Detailed Reviews
This past weekend was our 21st Labor Day at the Farm. We had reservations about going since our family couldn’t make it this year as a result of the pandemic. Although we missed our family, we are so glad we went! In addition to the charm and welcoming atmosphere that is always present at the Farm, the sanitizing precautions that were put in place were reassuring. The guests wore masks in common areas while the staff wore them constantly; a staff member could be seen walking around sanitizing doors, the arms of chairs, etc. There was hand sanitizer available all around the premises. The dining room tables were spaced out and lunch was held outside. I could go on but would like to summarize by saying that we got to enjoy all the activities the Farm has always offered while knowing all precautions were being taken to keep guests safe. Thanks to the family and staff at the Farm for making yet another Labor Day weekend so special for us, our kids and our friends. Antonia Kellner

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the inn with our 3 kids; 11, 8, and 4. Perfect place to unwind and disconnect (WiFi is spotty and cell coverage is nil). Our kids loved milking cows, feeding chickens, playing bingo, hiking, paddle boating, swinging, horse riding...you get the picture. Covid precautions and cleanliness was outstanding. The all inclusive meals were great, every single one had options and had a homely feel: roast turkey dinner, baked chicken, roast beef and all the trimmings. Our server Simon was over the top great, connected with our kids and was super attentive and friendly. Rooms were appointed in classic New England decor, no TVs which made us super comfortable and kept us away from the tube. Summary, we booked a 5 night stay at check out! Can’t wait to get back!

During the Covid, the Inn has been closed but the restaurant has offered dinners to go. A full course with dessert for 2 people and 4 people is offered every Wednesday for pick up. The meals are fantastic, and as we are local, I can only guess at the delight of their guests when they eat at the Inn during their stay. Can wholeheartedly recommend the home made cooking and the property is gorgeous, so when it reopens for guests, we suggest a stay there!

This is like paradise on earth! I have been coming to East Hill Farm for nearly 30 years and there is no place like it. The rooms are spacious and beautiful with antique furniture, the grounds are planted with lovely flowers and trees, the entire staff from the kitchen team to cleaning crews are magnificent and the views of the lake and Mt. Monadnock are breathtakingly stunning. It is a place of great tranquility, peace and harmony away from a hectic, chaotic world. It is also a working farm and it is so much fun to visit the all the various animals. There are lots of interesting, unique activities for both children and adults. I still have my son's art projects from over 25 years ago! The staff was most accommodating to my specific dietary needs and the food is wonderful and plentiful. Three full meals are included in the price for a room or a couple of times I had an entire suite. You can bring your dog if she/he is well behaved and properly leashed. On clear nights you can go star gazing. The gift shop is my downfall since I only purchase handmade items and there are plenty of local exceptional artist's and craftsmen works to choose from ranging from small items to paintings and furniture. There are three pools; even an indoor one complete with a sauna, hot tub and greenhouse. I always dread leaving this oasis. I want to stay 365 days a year! I highly recommend this resort as a perfect get away any time of the year regardless of age; whether you come alone or with your canine companion and it's fantastic for families too!

We have stayed at East Hill Farm many times over the past 20 years but had not been back for about 5 years. My wife and I , in our 60s, met our 30 yo daughter, son in law , and their 9 month old baby at the farm. We stayed for 3 days and they stayed for almost a week. So nice - relaxing, lots of great food to eat, and we felt very safe and protected vis a vis COVID and we are from NY. The rooms are spacious, particularly the upscale ones and the food is basically as much as you want to eat.
What is really nice about East Hill Farm is that you can be very busy with hiking and tennis, and hanging around with the animals in the barn or you can just chill and read your book all day. The site is gorgeous and the staff wonderful.
A very relaxing time especially for young parents with kids.

Kids aged 2-8 had fun.
Pros: amazing views. Gorgeous spot. Zero mental load—just pack your bags and drive and then everything is done for you. Some of the younger staff were awesome, warm, and great with kids (Olivia). Riding lessons were a hit.
Cons: Food underwhelming and bland, front desk staff and equestrian staff ranged from outright rude/hostile to unwelcoming to unhelpful, coffee is terrible, and kids activities were just so-so (markers and glitter, play-doh). Not enough effort towards educational value of the interactive parts of farm—ie could have milking sessions with some Q+A and really engaging the kids and getting them curious and interested. Rooms dated.
For $700/night (including tip) for a family of 4, you can do much better.

My family has been vacationing for a week every summer (for decades, now) at "the farm!" It holds such a special place in our hearts, a group of friends started going in the winter for that New England winter experience. The Inn truly has SO much to offer, year round, whether you're 9 years old or 90 years old. The ambiance is incomparable to other vacation resorts I've been to. The family that runs the Inn is a really special group of people. It is evident that there is care and intentionality behind every activity, every offering, every hire, every piece of decor, every piece of food that we eat, and more. With such a short ride from Massachusetts, comfortable, clean, and updated amenities, and that million-dollar view of Monadnock, I don't see why we'd ever stop going! And the Chefs' soup game is seriously #1.

We stayed for 3 nights in mid-June with a large group, 7 adults + 7 kids ranging from 2 yrs - 11 yrs. The kids all had a great time, really enjoyed being able to roam freely around the farm visiting animals, checking for chicken eggs and swimming in the pool. The young ladies running the rec program did a great job with the different activities throughout the day (crafts, kickball, story time, etc), and that helped to break up the day and give the kids something to always be looking forward to doing. Adults were able to relax and not have to plan the next activity, meal, etc. Food was really enjoyable, there was enough variety throughout our stay to not feel repetitive. Definitely one of the highlights from our vacation!

We were so lucky to have the farm open again. We had been following the experts advice and were glad/relieved to see the farm staff & guests were too!
All activities and meals could be outside, people were safe & socially responsible with their masks, and had either been quarantined or had a negative Covid test before coming.
It is possible to have safe fun this summer, especially to support our favorite place on earth.

We spent a beautiful weekend at the Inn at East Hill Farm! We were there for a large family and friend gathering and we enjoyed every moment of our stay! The inn is cozy and offers a warm nostalgic farm experience. We were able to enjoy a variety of activities including goat milking, macrame, paddle boating on the pond, and horseback riding. There was also plenty of opportunity to relax and enjoy the beautiful views of Mt. Monadnock. The staff at the inn was the best! They went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and the home style meals they served were delicious! We can’t wait to bring our family back!
