All I can say is that these four nights were the most comfortable nights I have spent away from home in DECADES! The rooms are quaint, the owners are wonderful, and the breakfast was worth a third the cost of the room. It is 10 minutes from Keene, and easy to find. I cannot be effusive enough about how much... Susan and David are wonderful hosts. We arrived late, but Susan found us a restaurant that was open and called them for us and gave us directions. Our room was extremely comfortable and breakfast was absolutely delicious. Fresh, inventive, healthy (tailored to iit the various needs of our party), made from local ingredients and served on gorgeous old china. We... More

The Bridges Inn is the only place we stay when visiting our daughter in Swanzey. Susan and David go the extra mile to ensure your stay will be as pleasant as possible. They treat you like you are part of their family. Special requests are not a problem...they love to accommodate your every need. David's breakfasts are always a treat... More

This is a sweet place to stay if you are in the Keene area for any reason. It is just 15 minutes away but a world away at the same time. The breakfast is amazing, the rooms are clean and comfortable. It is tucked away in a small town and just what you expect when staying at a B &... More

We had a lovely stay at Susan's place. Our private room with bath was very comfortable and was well outfitted with extra plush towels, chocolates, reading materials etc. But you could also use the downstairs sitting room and there were nice gardens outside as well. The breakfast was fantastic with a wide variety of choices, great fresh brewed coffee, tea,... More

This B&B definitely deserves top marks! To start with, the house is really beautiful and Susan and Nick made us so welcome, we almost felt like family. Every breakfast we had was delicious (Susan ' s homemade pancakes were particularly delicious with a choice of maple or elderberry syrup!) We were spoilt for choice when it came to the teas... More

Our stay at Bridges Inn restored our enthusiasm for staying in B&B's. We arrived at the Inn having had an awful (and expensive) experience at another B&B the night before. Susan's warm and friendly greeting set the tone for an enjoyable evening, our room was cheerful (and spotless!), the bathroom was sparkling clean with nice amenities, the bed was comfortable,... I loved it. My wife and daughter found the Victorian decorations a little creepy, which I found interesting since they both love history. We got there late at night and they are used to the suburbs, so the whole country thing set them in an "ax-murderer" mindset. Other than their weird phobias, we loved it. The house was very well... The Bridges is the quintessential New England inn in every delightful sense of that image. From the luscious scenery to the period decor to the outstanding food, Susan, David and Nick provide a warm, welcoming and sincere atmosphere and experience that truly defines "hospitality." There wasn't a single aspect of our stay that could be improved upon (other than the... More

Susan greeted us cheerfully as we arrived, and welcomed us to her wonderful establishment. A charming place, wonderful rooms, we had our own bathroom, and breakfast at one long table for us all to eat together was bountiful, delicious and friendly, with Susan serving and David in the kitchen doing all the preparation. Our rooms were clean, well appointed, plenty... More
