This was our first visit to Lake Sunapee, the weekend before Memorial Day, so it was still considered off-season. The Harbor Cottages were clean, well-cared for, and very cozy. The grill on the deck and the kitchenette were excellent and a big plus over staying at a hotel or lodge. Beautiful location, right on the harbor, close to all that the area offers. Warm, welcoming people run the establishment. Top rating.

My husband and I have stayed in the cottages more than once. They are wonderful, the owner is gracious and fun. The location of the cottages are within walking distance to a nice little restaurant, shops and store. Definitely will continue to go here.

I purposely waited a few years before writing my review. We frequent the cottages, but I wanted to be sure that they maintained the high standards that they set on our first visit. I am happy to confirm that they have, After four years of visiting the cottages I can safely say that this is becoming a family tradition. Our first yea was my Fiance,' and I and since then our family has grown. Our son has came with us two years in a row now and this year he loved it just as much as we did. The lake is clean and clear and so are the grounds. The Owner and the staff are very accommodating and friendly. They did everything we could to make our stay a pleasant one. We cannot wait to teach out son how to ski on Mt. Sunapee. I am look forward to many years at the cottages in both the summer and the winter!

There were MANY positives and I would recommend this place. Plenty of hooks for everyone's coats, bathroom items, towels, clothes etc. I love that in a place to stay. Cabin 1 is tastefully decorated and had extra towels, extra blankets and plenty of pillows. it is important to know that you will not be able to cook a meal here. Yes there is a toaster oven and a microwave but both are quite small. You can make toast, heat up leftovers, and make coffee and tea, but that's about it. I don't think the toaster oven would be big enough for even a small frozen pizza. That's fine and everything is very clean - but it's just important to know. The mini fridge does have a tiny separate freezer. The toiletries were nice and the towels were soft and nice quality. There was a binder with all kinds of maps and things to do. My only complaint is that I could not sleep well. They have bright lights outside, which makes walking down the stone steps to the parking lot safe; however, the bedroom has windows facing the walkways, and as you can see from my photos at 10 PM when I wanted to go to sleep, it is quite bright and does not feel private. For a minimal expense, they could install cheap roller shades and it would have made a world of difference in the bedroom. For a little bit more they could do blinds. At $400 per night I would have expected a better sleeping experience. But if that doesn't bother you, everything else was superb!

Thanks for the review Wendy. So sorry you didn't sleep well. We moved the lamp post last spring to better light the stairs. We hadn't heard that it was shinning into the bedroom windows. We are putting black out shades up this week. We really appreciate it when our guests let us know how we can make improvements. We strive to offer the best possible vacation experience. Glad you still had a fun ski trip and enjoyed all of our amenities. Hope to see you again.

What a lovely find! We spent the weekend in cabin 5 and we loved it. The cabin was lovely, completely renovated and nicely decorated . The yard had green grass, a profusion of flowers and a few chairs to laze around in the sun. The view was pretty... You can't go wrong if you decide to stay there!
