Congregating at Moosilauke is a time-honored Dartmouth tradition for inbound freshman and the Lodge continues to draw alumni and unaffiliated hikers alike. The accommodations are very rustic: shared bunk rooms, some semi-private rooms, bathrooms and showers in the main Lodge. There are outlets for basic charging needs, but there is no cell service and no wi-fi (perfect way to disconnect!)...

I heard they are tearing down The Lodge to replace it with a new one, and as a Dartmouth alum I never thought I'd say this, but GOOD. It's gross now. Absolutely filthy. We had hundreds of dead bugs in our room, covering the floor and bed. I've never seen anything so gross and they've never seen a vacuum. My...

Let me start by emphasizing this is not your typical hotel/lodge. If you are looking for all the comforts in the world then don't come here. That being said, if you are looking for a place to come and relax either before or after a good days worth of hiking then this is the place for you. It sits in...

If you like Hampton Inn & Suites, this is NOT IT. This is a rustic and historic old log cabin style lodge with a big rock fireplace, clean but very basic accommodations. The staff of Dartmouth students do a nice job taking care of guests, feeding very well (family style) and sometimes coming up with kooky-crazy activities for guests. Bring...

We only used the Lodge as the base for our day hike. You can park along the access road and then stop into the Lodge to change, hit the restroom, wait for the rest of your party to arrive, etc. There may be drinks and snacks available for a donation. Water is free. After your hike there are showers you...

I've stayed at the Moosilauke Ravine Lodge many times. It's not your usual hotel, but it's a very nice place regardless. Dinner and Breakfast are served family style - you get to take your pick of spots at tables of six. The food has been really good every time I've been there. There's usually some hanging out that happens after...

This is a very rustic lodge at the end of a dirt road and the base of hiking trails. Think bunk beds, thin walls, no heat, no cell service, bring your own towels and bedding. Folks bring their dogs into the lodge! Think communal eating of hearty food (we were served mac and cheese for dinner and pancakes for breakfast)....
