited yet rates were jacked up through the roof. This was our fourth and final year. $30 per person to visit us for a day is outrageous, even staff expressed disappointed with rate increases. Heard the band isn’t coming back either, and many seasonal are packing up and selling due to the owners allowing the camp to be run by their 24 year old daughter who has zero personality and customer service skills. Again, staff had nothing good to say about that situation either. Folks turn this around swiftly as you have a great thing going that is about to be run into the ground. There are lots of campgrounds out there without the inflated price gouging and bad attitude from an entitled princess. Give us the chairs back and hand people a few hand wipes at the gate as well. With the new rates you can afford to wipe a chair.

Hello, Due to the covid 19 pandemic, we’ve had to make some tough choices. At this time, we have canceled some of our activities such as bands/DJs. There is not a safe way to allow all our guests to enjoy them and for our guests to social distance under a pavilion. However, we are doing activities that can be done safely. We had a no contact social distance magician. We have offered treasure hunts with prizes and bracelet making kits for free to all that want to participate. We have adult bingo and candy bar bingo twice a week. We have our horseshoe, shuffleboard, volleyball and basketball courts open. Our dog park is also open for your furry family members. We created an online store with free on site delivery or we have a service window at the store to purchase your items. We installed a new window for our Campfire Cafe since indoor dining is not an option at this time for us in meeting the state guidelines. Campfire Cafe is open daily for coffee and ice cream. Our beach is open. Our heated Pools are also open and guests can bring their own chairs if they choose. It is impossible to know when a guest is no longer using the chair for us to disinfect before the next guest uses the chair. Therefore not meeting state guidelines for our pool complex to be open. In regards to the visitor rates, $30 is the weekend adult visitor rate to stay over night. Weekend daily rate for during the day only is $20 per adult. We apologize if your visitor was not staying over night, you can contact me directly with exact dates so that I can investigate the charges for your guests. We hope all of our guests understand why campgrounds have to make necessary changes during times like these. Everyone wants everything to be back to normal as soon as possible including us. However, our priority is to keep our family, our employees and especially our guests as safe as we can. Todd Manager

Review of Cold Springs Camp Resort
My family recently spent a weekend at Cold Springs Camp Resort, and I must say that our experience was highly disappointing. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the employees had no interest in providing a pleasant camping experience. Their rude behavior and lack of professionalism left a sour taste in our mouths.
One incident that particularly stands out was when an employee approached my son and rudely told him that he couldn't be in the hot tub because he wasn't old enough. We were well aware of the sign that stated the hot tub was for adults aged 18 years or older. However, our son, who was born in September of 2003, clearly met the age requirement. The employee's attitude and refusal to acknowledge this mistake were completely uncalled for. It was a disrespectful interaction that left us feeling unwelcome.
Furthermore, the pricing at Cold Springs Camp Resort was exorbitant, and it was far from justified by the facilities and services offered. We expected a certain level of quality for the price we paid, but unfortunately, that was not the case. The value for money was abysmal, and we felt cheated by the steep charges.
It is truly disheartening to have such a negative experience at a campground, especially when we were looking forward to a relaxing long holiday weekend in nature. The employees' rude behavior and the campground's overpricing left us with a feeling of regret for choosing Cold Springs Camp Resort.
In light of our experience, I would strongly caution others against visiting this campground. There are plenty of other options available that provide better service, friendlier staff, and more reasonable pricing. Save yourself the disappointment and explore alternative camping destinations in the area.

Thank you for your feedback. We have an adult hot tub for guests 18 and older and as well as a kids hot tub. We train our employees that if someone appears underage, we let the guest know that hot tub is for 18 and older. If the guest state they are over 18, we would allow them stay. We appreciate that you brought this to our attention so we can take the opportunity to further the training for the staff. Our rates vary based on the time of the season. During off peak rate season, less amenities and activities are offered. During the peak season we many amenities and activities including multiple pools which one is heated. We do hope you will come back and give us another try. The Cold Springs Team

This is a very clean family friendly camp ground. Their main draw is the six well maintained pools. The staff were also very helpful and they have done a great job of handling COVID precautions. It is primarily a campground for seasonal campers which are mostly friendly. It becomes more lively on Friday evenings when they all arrive. We enjoyed our stay and it appears that under normal conditions they have many activities scheduled. There are a few areas that we were disappointed by. There is really no place to fish except for one small area with tiny fish. The swimming pond is not appealing. The beach is nice but the water is murky at best. The sites can be crowded in places which is fine for some but we like a little more space. All in all its a very nice campground.

Thank you so much for staying with us! We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay here at the resort. While we do have many seasonal campers we do have quite a few campers who come in just for the weekends. On a typical day we do have lots of fun planned throughout the day for all ages. Unfortunately, due to the lack of rain, the swimming pond is not as refreshing as it typically is. We hope that you will stay with us again next season and that things are back to a more "normal" way so that you can enjoy all that we offer! Todd Manager

Spent a couple of days at Cold Springs Campground in Weare NH. They have a nice pool complex and nice facilities. However I don’t understand why there are so many additional fees. We had a premium site that was $102.00 per night for Tuesday and Wednesday. They informed us that Thursday is the start of their weekend so the rate increased to $120. They also charged a $5.00 booking fee along with a $40 fee to lock the reservation. After all that they still charge extra for hot showers… I am sure that they don’t have a problem filling the campground but I don’t see us visiting there again.

Worst Money grabbing camp ground we ever stayed in. Outrageous fees for visitors and service people entering the property. Get picked up by a family member to leave property. $20 to $25 charge to let them in. Same charges when they drop you off. Increased fees on weekends. Had a company come in to dispose of old furniture, service charge was $100. The camp ground charged me $20 to let them in. Be aware of this place.

The State of NH RSA requires all campgrounds to register all visitors who enter the park. Our visitor rates are charged however they are refunded 100% if visitor returns within 30 minutes. We apologize if you feel that you paid too much for having guests and disposing of furniture. As far as a service fee for $100, we do not have a service fee so we are not sure what this person is referring to. The Cold Springs Camp Resort Team

Great but we were limited because of COVID. We never went to the pools because we felt they were overcrowded. We ate a LOT of ice cream - thank you.we never visited the rec hall but we were overlooking it. We would like to visit again and would consider seasonal. Great campground - minus COVID! Looking forward to a return visit - minus COVID!

cost to rent a golf cart at cold springs campground
There is some fishing from the bridges on site, but there are also a few lakes and ponds nearby for fishing, kayaking, etc..
Thank you for your inquiry. Our cabins do not have air conditioning. As Terri said, you are welcome to bring a fan and there are a couple of windows. The cabins are a basic camping cabin with a queen bed, 4 bunks, small refrigerator and a flat screen tv with DVD player. There is also water outside, fireplace with a built in grate and all are within walking distance to a bathroom.
We hope this helps you out!
