We just returned from a fantastic week-long stay at Lake Shore Village Resort. We traveled with another family, with a total of 5 boys and girls, ages 10-14. Our family occupied Cabin 15 (the one with the loft) and was very happy with our accommodations. Our friends stayed in Cabin 8 and were also satisfied. This was our fourth NH lake vacation, and it was by far, the best. The resort offers such a wide variety of activities for families that the kids were never bored. Families have an extensive choice of arts and crafts, swimming, tubing, waterskiing, a rope swing, beach volleyball, tetherball, boating, paddle boarding, kayaking and a full recreation center that offers an indoor pool and Jacuzzi, ping pong, pool and foosball. The beach was large and featured many lounge chairs, for those who prefer to get some sun and relax. Our cabin was fairly close to the beach, but was set far enough away that we also had privacy. Guests can select from smaller cabins or huge lake houses, depending on their needs and amount of travelers. The newest and largest lake houses are gorgeous, but are a distance from the beach, and are set high on a steep hill. I saw guests trudging up the path to those houses, but I THINK the resort might provide a golf cart to make the trips to and from the beach a bit easier for guests who can not handle the walk. All cabins feature lovely views of the lake and come well-stocked with necessary kitchen essentials. The smaller cabins DO NOT have gas grills, but instead offer tiny charcoal grills, with no briquettes, lighter fluid or matches, which can be a bit of an inconvenience for families who plan on grilling hamburgers and hot dogs. Get that charcoal going early, so your kids aren't waiting an hour for a burger! I would recommend bringing a small propane grill to avoid this issue. Hopefully, the resort will invest in gas grills for the smaller cabins. The cabins also only come with two rolls of toilet paper, so bring some extra rolls! Cleanliness of the cabins was OK (and the reason why I gave the resort 4 instead of 5 stars). We had a issue with fruit flies in our kitchen, and a sofa bed mattress that was loaded with crumbs and a few CLEAN baby diapers that someone had left behind. The uncomfortable living room furniture wasn't the cleanest either, but we were aware it wasn't a five-star resort, so we didn't make an issue of it. I think the cleaning crews just need to spend a little more time preparing the cabins for the next guests. What makes Lake Shore Village stand out among other locations are the owners. Michael and his parents are wonderful people, who take a lot of pride in their property. They are friendly, laid back and extremely accommodating. They truly want their guests to be happy, and it appeared that everyone was! I loved the personal flavor their personalities gave the property, and one of the reasons we plan to return in the future. My husband and boys are still raving about how much fun they had...a sign of a great vacation! Thank you Michael...it was a pleasure to be your guest.

We stayed here for a winter getaway/ ski weekend at Pat's Peak and it was just perfect. Two families stayed together in one of the large, new cabins, and we could not have asked for anything more. The cabin was incredibly clean, spacious, with a kitchen stocked with all equipment that you could need. (Linens/towels included as well). The enormous windows of the cabin overlook the lake - gorgeous views. Despite the high ceilings and large windows, the cabin was toasty warm. There is also an indoor pool and hot tub, and game room with a pool table and ping pong table and games. The owner/staff are incredibly helpful.

This little resort is a true gem. They offer a variety of houses/cabins located within walking distance to the recreation building and lake. The resort maintains a beautiful beach area on the lake with a dock and a variety of row, paddle boats to use free of charge. The lake can be a bit busy with jet skis and boats but we everyone was respective of everyone else. There is a small swingset, volleyball net and snack shack directly on the beach. The staff here is fabulous! You can tell they all enjoy working here and take pride in getting to know their guests. The cabins are basic but comfortable and clean.

My husband, our two daughters, and two nieces stayed here for 4 days in June as part of our road trip and had a wonderful and relaxing vacation. We rented cabin 2 which is right on the water. The view was amazing. It was so relaxing to sit on the deck each day to read, sleep, or just relax. When we wanted to be busy we could go kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming (lake or pool), play tennis, or just walk around the property. We also rented the pontoon boat for 4 hrs. ($140). This was a great way to see the lake and for our girls to swim in the lake. We also loved the country setting of the cabin and that it is a small resort, so it wasn't crowded, but when we wanted a little more activity he headed into Portsmouth for a day trip. Lakeshore Village was a perfect stop for us to relax and spend time as a family. Tips: There are two main grocery stores, Market Basket and Shaw, both should have what you need. Bugs were plentiful when we went in late June, bring bug spray to enjoy the outdoors. Milford Drive in is a wonderful way to spend an evening. Our cabin had board games and puzzles and there were also videos you could borrow from the clubhouse.

We stayed in one of the two bedroom cabins on the lake. The view was absolutely beautiful. We truly enjoyed waking up every day to such an amazing view. Our kids loved being able to fish off the dock right in front of the cabin. They each caught about 10 fish a piece (Blue Gill and Bass)! Having the beach area right next to the cabin was also great. The kids enjoyed playing in the shallow water and we didn't have to worry about them getting swept away by a wave. We also enjoyed kayaking and trying out the paddle boards. The interiors of the waterfront cabins are very rustic, so if you are looking for an upscale experience, the cabins probably won't be for you. There are newly built cabins behind the original ones and they have the latest amenities. We toured a couple of them and they are fantastic with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. They are intended for larger groups of 10 and 12. We wanted a peaceful vacation and we absolutely got it at the Lake Shore Village Resort. Would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of city living.
